CADQuest.io offers an expanding library of technical Solidworks challenges that are an invaluable asset to our team. Unlike standard "follow-along" tutorials, CADQuest forces you to problem-solve independently before revealing the solution. This "think-first" approach is a far more effective way to learn and encourages our designers to think outside the box.
As a company new to the software, we find the variety of models—often outside our typical scope—perfect for instilling best practices. The time-based scoring adds a competitive edge that drives improvement in both speed and accuracy. It’s even helped me optimise my own workflow and custom shortcuts. We’ve already moved to the paid tier and see this as a long-term training tool and a potential benchmark for vetting new hires.
Highly recommended for any professional team looking to master SolidWorks.

CADQuest has alot of very unique and interesting CAD challenges. Some other sites are fine, but kind of boring. CAQQuest challenges are simply better, they don't just test your knowledge of CAD software, but they force you to think creatively about how to build some of the geometry. Plus the whole point is to make a parametric model that can be updated with a few key dimensions and not break. I really like the required use of equations, 3D sketches, and other advanced features. 10/10!

Fantastic tool for honing your 3D design workflow!

Its not just about speed, its about thinking correctly about design intent. This is critical for passing the model exercises as the solution required two answers (through changing dimensions) meaning constraining correctly is vital. This encourages designers to think ahead and plan how to accomplish it.

It really helps with drilling in good work practices.

The models are challenging which keeps it engaging but is suitable for all levels of experience. The solution videos are very useful! ive learnt alot in the last few days and im hooked!

IMO this is the best cad modelling challenge on the internet!

Currently still in beta, but works exceptionally well, I like the concept, and how it makes you think more about design intent rather than just modeling, great for anyone getting started aswell as people with more experience
