Don't use his plasterers or joiners
We had Steve and his team in to build our extension after work done on a family members house. The general build was fine, however we specifically requested he didn't use the same plasters because their work was horrific. He said not to worry and it would all be fine. once the build had been done and the plastering was finished we began to notice the extremely poor quality. We took pictures and reported it top Steve, who refused to come round and look himself (he essentially took the money and ran); instead he got his plasterer (subcontractor) to attend. At first the plasterer said he would rectify, however as time passed he changed his mind and refused. Now we have an extension where the visual finish is horrific and the builder wont do anything about it. In addition to the above his staff and subcontractors were generally inconsiderate, blocking neighbours drives, parking right over the pavement so that pedestrians couldn't get past etc etc. Extremely disappointing and we would strongly urge people not to use him for anything.
