Tanya was my point of contact. She was very professional and set up an appointment with Paul who is a director. I had to drive an hour to make the appointment which was scheduled for 1200. I got there early but I realised at 1240, that none was going to turn up.
Paul called me and didn’t think that being late was an issue. It certainly was for us. We’d never use a business whose owner couldn’t turn up on time or even bother to apologise and certainly didn’t want to listen when I pointed out he was 40 minutes late. Everyone else in the office was very nice and helpful.

Burgess and Co are exceptional. They rescued our sumulateneous sale of 2 flats and onward purchase during a conveyancing cyber attack from collapse on several occasions; were always supportive, helpful, communicative and professional (unlike some of the other companies we had experience of within the industry). Even at the last hour when the keys were delayed on our purchase they were more helpful than the agent we bought from. Very rare to find such a marvellous team. Thank you Paul, Ben, Liam and team. You are all fabulous.

What can I say? Brilliant service. Burgess and co are a cut above the rest of the agents in the St Leonards and Hastings area. I’m not related to anyone that set up the company, but credit where credit is due. All the staff are friendly and efficient. The directors go the extra mile to work out a solution, if there are problems, after an offer accepted rather than just forwarding emails for comment. I had a particularly stressful chain with anything that could go wrong-going wrong! I always felt I could rely on Ben to give me an honest appraisal whilst maintaining calm whilst I was panicking. I’ve moved 9 times in my life and never thought I’d find an honest estate agent, I think I just did.

Absolutely faultless service: efficient, polite and calm. I would have no hesitation in recommending this excellent agent in future.

After a traumatic London sale, I thought I was put off from house buying ever again, but the team at Burgess & Co came into my life. From the first viewing with Jesse, I knew I was in good hands, on second visit, owner Paul patiently answered all my questions and really knows the local area and its nuances. They negotiated the sale and superstar Ben just did the hard graft on my behalf all the way to completion. The communication/service was amazing and faultless. The team at Burgess & Co provided a first class service from the outset until completion. As usual with selling a property there were ‘bumps’ along the road but Ben, Liam & Paul were always there for reassurance & advice when required. As I was selling a leasehold property there were additional issues to address and all dealt with highly professionally. I also purchased the same property through them originally so clearly I had an excellent experience with them from both sides of the market.

Burgess & Co recently sold my parent's home for my brother and I as part of our inheritance. The house went on the market at a difficult time, with prices falling and the market very quiet.
The advice about the sale they gave to my brother and myself was extremely useful and professional. Despite losing one sale after many months of trying, they continued to work hard to get us the best price, and kept us up do date with all progress even when there was little to report. We never had to chase them for any information and always felt they were "on the case".
I would highly recommend Burgess & Co for their guidance, hard work, and professionalism throughout the process, and for their friendly attitude at all times. I have moved house many times, but seldom had such a good experience with any other estate agent.
