I've tried to do business with this…
I've tried to do business with this company for about 4 weeks now. I have researched all options for this type of product - literally spent hours and hours online looking for the best screens of the type they make and sell.
I originally put my 'custom' order through about 4 weeks ago. After placing my order, I received an email with the shipping price. Sadly, I didn't open it immediately, mistaking it for an auto order confirmation.
About a week later, I opened the email to see when the order would likely ship.
It was then I discovered a 5-day deadline for me to reply - which I missed. The email explained that they would not guarantee delivery to Australia and needed more money to cover shipping (about another USD 100). I had no problem with that given I was so keen to obtain their screens. However, I did mention to them that they had my credit card details and phone number, and I would have appreciated a phone call or SMS to follow up, given they were asking for more $$ and that the consequence of not replying would be the cancellation of my order.
Paypal was an option for payment, so when I attempted to reorder, I chose to do that with Paypal (thinking that would provide some cover if the shipment did go awry - it's now an AUD 500 order after all).
After attempting 3 or 4 more times to reorder using their PayPal checkout, it kept looping back and not going through. I contacted customer services repeatedly to be eventually told they don't actually accept PayPal for international orders. Given it was clearly showing as a payment option, I asked if they could reconsider. I called, I emailed. In the end, they told me to go elsewhere and said that they didn't want my business because I was trying to change their business processes. I found that strange, given PayPal was clearly a payment option on their site, and no mention at all of it not being available to international customers.
So, for these reasons, I HIGHLY recommend you seek another supplier.
Having said all of this, I'm super disappointed, as my research suggests this is by far the best product available. It's just a pity - I really tried everything to do business with these guys - even getting up at 6 am to speak to them directly (their customer service is only open for a few hours a day).
If anyone finds a similar quality product that will ship to Australia and not be weird about it - I'd love you to let me know!
