Absolute wizard – saved my subwoofer after Royal Mail damage

I sent my faulty Q Acoustics subwoofer amp plate to Britfix Repairs for a quote. The original fault was no sound and a buzzing noise. Unfortunately, Royal Mail damaged it in transit – it looked like it had been dropped, cracking the PCB.

Alex sent me photos of the damage, and I honestly thought it was beyond repair. I was dreading having to source a whole new amp plate. But Alex worked his magic and managed to fix everything – all for a great price. Subwoofer is working like new!

I can’t recommend his services enough. He’s now my go-to for any electrical repair. Absolutely amazing service!

I would give more stars if I could. An absolutely outstanding experience. I contacted Britfix Repairs to fix a serious intermittent fault on the source selector of my Yamaha AX-550 amplifier and received a prompt reply from Viktoria, suggesting they inspect it first to provide a realistic quote. I dropped it off the next day and received a very fair quote just a day later.

(Forget the eye-watering prices of fancy boutique repair shops where you can sip a latte while they charge plastic-surgery rates to fix your gear.) Here, you pay for the job done by proper professionals — no fuss, no nonsense.

I asked Oleksandr (the technician) whether repairing the amp would be an issue, and got a laconic “No, not at all.” Two working days later (over Easter !!) Viktoria informed me it was ready for collection. I asked Oleksandr if all inputs were working properly — “Yes, it works perfectly.”

And that really sums it up: an amplifier that was barely usable before is now working flawlessly.

Full marks and many thanks to Britfix Repairs — I will definitely use them again.

Britfix mended my old NAD cassette deck which had noise on the output. I explained the symptoms to them and they gave me a reasonable quote straightaway. I took it to them at 2pm the next day and that evening they sent me a video of it working properly and I picked it up the following afternoon. Will definitely turn to Britfix for any future electronic repairs.

the turn around was very quick and always kept updated with whats happening. Very reasonable on pricing and a good service.

I cannot recomend this company enough. I had a problem with my Cambridge Audio x300 Subwoofer it had a clicking noise coming from inside the subwoofer, it wasnt as powerful as it used to be and when playing very low frequencys it started to crackle. I removed the PCB from my subwoofer and posted it to Britfix. a couple of hours after they recieved it they messaged me to tell me it had been repaired and it was on its way back to me. I recieved it back today 5 days after I posted it to them and it is working again as good as new. This has saved me £450 on a replacement Sub and I cant thank them enough.

He fixed the subwoofer of my LG SN5Y soundbar, which was not working and crackling. I was about to throw it away as 3 shops had said they couldnt fix it, and the LG support was totally useless. Good communications and he sent it back to me really quick. Very reasonable price. Altogether delighted

Britfix repairs provided me with an excellent service, they repaired my centre speaker (Dali Epicon Vokal) in less than a day and at a very reasonable price.

Britfix successfully repaired my Cambridge Audio Minx 200 speaker which seemed to have an amplification problem. The service was exemplary with good communication and very fast repair and delivery. Britfix repaired a pair of Brainwavz Alara headphones that others including Brainwavz (no longer in production) weren't even interested in having a look at. Britfix received the headphones and had them returned in a week. Absolutely brilliant.
