Put it near the sofa as soon as it arrived—glass is thicker than the one I got last winter, and that one felt flimsy compared to this. Flame stays even, doesn’t tilt like some cheap ones I’ve tried before. Not moving it around much because the whole thing feels substantial on the table.
Had these ivy lights up for a week, ended up keeping one in the entryway because the glow was softer than what I expected from the photos. The leaves don’t feel plasticky like those discount garlands I bought last spring. No tangling on installation, which is rare. My neighbor asked where I found ones that actually hang straight and the chain feels sturdy, even when it’s windy.
Funny thing, I thought it’d feel flimsy but the glass cylinder is heavier than my old tealight holders. already left it on the dining table two nights, flame height stays steady unless you bump the base. no weird wobble, just sits solid. nothing like the cheap lightweight ones I tried earlier.
Last lantern I had felt flimsy, sharp corners everywhere and paint started flaking after a month outside. This one just feels heavier in the hand, the cut-outs are even and edges are smooth, no splinters or cheap spots visible. Finally something that doesn’t rattle every time wind blows.
