They're disrespectful, immature and have terrible customer service skills
I'm part of the SLT at an international non profit. I reached out to Brandwatch to find out whether they work on corporate partnerships and received a quick response, followed by a scheduled meeting.
On the call one of their representatives started laughing why I was explaining the partnership vision. I asked him what was funny but he said "nothing". So I'm assuming 1) he was either live messaging his colleague on the call while I was talking, or 2) not paying attention and reading messages.
I was told on that call that they would speak to their partnerships team and get back to me later that day. I never heard back.
A few weeks later I made a compliant via their website form because I was still unhappy/uncomfortable with the whole experience. The reply was beyond inadequate.
I thought Brandwatch was an impressive brand. But they're actually disrespectful, immature and have terrible customer service skills.
Aggressive sales tactics
Aggressive sales tactics - calling me 2 to 3 times per day since September (it is now January). They are relentless with emails and calls and refuse to quit no matter how many times I hang up on them or ignore them. Due to their aggressive sales approach, there is no chance I would ever do business with them, even if there was a business need. Stop calling me.
Poor quality for the inflated price
Be careful to understand what you are buying. Lots of features, but each will cost you. I purchased a package for 2 years @ $12k a year with 3 users. Before buying, I always put into an email my understanding of what I am buying. Lucky I did as the system was not programmed correctly and I was missing many of the features I paid for.
The project manager or CSR would add the features, but I always got a lecture before she would add "what I paid for." I lost months of use because the company cared more about selling than programming the software based on what one buys.
My recommendation is to stay away from this software if you are a company that only posts 15 or less times a week. It's expensive, and the ROI is not there. The fighting with them to get what I paid for speaks volumes about their values. Brandwatch comes 1st and not the customer.
Nice and smooth collaboration
I recently worked with Brandwatc, the whole experience was smooth and profressional.
Communication was clear, fast and everything handled good.
Based on the experience, we are happy to collaborate again in future.
I just got a cold call from BrandWatch…
I just got a cold call from BrandWatch offering me a ‘job’ where I will get paid for leaving reviews for hotels and restaurants on Google that I haven’t been to. I said, ‘so you basically want to pay people to leave fake reviews?’ to which the woman said, ‘er no they aren’t fake reviews, we are helping legitimate businesses with their marketing…’ I said, ‘with fake reviews…’ phone went dead.
Hopefully they’ll make this sort of thing illegal at some point.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I used to love Brandwatch. Not any more.
I liked it so much I took it to new workplaces, and have recommended it to colleagues many times. NEVER AGAIN.
I've been trying to cancel an autorenewal scheduled for July since January but emails go unacknowledged. I've tried numerous email addresses - nothing - and there's no phone number listed. (Presumably so that staff aren't forced to defend dodgy business practices?)
Even worse, the in-platform chat function appears to have been disabled so I can't contact support. Nasty stuff.
So the autorenewal went through and now I'm wasting time emailing into the abyss trying to secure a refund. Wish me luck.
Zero upon ten. Program that could not deliver and a team that pushes blame
Zero upon ten.
Was promised multiple features during sales and demo and was told that all issues can be resolved. Upon using the program for 1 day, it can't even properly schedule a post without screwing up alignment or better still, not able to post.
Contacted the sales rep and she told me she has no authority and asked me to talk to customer success team. Spoke to the customer success team and she also acknowledged it as a program issue and not able to resolve it, told her to cancel the program and she say she will follow up. That was in Feb 2025.
Till today, the company finance team is still sending me payment reminder AND are threatening and the customer success agent went MIA. Contacted sales agent and she say it is not her fault.
What a total waste of time. There are much better programs out there with more humane approach.
Zero upon ten.
Brandwatch is horrible
Brandwatch is horrible. We weren't happy with any aspect of it: The product, the service and mainly the business ethics. We black-listed them as a vendor and will never engage with them in the future. We recommend anyone thinking about doing business with this company to avoid doing so. Zero out of ten.
Why don't you have a number for people to contact you, it's giving SCAM
I received a package in the mail from this company and I don't know why. I've never signed up and I don't even know what this company do. In the package was a letter, that said "Brandwatch" on the top and underneath that it says "Store Evaluator Task Instructions". There was also a check inside from Belco community credit union for the amount of $985. The letter tells me to deposit the money, and use $800 of that to buy 2 $400 gift cards from Nordstrom and I supposed to keep $185. I went to Brandwatch's website to see what they're about, website didn't really give me what I was looking for so I tried contacting them. The number that was giving for Brandwatch is a run around and I can't send a ticket unless I have a business email. Not sure who to contact, but after doing my research, the BRANDWATCH company in general just gives SCAM, and after reading these reviews, that's exactly what it's giving.......SCAM
Lack of Professionalism and Unreliable Customer Service
We were initially interested in subscribing to Brandwatch and had a 15-minute introductory call with their sales representative. The first meeting went smoothly, and we were looking forward to a live demo to better evaluate the product. However, scheduling the demo turned into a frustrating experience.
Despite setting up a meeting multiple times, the company canceled at the last minute—three times in a row. Each time, the cancellation happened just minutes before the agreed-upon time, with no prior notice or attempt to reschedule in a professional manner.
This experience raised serious concerns about their reliability and customer service. If they are this unresponsive during the sales process, it makes us question how they handle actual customer support. Unfortunately, due to this lack of professionalism, we’ve decided to look elsewhere.

Brandwatch: Useful Tool, Predatory Business Practices
I was a strong advocate for Brandwatch, regularly recommending it to peers & leadership groups. That stops today.
Brandwatch quietly slipped an auto-renewal clause into our manual renewal agreements, locking users into another contract cycle without explicit consent. When challenged, they deflect & claim it’s "standard practice" - but previous renewals were always accompanied by an account manager reaching out & confirming manually. Now, they don't even give you an automated heads up. This is a predatory move that prioritises short-term gains over long-term trust.
If a company needs fine print trickery to retain customers, it speaks volumes about their ethics & confidence in their product. There are better analytics tools out there that don’t rely on legal landmines to keep customers on board.
Would I recommend Brandwatch now? Absolutely not. Would I ever trust them again? Not a chance. Sies.
Brandwatch Review
Brandwatch Review: Aggressive Sales, Not Worth It
I expected Brandwatch to be a useful analytics tool, but instead, I got nonstop sales calls and a pushy hard-sell approach. Setting up a meeting was a waste of time—they focus more on selling than providing real value. Feels more like a scam than a legit platform. Avoid if you want a hassle-free experience.
Frustrating Experience with Brandwatch: Great Features Overshadowed by Persistent Issues
Our experience with Brandwatch has been difficult from the start. The tool has significant flaws that make working with it very challenging: We have to manage comments and likes directly within Instagram, deleted comments reappear, and the chaotic calendar view mixes posts with ads. Additionally, the lack of notifications for clients when changes are made results in constant extra effort. Another issue is that approved content is not automatically scheduled but has to be manually edited. On top of that, Brandwatch is only available in English, which severely limits its usefulness for reports in German.
Another major point of criticism is the poor onboarding communication. The entire setup process was unclear, and we had to invest a lot of time to understand basic functions that should have been intuitive. Despite multiple inquiries, minor errors were never truly resolved — the only response was to contact support, but even there, no lasting solution was provided. The promised features were not even remotely met, and many of the functions we expected were either faulty or simply nonexistent. The lack of support and insufficient bug fixes reinforced the impression that Brandwatch is not able to keep up with the demands of agencies.
Moreover, we are locked into a 12-month contract, even though the tool is unusable for us in its current form. These costs are now unnecessarily burdening our budget and are completely disproportionate to the service provided.
Sales Rep Lied
Sales Rep Lied
I purchased Brandwatch and specifically asked for a 1 person seat and was told premium was a 1 person seat for the software. The sales rep sold me premium and I could have paid $400 a month less if I was given the standard plan, which is for 1 person. My paperwork was also, mixed up with another clients and they got my package and I got theirs. The sales team and customer service is only interested in the sale. They do not look at you as a customer or want to help correct their mistakes. I would never buy from this group. The software is good, but the cost and game to buy is not worth the product.
Misleading marketing
Misleading marketing. Advertising free demo for so to put you in upsale for alot of other things. I wanted posting schedule and it said free demo. Its not. You need to have a meeting. And they dont only deliver that solution alone

What even is GDPR?
Ironically likes to send me unsolicited spam despite my never having engaged in any way with their business.
If you're considering their services, I would consider very carefully if you want to risk working with a company that seems to have missed the boat on GDPR and user consent.

Brandwatch UK Team
The interview process at Brandwatch is pathetic. I don't see this as an equal employer. I had 3 rounds of interviews with the team on the multiple-use cases and a presentation of a work sample. I could sense that I have cleared most interview rounds. But they did not offer me an offer letter as not been considerate of equal opportunity. The hired someone from outside and did not inform me after weeks of follow-up I saw informed the situation. Not a good place to grow if oppourtunities not given Equal.
