Failed to deliver
Manager phoned up the day before my equipment was due for hire to say it had been checked on return from a previous hire and required a new engine. Promised to look for an alternative item and get back to me that day (he didn’t). Chased the following day and asked for a call back (didn’t happen). Chased again and spoke to the manager who said he’d get back to me early next week with an update (he didn’t) and then again a week after the equipment should have been delivered - which had still not been fully repaired. So cancelled the order and went elsewhere.

What a fantastic service, Hired a Wacker plate from the Redditch branch for a paving projected ordered and paid online for delivery. Comms was fantastic arrived when they said it would, delivery gent was friendly and helpful, showed me how to get it working etc. and what everything did, collected it when they said they would. The whole hire process was seamless, did exactly what was supposed to happen with no intervention from me.

No petrol in tank and machine not working correctly…
Scarifier arrived promptly with helpful delivery driver. Fuel tank was empty despite being charged for a tank. Driver photographed empty tank through cap opening as proof. Engine started easily but throttle cable action didn't raise revs enough to engage clutch for scarifier cassette to rotate. Rang number of local office twice to report missing petrol and fault. Answering machine with message to say dealing with another customer and will ring back. Still waiting for call back weeks later. Job needed doing so I tweeked throttle to get machine operating. Did job. Machine collected as agreed.
Still no response from Brandon, out of pocket for petrol, machine needed tweeking to be usable.
Could have let me unable to do job on agreed day
No customer back up when called helpline.
Machine delivered and collected by Redditch branch but booked on line so I don't know who is responsible. Called local Redditch branch when needed help but no return call.

Mixed first experience
Reserved item online. Received call to say it wasn't available, so was offered a suitable alternative. However it took several calls to organise both delivery and collection, both of which happened several days after what had been agreed. This meant lots of waiting around for people to turn up, including being told that the driver wouldn't be coming as arranged because they had been sent somewhere else(!).
Pleasant staff but a lot of hassle and didn't seem overly organised, with a lot of chasing up from my end.

The equipment was Great, clean and worked well and the staff were really friendly and going out their way to be helpful which was quite refreshing.
