Called this company today to hire a machine, we have been in business in Livingston for over 40 years as a limited company.
The person who answered my call seemed more intent on NOT helping me as his first words were we do not hire to the public and not are you a company.
He then went out of his way to make things as awkward as possible for me to not hire, IE you don't have an account, it could take a week or more to set one up, have you tried the other local hire companies??
I simply said to him that you obviously have no interest in acquiring new customers and thank you for being so unhelpful then hung up, what a rude company.

I hired a large wood chipper for a week back in August this year, through National Tool hire, when it went off hire i filled the tank to the brim with diesel, after a nightmare of a time getting my deposit back from NTH, I eventually got it with a £70 deduction for fuel !!!!!!, I contacted NTH and they said that Brandon are the ones that report the fuel usage to them hence the deduction, I contacted Brandon, they blamed it on NTH, and NTH are blaming Brandon, we are now in November and I cant get an answer from any of the 2 companies, so still £70 down, either it’s a deliberate act to defraud the hirer (me) or the chap that picked it up from site syphoned diesel from the tank., I thought Brandon would have been more helpful, however avoid NTH like the plague, just check trust-pilot to see how bad they are

Great Service
After collecting the small plant item ( 12" wacker plate) I returned home but when trying it out the next day I could not get it started. I returned to the branch with it where the fitters quickly attended to it and after a few small adjustments soon had it running perfectly. Polite and courteous staff
Polite and courteous staff, all items were ready for me when I arrived. I had assistance getting the tools into the car and the same when I returned it the following day.
All in all, a good experience which, should the need arise, I would be happy to repeat.

Great service
On a visit to the hiring station in Livingston, I was shown the ladders they had available. Delivery and pickup of the ladder was flawless and prompt with notice also given of when delivery and drop off would be. I cannot fault the service.

Excellent service
Hired a conservatory ladder from them. Ladder was in great shape. The drop off and collection was on time and the driver was friendly. Excellent communication from the company about the hire. Highly recommended!

I hired the saw from Thursday to Monday, I finished the job and off hired the saw on Friday. The saw was picked up on Saturday morning by a very lazy man(I carried the saw to the van), I was expecting a refund for returning the saw early.
