Using the website is not straightforward but the local branch is polite friendly and helpful

I would NOT recommend this company at all!!

After 3 different conversations and confirming what I would need to complete a job on my roof, the scaffolding turned up and was damaged and not tall enough for the job!

Despite multiple contacts to the Kings Lynn branch and head office I have had no response other than I ordered it wrong (even though my invoice shows what I ordered and it was exactly what I was advised!!). I even ordered this whilst on the phone to a member of staff…..

No response and no responsibility taken! Avoid this awful company. I am £300 out of pocket due to this! MAJOR H&S risk with their equipment too!!!

Equipment great.
Delivery great.
Collection appalling. Did not collect on specified date. Twice later in the weekI had to take time off work for collection. Needs improvement.

Cannot rate them highly enough for their service, the staff are always polite, efficient and knowledgeable. We use them every year for toilet hire and would never use another company.

Booking process was fairly straightforwards.

Getting a time/guidance for delivery was tricky though. Communications on this were not great and when phoning the branch in the morning it was due got a very short 'before 12' answer.

It did arrive 'before 12' but only just (around 11:55).

It was collected only just after 12 the following day, so although you have to pay for a 2-day hire with delivery and collection I ended up with only a day of useful machine time really.

The driver was helpful and accommodating in doing the delivery to the rear of the property though.

The costs of fuel are a bit high though.

The machine did what I needed it to do.

Hired a sander. Ready to collect on time and plenty of advice on how to use it. Will be using again.

Easy procedure. Reliable delivery and collection.

Ordered on line and paid without issues. Was kept up to-date via email for delivery and collection. A good all round experience.

Needed a Wacker for block paving for the weekend. From start to finish the whole process was simple and straightforward. I overan with the timing and asked to extend for another 3 days which was no problem and a bonus of a very small additional cost.
Perfect. I would still be waiting for a return call if I'd gone for a more expensive option for the same thing from Travis Perkins.

Great advice and service from phone contact to face to face information and follow up. John, Dan and Dan (driver) couldn’t do enough to help.

Very easy to sort out what you need and if you have an issue they are on hand to help.

I hired a mixer, rcd & wheelbarrow for a days job of mixing screed for an area some 20msq by 65mm. Unfortunately in the rain.

I asked for some compensation as the RCD stopped working immediately and wheelbarrow had a slow puncture. Causing significant delays to the job and crew.

My emails and telephone calls were ignored by King's Lynn branch which resulted in me liasing between my rep and the branch.

As soon as the items were delivered to the site I removed the RCD from the mixer drum and placed it in the kitchen. On the day, it was then taken from the kitchen, connected and covered over by a green TP Bulk sand bag to keep it dry. The mixer was then started and ran ror maybe 30/60 seconds before stopping. Despite the RCD showing lights it didn't work. A phone call to the branch resulted in another RCD being sent out causing an hours delay.

The delivery driver removed the TP bag to connect up the replacement RCD and then it was subsequently recovered after checking it all worked.

Work started and it was further noticed that the wheelbarrow wheel was now flat. A further phone call we were told it had only just been changed and tested before sending out. After pumping it up it was noted as a slow puncture. This resulted in stopping to pump up the tyre every hour.

When work finished the replacement RCD was taken back inside and put in the kitchen. The driver on collection had to ask me for the RCD as it was still in the kitchen?

I am now told they will forgo the cost of the wheelbarrow but I will be charged for everything else as I am guilty of leaving both RCDs submerged causing water damage? I have 2 witneeses that repute this.

All I can say is, in my experience, BEWARE of this branch Brandon Hire. My previous branch Northampton, the customer service was excellent.

I will unfortunately now be going to HSS & TP

UPDATE 05/03/2024:

I have received no helpful communication whatsoever? I was told that the local BSM would contact me also - nothing!

No contact from 'the team' just obviously a PR ploy to try and look helpful.

All I've received is an invoice for the full hire amount? Just not good enough Brandon Hire!

Good service and advice, training given and product worked perfectly.

Really helpful staff, great experience. Would use again for sure x
