Communication around ordering needs to be clearer, but I've no issues with the products

I ordered a cotbed and mattress from Boori on the 1st of January. The cotbed arrived really quickly on the 4th of January, but the mattress didn't arrive at the same time. There was nothing communicated at the time to advise that it would be coming in two separate deliveries. In fact when the first package arrived it said one of one. There was no update with the order on shop, boori, via email or anything else to explain they'd be arriving separately.

This led to me googling and seeing all these reviews and panicking somewhat.

I emailed boori and received a reply back 5 working days from my initial contact. They provided tracking for the mattress which then turned up that day (10th of January).

I've no issue with the wait from time of ordering, but do feel like items arriving separately needs to be communicated to the buyers before it happens.

The cotbed was missing one of the m6x70mm screws when it arrived. Luckily we needed to assemble it with the side off, and so it hasn't been missed, if we'd used it as a cot we'd have needed to try and get replacements from Boori or order some online.

The cotbed so far feels really sturdy and looks very smart. Very happy with it.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Ordered a bunk bed with conversion kit one month ago, 2 weeks later 2 of the 6 boxes were delivered and then NOTHING. No email replies, nothing from the shipping agent who lost the boxes. We will contest the charge with our bank today. If Boori want the other boxes back they need to arrange to collect them!

Seriously, how hard is basic customer service??????

Edit - it’s now almost 2 months later, they still have our money and still NO BED and no offer for solving the problem.

Great experience

Ordered end of November and item arrived on 10th December. Got an email the first week of December to book my delivery and it all went very smoothly. Was concerned after reading reviews on here but had no need to worry. We ordered the forest teepee loft bed and the quality is fantastic. It was very straight forward to put together and the instructions were easy to follow. Would buy from again without hesitation.

Boori Neat single bed

We bought a Neat single kids bed from Boori and once we started the assembly, it quickly became obvious that it would not fit together. The holes drilled into the slats of the base did not align with the guide holes on the bed sides. Vanessa at Boori asked for measurements and pictures, claiming that they had not seen this problem before. Finally, she agreed to send some new slats as she thought the problem was caused by their supplier.
The new slats were even worse so, exasperated, I returned the bed to Boori.
Convinced that we had simply been unlucky, we ordered the same bad from a retailer, Baby Little Planet. Again, the same problem! I actually called in a carpenter friend for a second opinion, in case I was being stupid. He agreed that there was no way the bed would fit together without drilling new holes. We then found that the sides were warped so we had to use straps to get them as straight as we could before drilling the new guide holes and fixing the slats to the bed.
I was lucky to be able to call upon a tradie who had the tools and knowledge to sort out the issues.
I am still waiting for Boori to refund me for the bed I returned.

Do not buy from Boori!

Just like the review earlier today (and many more previously) I too have been ignored with no sign of the bed frame order many weeks ago. Initially received a reply (after multiple emails chasing) to confirm that the bed frame was in stock ready to dispatch, then apparently 'a system update' was delaying the dispatch..and i've been ignored ever since. I've also contacted Boori Australia to ask if the UK distributor is still operating. The contact telephone number is useless (and the voicemail has not updated his opening hours over Xmas 2023). For a supposedly premium product, it's dire customer service.
Will now be escalating to credit card company as Boori happily takes the payment whilst not providing the goods. Avoid.

I have placed an order from Boori at the start of October. I’ve emailed, contacted on socials and had no response. The money has been taken but I can’t get in touch with them at all. The number I have goes to a voicemail which hasn’t been updated since last year. Is this company still going? I’ve no idea how else I can contact this company and chase my order?

One Month Waiting for Delivery

Hello, Boori, can you please be quicker at sorting out your own messes? I'm tired of seeing my kids sleeping on the floor while 80% of their bed is in my living room and 20% in your warehouse.

EDIT: it took complaining on all possible social media channels to get the missing box delivered. Very cheeky from the Australian office to send me an email asking to removed my 1-star review since my order was placed in the UK and sending me the local contact details (which I had already as they're very easy to find in the Internet), when they should be focusing on how poor the UK team operations is. Not buying again and not recommending to any of my Interior Design studio clients.

Customer Service is woeful

I really wish I had read the reviews on this company before purchasing. The product is fine, if a little optimistically priced for what it is. But the customer service and communication is appalling and really not appropriate for a company selling at the price point Boori are. I ordered furniture, that the website said had a 7-10 day lead time. I got no further communication beyond order confirmed email so chased up after 10 days. Was advised the item wasn't in stock and I would get it in 4-5 weeks. I would not have purchased had I known that. However the item was then further delayed, I got an email that I replied to but that wasn't acknowledged and Boori later denied having received it. The items finally turned up almost 8 weeks after ordering, no apology, no discount for the inconvenience. This company's products are nice but they do not have the logistics or customer service capability to match their products and the price point they are selling at. I would never use them again.

Better communication but overall happy

I ordered some storage boxes and clothes rail to fit on top. Only the clothes rail and some boxes for the storage unit arrived. I was fuming. I read some of these reviews and panicked. I tried calling and emailed. I never got to speak to anyone but after a couple of hours they responded via email. I might also add that I'd contacted them via Facebook and but a stop to the payment through PayPal. They asi responded on Facebook.

After panicking, I have to say they resolved the issue and informed that the my parcels have been shipped. I checked this info with the supplied tracking info and they are now built in my daughters room. Really pleased with them.

Yes, they are not a big corporation and definitely have a long way to go with how they operate. However, I got my goods and i am very pleased. I think because the products they sell are premium prices that we expect a better service. And rightfully so! I think communication could've been better and my situation could've been avoided with a simple email explaining that my goods would come in 3 shipments. Which in itself was annoying.

But, on this occasion, I am a happy customer.

Stick with bigger brands you can trust

Bought a single bed for my son. Boori sent an incorrect box full of bunk bed bits. Took four days to get a response from customer services. To be fair the correct bits did arrive three days later.

Offered 10% discount on their website as a goodwill gesture which is what you get if you sign up to their newsletter. Pitiful.

Read this review before purchasing!

Really wishing I had read these reviews before ordering our cot as I deeply regret this purchase. Cot arrived with missing pieces and needed to be collected which was extremely painful. Customer service team at Boori did not read my email properly requesting pick up window times and booked in for a day I wasn’t available on. I had to call to rearrange collection myself. The delivery still came on the same day and my partner was home working but driver unable to wait so we needed to reschedule again as there was a mix up with the courier service. I have been told on numerous occasions the replacement has been sent and upon my last follow up customer service at boori needed me to confirm the mattress we had (which did not need to be returned) was in fact correct because they don’t currently have any mattress stock. Just an absolutely shambles! Polite customer service team but simply inexperienced and not prioritizing the customer. This process has been over a month so far and we still don’t have our replacement cot bed despite our child outgrowing their next to me!

Terrible service defective product

—— updated since customer service replied me saying they worked with me to resolve the issue (which is so not true) my order no SO26834 in case anyone think I am lying——

First contact 25 Aug23, I sent pictures of damages
Customer service immediately send back a message said I order from a third party and I should not be contacting Boori (which was not true)
I explained I ordered directly from Boori, custom service did not apologise did not address me and was rude “in your own word these are minor damages”
Agreed with 15% partial refund, I purchased £124 of goods and I got £10.8 back, at what universe is this 15%?
The whole experience has been a nightmare and here you have the audacity to say you worked with me to resolve, - no you did not, it was too painful so I gave up.

Bought a climbing arch and slider bar, the delivery was slow which was okay. Then there was scratches and the climbing arch wobbled. Contacted customer service, who was eye opening rude and did not care a single bit about the quality issues I had. I had to chase after her again and again while she gets impatient. Never seen this sort of customer service. Will not ever buy again.

Customer service non existent

Customer service non existent. Been chasing for return for weeks for the order that took weeks to arrive… I am not sure who is running this business but clearly questionable how legitimate this company even is

Bought nearly 2K worth of nursery…

Bought nearly 2K worth of nursery furniture for our babies room from Pram Centre Glasgow.

Delivered and both cot and dresser was damaged. Had it build up as told parts could be delivered but Boori demanded we disassemble, rebox and take downstairs again (this stuff is heavy and I can’t lift as I was pregnant!). Communication was AWFUL and Boori basically asked what we want them to do about it… was offered £75 to keep furniture damaged! Absolute joke! So had no choice but to replace and wait in 2 days so they could collect damaged furniture on a separate day… unsure why this couldn’t be done on the same day!?

Got a replacement sent to find damage was still on cot (at this point I couldn’t bare to wait for replacement) and dresser arrived with more damage than the first one!!!!

At this point I was 39 weeks pregnant and really stressed!

Our babies room was a complete mess with clothes everywhere - not what you need when you’re about to have a baby!!! So packed the dresser back up and started the rigmarole again!!!

Eventually got the dresser redelivered and old one collected (two separate days again where I had to stay in!) and still has a mark!

The shop we bought from told us Boori would either replace or refund - not both… even after all the issues and stress!!!! Makes sense now by amount of recent negative reviews as they’d have to pay so many customers compensation for similar issues!

Premium prices for crap - bought a toy box from B&M for her room for £30 and no damage at all… when B&M is better quality than you there’s a serious issue! Get yourself some quality control it’s embarrassing.

I WILL NEVER buy Boori again and I will certainly NEVER recommend!!

Premium Price, Awful service .

Utter rubbish service for a premium price.

Ordered a £600 dresser with changing table top through pramworld. Waited 4.5 weeks for a delivery and two changing table tops turn up, no drawers in sight.

After much phoning and emailing, Boori agreed there was an issue and then got their act together, so a week later they collect the redundant table top, and deliver the dresser. We wish that was the end of the pain but no. On opening the packaging we discovered not only was the the unit chipped and paint cracked, the middle drawer runners were installed opposite to each other so it would not open and close fully nor align with the rest of the drawers! Almost comical.

How awful it is that a company is sending out such highly price products with no quality control.

Avoid this company. We are chasing a refund.

Great value and quality

Whilst I appreciate there are some bad reviews on here. I honestly can’t fault the furniture quality and price.

We ordered 2 neat single beds and 1 neat 3 drawer chest.

The quality and finishes are excellent. The paint is of good quality and thickness. The construction materials are also great for the money. We bought when they were having a sale. You honestly will struggle to buy furniture of this quality and ease of assembly elsewhere. From my experience with them I can’t fault it. A very happy customer, who will happily do business with them again. Many thanks Boori
