Hi Miranda,
We are so sorry to hear that you found the beans too salty. They are cooked slowly in bean stock which adds seasoning during production. Many of our customers like to add this stock to soups and stews - however, we understand that it was not to your liking. Regarding the mould - this may have happened if the lids were knocked around in transit. We will be in touch with you directly to follow this up soon!

The beans are the best I've ever tasted. However it's hard to understand the decision to send out 12 glass jars without any packing what-so-ever between them. On contacting them, they are replacing the smashed jars, but it was a dangerous mess in the box and would put me off ordering again unless there is better packing organised.

Thanks Angela! Our jars do tend to keep in the fridge for at least a week once opened and can be great for adding into salads or stews as a little extra to 'bulk' out a meal 🙌🏻

These beans are phenomenal!
These beans are phenomenal! My wife makes us hummus once a week and using the Bold Bean Queen chick peas we had the tastiest hummus ever. We also made the butter bean stew from the Guardian recipe by Anna Jones. Delicious! Yes these beans are expensive but then you pay ££££ for steak or good wine. These will be the best beans you’ll ever taste. We intend to use them regularly.

Very good quality product
Very good quality product - well packed and presented. Both the chick peas and butter beans are much better than those I have tried in tins !

Well done everyone at The Bold Bean
My order was promptly dealt with, even though I expect they had been very busy after being on Radio 4. It was very impressively packaged, a beautiful example of good design. I had ordered two boxes, one of Queen and one of organic. I checked the Queen box and it was fine, but when I checked the organic box there was one jar of Queen chickpeas by mistake. I alerted The Bold Bean Company to this and very quickly had an apology and a voucher for future use. Whenever I have contacted the company by email, I have always had a polite, prompt response. Well done to everyone involved it The Bold Bean! Oh, and the chickpeas taste just great, straight from the jar.

My parcel of six jars arrived promptly…
My parcel of six jars arrived promptly but unfortunately, one jar was damaged in transit. I phoned and spoke to Amelia (didn't realise at the time she was the founder!) who could not have been more helpful in putting this right. We even chatted for a couple of minutes about recipes!
The beans are delicious, btw. Will buy again.
