Booked my 7 Series infor a routine service but as always they look over the whole car and were able to alert me that the discs and pads were beyond legal limits of wear. They also had records available for the car, presumably from new, and mentioned that the gearbox had never been serviced. They suggested doing that as well. All the work was done that day and the difference in drive was immediately noticeable. I knew exactly what it was going to cost at the time I made the decisions, as they were able to tell me up front. I like this and have never had that experience with anyone else. The staff are brisk and businesslike but friendly and knowledgeable. I like the way they 'adopt' my car and take total care of it.

I recently bought a 2009 Z4 as a project car. I took it to Grosvenor for a full service and to get advice to see if I had bought a good car, or not! They offered a free 'new buyers guide/survey' of the car. They did the service and pointed out some things that needed either urgent attention, or things that would enhance the drive and could be seen to at a later date. Very transparent with pricing, no pressure to get stuff done and very competetive pricing against a main BMW dealership. Very pleased with service, advice and costs and will definitely use them as my go-to BMW service company.

Had the clutch replaced on my 320i . Initially I received excellent advice from the reception staff and the work was completed in the day , Completely satisfied with the service and that the bill was EXACTLY THE SAME as the estimate , Very impressed

Two years ago they retrofitted Apple CarPlay to my BMW X6 and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately, after my steering rack failed, I had to return to the main dealer under my BMW warranty. During the repair they had to reprogram the car via the head unit, removed the CarPlay, and in the process damaged the unit, which they eventually replaced after a fair bit of back and forth.

From that point on, the system never worked properly. I lost the ability to make calls or send messages using the steering wheel controls. I made countless trips back to the dealer at my own expense, only to be told everything from "your phone is too old" to "you need to buy ConnectedDrive." Every visit ended with a different excuse, but never a solution.

I reached out to Grosvenor BMW Reading, and Justin replied quickly and simply said ‘pop the car in and we’ll reinstall Apple CarPlay’

I did indeed, and within an hour they had diagnosed the real problem. The head unit installation had never been put back together correctly after the warranty repair - the Wi-Fi antenna lead, which is essential for connectivity, had simply been left disconnected, it was sat in the glovebox! They reconnected it and everything works exactly as it had before.

What impressed me most wasn't just that they fixed it; it was their knowledge, honesty and professionalism. They didn't blame my phone, sell me services I didn't need, or make excuses. They found the fault, explained it clearly and put it right.

After much frustration, it was an enormous relief to finally have someone who genuinely knew what they were doing, and not only that they didn’t even charge me. When have you ever received that kind of service…

Have been getting my car serviced at Grosvenor BMW Specialist, Reading for last few years. Satisfied with the service so far, very accommodative front-desk staff for booking appointments, quick turn-around and technical specialists are equally good. Sometimes they also do goodwill gestures 😉 my BMW emblem got stolen from Reading town centre parking ☹ I was very disappointed, but the staff offered me to help by ordering genuine BMW emblem and fixed it for me without charging any extra labour charges.

So, long story...
I have an 2006 Mini Cooper S R53.
It stopped twice, once in Tesco UXbridge carpart and once on the a40 for very differnt reasons.
Fist time the security module (EWS) decided it didn't want to talk to the Engine controller (ECU).
They "fixed" that by me supplying a full set - ECU, BCU and EWS.
But they didn't wat to fix the second issue of overheating as it would take up a bay for too long (£2ooo if you really want us to do it).
I can do a head swap in about 4 hours!

So, whats the issue...
Got it all working again, wehn to open the sunroof, nothing, rear wiper nothing (jets worked), A/C BCU says its on ECU wont turn on the A/C.
Integrated steering to the head unit nothing.

Took it back, they had it for a week and apparently the software licencing has gone capute...

Odd because NCS Expert, NCS Dummy and WinKFP dont have licences...
So in reality the translation reads we aren't really interested we can make more dosh elswhere, its too dificult and we took £850 off you last time so we have your money an thats the important thing...

All in all a bit half baked, off to the main dealer then!

Who at least is probably going to be honest enough to not support it! (but they are willing to try)

Car was in for an MOT today - not a BMW but heard they do other cars. Service was excellent - no fuss, drama. Paperwork was all ready, courtesy car organised. Good communication - called when the car was done and was even cleaned. Great price. Just what you need for your car - trustworthy, reliable service. Thank you George - I would definitely recommend

This was a visit for an oil service for my X3 and all went smoothly, as have my previous dealings with them for my daughter’s Mini.

I was advised to take my car to a BMW garage as I was having problems with the electronics in the car.
They had my car for 8 days and they couldn’t solve the problem,they said I needed a new head for £1450.00 I said no and paid a bill of £550.00 and left. I rang Grosvenor Motor Co made an appointment and duly took the car in.In 3 hours they had repaired my car and everything was fixed.BMW blamed everyone else for the problems they couldn’t fix.Grosvenor were brilliant they were very friendly and helpful. Can’t fault their service in anyway.

Georgia has been extremely helpful very polite and extremely knowledgeable.

I needed to have my car checked out and any problems rectified. Grosvenor checked it all, and were able to reassure me about the state of my car. This is the second time I've used them and I'll be back. The people were friendly and positive and it showed that they'd rather give good service than make a quick buck! I have no connection to the company other that as a very satisfied customer!

Managed to call up and get my car booked in for the next day. Sos call system battery replacement took only 3hrs and cost about £500 less than the local BMW dealership quoted.
Staff engagement was good and well worth the 90 mile drive to get there from Gloucester.

Would like to say a big thank you to the really helpful mechanics and reception team who helped me out today with my mini and the problem of the exhaust. Put it up on ramps for me to see underneath and took photos for me to show to the garage that fitted a new one less than a year ago it needed repairing. Many thanks guys you are always so helpful

Never use this company. Cost me a fortune to rectify the damage they caused to my car after taking my car to them for a simple service. Ended up spending thousands at BMW. Should have paid the extra £10 to get my oil changed at an official BMW garage.
Since using them I’ve had others tell me about insufficient work they’ve had done there.

Not a competitor nor do I hold a grudge but this cost me too much to rectify not to leave a compliant. When I gave you a chance to fix the issues I had with the work you guys decided to brush me off (and pay more) and from a quick read I'm not the only one who has had an issues that had to be rectified elsewhere.

We travelled for nearly 7 hours (round trip) to have cruise control fitted to my bmw x1 and what a fantastic experience, we dealt with Barry who was very professional and only 2 and a half hours later I received a call to say the work had been completed and my car was just being cleaned, on returning to pick up my car I dealt with Justin who was also very professional, I cannot speak highly enough of my experience and whilst it was nearly a 7 hour round trip it was well worth it, I highly recommend this company and wouldn't hesitate to use again from a very happy customer

Took my mini in for service, brake fluid change and MOT fantastic service from grosvenor- superb value and really professional - I won't be taking the car anywhere else and neither should you

Second time at Grosvenor after getting all-round discs and pads done in March this year. This time, it's interim service and MOT time - something routine.

As ever, quick, friendly service, job done nicely, car had a quick valet and looks excellent, and saved me £150 on BMW's quote, plus Grosvenor don't try to upsell you a fuel filter which isn't part of the interim service (tut tut, BMW).

Recommended. These guys do good work.

I recently had my BMW 4 series in at Grosvenor for a routine service & MOT. My husband had been recommended to Grosvenor by a few colleagues whom also had good experiences. I dropped my car in at 9am & received a complimentary courtesy car for the day. A couple hours later I received a video from the technician showing me my car, followed by a call from Barry to discuss the contents & to ensure I understood it. When I collected the car later that day, it was even washed & hoovered! I am so happy to have finally found an honest garage, who genuinely care about their customers. I will be returning next year.

Not a great experience and will not use Groverner again. When their receptionist says "Come back when you have the money" says it all! The services they provided were not good either. Some of the work has been redone elsewhere.

As this member of staff was present when I was dealing with another member of the team, I have nothing else to add.

After having the head unit in my mini restarting every 30 seconds, I discovered this company online - they posted a YouTube video that clearly explained the issue. Unfortunately, when I took my car in for an update, the problem couldn't be fixed and I was left feeling inconsolable and angry when my husband returned and discovered additional problems with the car. Since it was after office hours on Friday, I decided to email the company to express my frustrations. However, on Monday, I spoke with Barry who agreed to rectify the problems, apologised, and that was all I needed to hear - the problems would be sorted out and they were not going to try to wriggle out of culpability.

The car was taken in again and a used head unit was found and installed as previously agreed. When we picked up the car, we asked about the other issues that had suddenly materialised, and the response was that they hadn't connected something properly. While some may overlook this admission or indeed get upset, I personally appreciated the honesty and integrity of admitting it, especially in the business world where many may choose to conceal their errors. Now, I don't have to worry about anything else, and so far, everything is working fine again. I hope it stays that way for the sake of my meager bank balance.

Overall, I highly recommend this company for their integrity, as demonstrated by Barry's willingness to admit to the mistake and for fixing the problems at a fraction of the cost by providing alternatives options to resolving the issue.
