Do not trust – Ghosting customers over payment issues
Warning to anyone dealing with Blue Rocket Books Ltd. They issued a payment transaction of $40.97 (Transaction ID: 46V01874RS8239817), but the funds were never successfully completed. Despite making numerous attempts to contact them via phone and email to fix this, they are completely unresponsive. Absolute lack of professional service and communication.

On 2/4/2025, I sent a book to Blue Rocket Books. My order number was #206294. I sent ISBN: 9781284195507 and I was supposed to be paid $41.99. On 2/10/2025, I received an email from Patrick at Blue Rocket Books stating that " [The] rejected book does not appear to be authentic." They then tell you you have THREE days to either send their Venmo account $6.95 to mail the book back to you or they will recycle or donate the books to a non-profit organization. The book I sent was one I had used for a public health course I took. I had originally purchased it from Amazon: Toronto Deal Books. The book was authentic. Furthermore, I was on a vacation and not checking my email in that time frame that he sent the email. Additionally, the email from Patrick was very unprofessional. Not only did he not spell order right (It was spelled oder), he also got my order number wrong, and used several different fonts in the same email. I am under the assumption that Blue Rocket Books likely has a non-profit on the side that they "donate" these books to and then they likely resell on Blue Rocket Books, making profit while exploiting people who have sent books to their company. This is an extremely shady business practice.

I trialed selling textbooks to two competing companies for buy back, to clear up space in my home, and provide reviews for students who need insight into what companies are scams and not. Sold one book, quoted $15. Read terms of conditions. Book was in good condition despite having slightly over 20% highlighting, which I would understand if they docked a few dollars for. They offered payout of $7. They state there is a processing fee of $1.95 for PayPal or Venmo pay out, but then added an additional $0.15 fee without notice or reason. $4.90 remained after fees. I also found downloading/printing the packing slip and shipping label to be a pain. It should have just been sent as a pdf, but had to go through extra steps to download and print. I don't recommend this company over the other company used. I sent two books in the same condition to the competition. That company paid the exact amount quoted without additional fees, and processed sooner than Blue Rocket. The only reason for two stars is the company didn't steal my books and did compensate, although they are less than transparent about fees and shady about quotes and pay outs.

Blue Rocket paid me what they quoted the book price to be and I rec'd the check within two weeks of mailing them the book. I also sold books to other buyers and was seriously jerked around about condition and the amount that they said they would pay and what they actually paid. I won't sell to those buyers again, but Blue Rocket gets a high five!

Amazing company. Highly recommend. They process books very quickly and give fair assessments of condition and price according. One of my go to buy back companies.

I will NEVER use this company again!!!! I've been in the textbook business for over 20 years and have never seen such bad customer service. They said the books that I sold them were reprinted so they couldn't purchase them. I've sold over 50 copies of this book to other buyers so I know that they are original copies. Either way I simply asked for my books to be returned. I paid for the shipping and they returned them. ALL have cuts on them from the razor they used to open the package. Over $200 dollars worth of books and that's simply on the "quick/flip" side. Over $500 if I let them sit on the shelf and sell over the next few months.
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

DO NOT USE: I sent in 2 books and was quoted a $37 payment. The vendor replied and said the books are not in good condition and stated that if I sent them $6.95 they would send the books back to me. I sent them $6.95 and the vendor decided to keep one of the books to resell WITHOUT MY CONSENT and after taking my $6.95. WEBSITE IS A SCAM!!! Note to Vendor: If you decide to give me my second book back, I'll take down this review.

Sent out my book and never got paid. No communication from them whatsoever. Book was sent out July 20 and they received it July 25th.

Blue Rocket Books offers high buyback prices and is very reliable. I have been using them for over 4 years.

Claim was for 15.80 and quote was good for 7 days. It has not yet been accepted by the company BUT is at the company waiting for it to be scanned, according to my tracking, it has been there for 6 days now and I mailed it off on 4/11/23. Now the quote went down to 9.80. Will not do this again. Customer service is not good. Could've went with someone else but I did not.

claimed my book was damaged, but it was not; wanted me to pay to get it back - it was in just as good of shape as when I bought it (used, but very good), so my guess is they sold it anyway without paying me

Blue Rocket Books is one of the best book resellers out there. They give you a fair value for the resale of book. I sold 6 books and make $100 dollars. They have a very user friendly website. It is easy to resell the books on the website. Blue Rocket Books will pay for the shipment of the books and the turn around time for payment of books was fairly fast. I received my check in the mail within 5 days of shipping the books. This company is reliable and organized.
