So pleased to see Jim is back
So pleased to see Jim is back. Reuben’s in Newcastle under Lyme was my absolute favourite coffee shop years ago and there’s never been anywhere else to match it until now. Bluebird is warm, friendly with a simple menu but with Jim’s usual unique twist. And the coffee is definitely the best on the area. Highly recommend.

Eat here if you're visiting Calshot
Cute place. We'd just parked up and fancied something to eat before walking down the beach to the castle end of the spit. There was a sign for this cafe so thought we'd try it out. It's a little gem, with indoor and outdoor seating, both of which offer sea views. Friendly welcome and careful taking of our orders of 2 toasties and a slice of cake. They were perfection (so easy to get simple things wrong, but they got it very right!). We'll definitely stop here next time we visit.

Just bought take away sandwiches
Just bought take away sandwiches, Friday, what a disappointment, the previous owners provided excellent food. These owners charged top dollar, cheap bread , not much filling,
Wouldn’t recommend anyone to stop here.

Looks like the chef is too busy making an artistic statement to actually cook a good meal
Probably good for tapas as that way you have less to eat
