Home consultation was ok

Home consultation was ok. The consultant was pleasant and confirmed measurements.. Installation was good but one of the chains was silver. They should have all been white. I called the consultant last week but it has not been replaced yet.

I would like to be honest because you…

I would like to be honest because you are asking. I won't buy a blind from Blinds To Go again. I purchased a blind and was told that it would take approx. a month to come in. The expectation was set correctly and it arrived in the exact time frame. No complaints up to this point.
When I came in to pick up the blind and pay the balance I was told I had to call the store to book installation because that was the process. I called the next day and for the next week and a half, left two messages with no call back.
I came in to the store after work at that point and they tried reaching someone to book an appointment. After waiting half hour with no answer the girl said she left a message with the installer and sent them an email and someone would call me after 24 hours to book an appointment. That was a Tuesday night. I heard nothing until I called the store on December 11th and spoke to Jenn. Please note this is the only person who expressed any empathy with problem and took ownership of the problem. My compliments to Jenn. I did call her to thank her afterwards. She told me to wait on the line and if we got cut off she'd call me back. She reached someone that I could book an appointment with. My appointment is not until this Friday the 18th but thanks to Jenn at least I got one booked.
Saturday the 12th someone finally called to book that appointment after all. No one knew that I had already booked one. It's like nobody communicates with each other. Aside from Jenn the service was awful. My apologies but I won't be buying with you again. I doubt this review will be acknowledged or shared with anyone either.

I think the blinds we ordered are…

I think the blinds we ordered are pricey. They took weeks to get here as they are built in the US. Also, I had difficulty redeeming online subscriber discount so just gave up. I wish we had a cheaper and more timely manufacturer locally in Ontario. Other than that, the product is of good quality and a breeze to install.

Can't say enough good things about this…

Can't say enough good things about this company. Let's start with the fact that they are Canadian company and the blinds are made here in Canada. That above all is reason enough to shop there. Price is very reasonable and the quality is exceptional. My blinds took about 6 weeks and they kept me informed the whole time. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be back.

Feedback Regarding Order Number 017914 and 017906

Had ordered two roller shade blackout blinds. Both blinds were defective and had to be returned. Was grateful that I did not have to wait too long for the replacement blinds but one of the repaired blinds still had a tiny flaw, which I repaired myself because I did not want to have to go through another return, and subsequently did not roll up and down as well as before. Would not purchase from them again.

The blinds were made as we wanted and…

The blinds were made as we wanted and look very nice at the window . The Sales Staff were very informative and helpful . My only adverse idea was I think they should have told us what an installation would cost because I probably would have gone for it .

VERY poor customer service

There is a large gap in the communication of your employees. I had a defective blind installed. It is to be remade and reinstalled. I got a phone call to “ pick up my repair blind”
Really?? I am not picking it up and if I was where am I to pick it up? No location no phone number NOTHING. Your customer service is very poor. I will not be a return customer nor will I be recommending you. Will you read this?? If you did call me back and hear my experience.

Very bad bad experience

Very bad bad experience first the shutters where faulty since March until now nothing rectified kept making appointments to come and reinstall new ones and they kept cancelling to accommodate new customers in meantime my neighbors can see through my house. Paper temporary blinds they keep falling off. Very very very disappointed considering I paid a lot lot money for the whole two level house. I will never ever recommend anybody to them ever again.

Good value!

I went into the store to choose window coverings (motorized blinds and curtain rods). They were CoVid compliant in store. Their staff were smart, knowledgeable and helpful. The installation guy was great. He was on time, efficient and did a great job in a difficult install. The charger for the motorized blinds was damaged, and the store replaced at no charge.

The only negative was that it took a while to receive the blinds and curtain rods to arrive. But that is to be expected during CoVid times.

In short, the products were reasonably priced and good quality. I would buy from them again.

1) One blind was unacceptable

1) One blind was unacceptable. it was not manufactured well. Had to be redone.
2) Staff at the store did not communicate that the account had to be paid in full prior to booking a time for installation. I can understand paying the account in full prior to the product leaving the store. I cannot however, understand why you would have to pay for the account in full prior to "booking a time" for installation. From a consumer point of view, what would happen to that payment should you as a company go bankrupt over night and not only is our 50% deposit gone, so is the balance and we have no recourse. What if the installer never showed up? Booking a time should not mean paying the account in full. You took 50% upon order, I think it is only fair the customer holds back 50% until the product is installed to our satisfaction. I also do not want to accept the terms and conditions for you to create a Trustpilot accouNt for us... I do not need it. Why ask us to post a review and then force us to allow you to create an account we don't want. Why railroad your customer into this? DO NOT CREATE A TRUSTPILOT ACCOUNT FOR US! I DO NOT ACCEPT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY POLICY... I HOWEVER MUST CLICK THAT i DO ACCEPT IT IN ORDER FOR MY POST TO BE REVIEWED... VERY UNFAIR.

We require a 50% deposit on the order at the time of purchase and then once the blinds are in and the installer comes to pick them up and the date is set - THEN the order is to be paid in full so he can take them out of the store. Excellent Customer Service

We have to say, this was not the smoothest experience that we would have had over the years (3 homes) with Blinds to Go. I would assume that this is due to the high volume of orders during COVID-19 and people are doing renovations. I am sure the increase in business has left the company with limited quality control measures in place. There were a number of issues with one of our orders. With that said, resolution was quick and there was no issues with customer service. The manager and staff were very quick to resolve. In my opinion, its all about how things are resolved.

Blinds to Go Purchase

Our experience in store with Blinds To Go representative was great.
Great explanation of all questions asked.
Very helpful with our selection.

The installation, wasn't the same experience. The installer Adam was late everytime he was scheduled.
Not impressed by him!

This was a great company to deal with for the whole process.

This was a great company to deal with. Prices were competitive. Designer was very knowledgeable and helped me make good decisions on window coverings and the best options for the styles of each window. The Installer was also very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. We are very happy with our choices. The window coverings look great. We would highly recommend Blinds to Go, and will be in touch when we decide to cover the other windows in our house.
