Amazing Amazing Amazing
I can’t praise this company enough easy to arrange quick delivery and turn around. My global knives were due a major overhaul since leaving professional kitchens the have come back super sharp possibly sharper than when new re profiled and polished up very nicely indeed. Would I recommend 100% I would I promise you will not be disappointed

Easy process to despatch and return…
Easy process to despatch and return knives in safe secure packaging. Excellent skilled service with great results these guys really understand their work . My knives are my workhorse and used every day I send them in a sorry state and they return in superb condition always with a note if extra taken off due to damage or heavy wear I never dispute this as I know my knives take a beating so I trust their judgement

Great service; superbly sharpened knives returned
Really great service. 7 knives despatched and 7 knives back in a short space of time, razor sharp. Had to warn the rest of the fmaily how sharp they were! Thoroughly recommend the service and will def be using them again in the future

Cutting edge service
I sharpen my knives fairly frequently but I felt that they could be sharper.
I sent 7 of my Global knives to B&B because they had been recommended by a fellow Global user.
The result has astonished me. I don’t recall their having ever been so sharp. Amazing!
The packaging and logistics system was excellent and I will send my other knives to them, for certain

Clueless botchers
Transport went absolutely fine, but I made the stupid mistake of sending seven knives to this company, which they promptly ruined, putting a hollow grind on everything from a 2nd WW sheath knife to a Kasumi kitchen knife. Considering I had looked after a couple for 20 years, and one had been recently professionally reshaped I was devastated. On my complaint, I was pointed towards the T&Cs and refused any compensation. If you send anything to this company, which I would not recommend, make sure you opt out of a wider bevel regrind, and don't expect any grinding to be straight.

The initial issue 7 months ago when service was completed was regarding the size of bevels administered to the knives.
We pointed the customer towards the pages on our website that outlined how and why we sharpen knives, the processes involved but also the options available to customers.
Unfortunately the customer did not read any of the content on our website prior to purchase and did not contact us to discuss their specific requirements and so standard advertised procedure was followed as we are bound by our T&C's to do so.
This customers knives were beautifully sharpened. So much so that we used 'before and after ' images in content on our socials and website to illustrate the levels of reconditioning possible. The results were outstanding.
Fortunately we keep on record all images of orders.

Your knives were polished, rust removed and their blades were thinned down using our wider bevel service due to the excessive thickness of the blade behind the cutting edge as outlined below and advertised on our website across the 'FAQ' ,'How it Works', 'Knife repair' and '360° care plan' pages.
Customers can opt out of this service by leaving a comment at checkout or by reaching out to us before shipping their knives to discuss how they'd like their knives serviced if they have specific requirements.

Wider bevels and bushcraft hunting knives
We receive many hunting and bushcraft knives. These style of knives are given hollow grinds as standard in order to thin down the blade behind the cutting edge.

Unfortunately there were no comments left at Checkout attached to your order nor did you contact us prior to ordering to discuss your service and so our advertised procedure was followed.
In the product description of the '7 knife package' you purchased it asks customers to read the 'How it works' page to familiarise oneself with our seriVce but also to highlight the options available to customers.
We hope this info helps clarify that your knives have been serviced to our advertised T&C's and best possible outcomes have been achieved for the benefit of your knives, their condition going forward and their longevity of sharpness.

Like new again
My knives - 2 Globals, 2 Zwillingen and A.N. Other - came back like new; not only sharpened but polished, reshaped, and - in the case of the Global - with the black hot-knives stain removed (thanks, teenage sons!). Turnaround could have been quicker (10 days) but the end result precludes any real criticism - awesomely sharp, restored like new, and therefore great value. Highly recommended.

Extremely quick and efficient service. I had one knife that had a big chunk out of the tip - I couldn’t even tell which one it was when it was returned. Well worth the money to give my knives another life!

Fantastic company to deal with I had a chip at the heal of my knife and contacted the company to discuss the best way to repair they did a fantastic job so I didn’t lose to much of the blade.

Good, lasting sharp knives
I have used other mail order sharpening services, but my knives became blunt very quickly after their return and I was disappointed.
Not so with Blade & Butler, my knives were sent off and returned in the special secure packaging and were sharp and polished. A little marked on the blades, but they have remained sharp for much longer. I am very pleased with the service, whilst is not cheap, offers good value for money. I will use the service again.
