This company is scamming people out of monthly subscription.
They lead you in then sign uou up to a monthly subscription.
They're quite clever because uou don't realise till money comes out of your account.
I was on the phone fir 25 minutes trying to get my £38+ subscription back.
This company are scamming you.
Do not use
I never got my £38 + back but cancelled my subscription.
The owner will be sat counting his monies!
Scammers !

So when this was viable and affordable I really enjoyed getting the product from around the world. However, you cannot opt out of the “free snacks” and “free magazine” let’s be honest it’s all charged. Now, I work throughout the week, have a busy life and am not the best at getting to something that’s at the back of my mind as I kept having to place the orders on “hold” you need to call with no weekend option, also when you tell the person you get through to after 20 minutes calling as soon as the line is open, they push and push and push to keep you, talk about your discount you will loose, ask you to down grade to lower packages. Absolute joke when you say you cannot afford it!!!!!!! Disgusting and for that I will never use you again because you try to trap people in a loop and even though financial struggles are the reason for cancelling it doesn’t matter. Not allowing to cancel online either? Then 3 days later I am working and get a missed call and like I won’t to talk to you or have any services I have cancelled. It takes a lot to annoy me this much but looking at the other reviews you seem to have a back for upsetting your customers.

No way of cancelling online, despite legislation mandating that online sign-ups must be capable of being cancelled online.

Called to cancel - kept on hold for 15mins and gave up. Tried the general Customer Services number and was answered immediately, but they refused to process my cancellation request. Funny how they can pick up immediately for anyone who doesn't want to cancel...

Called again, waited 20mins, and was given the hard sell trying to convince me not to cancel. Managed to get it done in the end.

Poor quality wines at far too high a price. Wine52 is a scam.

It is a SCAM

It is a SCAM , they tell you to pay 5£ for a free 8 cans of beers and than you realised without any consent that they have subscribed you to a 29.95 a month subscription . They wont even send you the beer in hope that you wont.notice the money going out every month. You don't subscribe but it is also imposible.to unsibscribe , they tool all the measures to mak it as hard as possible. Bunch of Scamer .
Also the beer and the wine is shit and overpriced

COMPANY MUST SHUT DOWN

COMPANY MUST SHUT DOWN. Even after you cancel, they harrass you for months. I cancelled in July, its now Februady and they havw started calling mw again 1-3 times a day. Asked someone to remove my phone from system, they told me they needed my personal details for that... then they set me up a new account! Wow. When I confronted them, they hung up on me. Disgusting.

Unexpected enjoyment..ordered my wine…

Unexpected enjoyment..ordered my wine on a discounted crimbo offer when purchasing something else ...forgot I'd got them in the conservatory! Opened one of the bottles halfway through Jan and loved it..read the free Glug magazine that included recommended recipes and background info about the wines I'd recieved in my pack...opened the nibbles that were included....then discovered I'd got some posh tomatoes in my fridge (that I was reading about in the magazine for how sweet and delicious they were) so got those out and some mozzarella cheese and had an absolute fuddle, quaffing the wine and nibbling on the basic but delightful treats..this was all at 1am in the morning then shared the experience or what was left of it with my son when he came into the house and he loved it all too! It was just a lovely hour of relaxation and time out with lovely wine and lovely flavors/nibbles to compliment and complete the experience, loved reading the Glug magazine and imagining how the other half live on their vineyards in the sunshine lol! Ohhh if only!! But I had a moment or two with my heating on and feet up and it was bliss haha! Would highly recommend Wine52 especially the intro offers..why wouldn't you?.. it's a great deal! I feel the financial pinch like the majority of us so wanted to cancel my subscriptions (I'd done a beer and a wine intro offer) ..missed the date so ended up with another delivery on both but when I did call to cancel it was an easy chat with a lovely guy and no pressure just a kind extension offer (can't blame them for that)! ..beer subscription is now canceled as won't use and don't need it..wine I've stayed with for a bit longer ....cos u know what I'm enjoying it and I'm soooo worth it lol...it's not hard to cancel just have to give them a call...agree it would be easier to do online and obviously they don't want to make it so easy but for now I'm still in and no regrets..I'm just halfway through tasting the second delivery and treats and still enjoying it! I haven't read the other magazines yet but look forward to doing so and if I end up canceling my subscription I'm sure I will be back again at some point because I really can't complain it's been a pleasure thankyou (keep it polite and easy(ish) to cancel and im sure you will keep customers and people coming back...this has been a 100% genuine, fair and honest review from an honest (not particularly difficult to please customer), hope this helps decision making in purchasing, nothing concerning just make a note of the monthly dates to cancel subscription and be aware have to call to do it but thats all xx

Had an introductory offer...

Had an introductory offer and was automatically enrolled into a subscription. Unable to cancel via website, asking to call. First time ever I had been asked to call to cancel subscription. DO NOT USE THE INTRO OFFER - you are going to lose time and patience trying to deal with them

Similar to other customers- too hard to cancel.

Similar to other customers. I didn't know I was being signed up to a subscription. It's then so so hard to cancel a subscription. I have been 'duped' numerous times. I honestly feel so utterly frustrated and annoyed with myself for being swayed each time I have called. Probably I wouldn't have minded if the wine was ok- but that also isn't - some of the worst wines we have tasted for a while. I was persuaded to stick around to spend my £18 points balance- that's also virtually impossible. I would definitely avoid this company- there are far nicer wines and better customer services out there.

Avoid at All Costs – Unprofessional & Misleading

I am shocked this company is still allowed to trade. I submitted multiple cancellation requests well before the cutoff, all of which were ignored. When I explained an email mismatch, I was reassured by customer service that it would be resolved — yet 10 days later, I was charged again.
Every reply seems to come from the same agent (“Mia”), who shows no understanding of customer rights or respect for customers. The process feels deliberately obstructive, and all they seem interested in is collecting your bank details.
On top of this, the product quality is poor. I cannot recommend this company and would strongly advise caution.

I was offered by Deliveroo a free box of Beer52 beer as a gift without realising I was signing up for a subscription. Similar issues in cancelling, I am not sure how but must have been in the give the name of who the gift is for - where I gave my husband’s name so when I did get through to someone they insisted on speaking with my husband even though the only information they have on him is his first name and email, card details, home address etc all relate to me. Feeling stupid that I was tricked into this but find it outrageously underhand

Outdated stupid process of having to call with their refund policy a shambles.

Do not use them if you want to get tied in and not be able them and cancel a subscription after you suspend your account online for no deliveries

They send out the wrong items a lot

They send out the wrong items a lot.
They take months to reply to emails. They say it's due to the Christmas period, but that's a lie. I sent an email in October and still haven't got a reply.
You can't cancel unless you ring up and spend half an hour with someone pressuring you not to cancel.
The snacks they include in the subscription are always bags of dust.

Would give no stars if possible - in common with other one star reviewers - whole business model smacks of sharp practice / grifting... can easily achieve everything online EXCEPT cancelling your subscription... which seems to sail very close to breaking consumer law. Really poor - and disheartening - customer service.

I hate these lunatics as much as it is…

I hate these lunatics as much as it is physically possible to hate someone. They will send this crap to your house no matter how many times you phone them to cancel, and then harass you with emails and messages for the rest of time. It gets to a point where it is genuinely quite distressing.

I take responsibility for having been dopey enough to buy some beers that were attached to a totally different product. Dumb I didn’t check the small print before getting a £29,95 invoice a month later. But where this company stinks is its efforts to avoid cancelling subscription. You go through endless pages on their site saying cancel to be met with you have to call. I emailed them saying cancel and I’m getting inundated with calls I don’t want and still not cancelled. Since they have my cancellation in writing if they try to take more I will simply take them to the small claims court . The registration fee for doing so will be worth every penny to put them through the hoop. A shower !

DMCCA Breach

Wine52,

Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCCA) I should be able to cancel online with ease. You are not making this possible due to the mandating a phone call to cancel. You are in breach of consumer rights.

I am absolutely aghast at this. I have raised a dispute with my credit card company. I have read your Trustpilot reviews and I have no faith in your customer support approach based on what I have read.

I deserve a refund, and so do all the other victims of your shady practices. Consider this a warning before it gets escalated to legal action.

Rude staff

Rude staff, they do not accept your subscription cancellation ànd take another £38 for three bottles of cheap screw top red wine ànd even tho they haven’t even processed or dispatch the order (even though you have cancelled your subscription) they will not cancel the dispatch ànd told me not to bother returning as they don’t accept returns either. Do not order your better off going à supermarket than paying £12 à bottle for 12% screw top red wine
