We ordered a £122 build yourself bee hive. The materials are fine. What I'm bothered by is the assembly process and things not included as part of the final product. There were two manuals missing for the brude box and super box(main part of build). You had to find a video demonstating it yourself. The manuals that were included was a one page each kind, they were not thorough enough for me I had to rely on a video.

We're no stranger to diy, can build ikea furniture in no time, but damn this took sooo long even with two of us figuring it out. We were at it for at least 8 hours, no joke. They've chosen to use nails which is just a nightmare. You need a small nail hammer which I doubt most people own. Why screws weren't used instead I have no idea. If you have neighbours forget it cause you'll be bashing for hours. So much more labour, so fiddly, so noisy. If you don't support one side after nailing the other side, the nails will come out that you've already secured. Wouldn't happen with screws.

They do have a £50 extra comes assembled option and if youre sure about ordering I'd def pick that option if you value your time.

The final product doesn't have any latch clamps included or anything similar to support the boxes meaning they're only held together by gravity. Considering trees have been coming down from recent winds good luck bees cause these boxes won't stay together. So for 122 you now need to buy extra products to make it bee friendly. Or have fatalities when the boxes inevitably fall off eachother since its an outdoor product.

Also, we're going to build a seperate stand because what they've given sits so low to the floor that research is suggesting mites and rot will take place. Won't take much to make but it's an added thing to consider if you're under the impression you're buying a full product.

I don't normally give small businesses bad reviews even if the products not great because I do understand they have additional pressures. However, the product does still need to be a good offering and being a small business doesn't exempt you from that. Reading the responses to some of these reviews they seem quite edgy to me, you be the judge, but overall doesn't feel like a great company to be purchasing from.

Sadly I wouldn't recommend and wouldn't have paid for this product if I'd have known what it would entail.

I feel the company would benefit from making assembly process easier and including adequate instructions. Perhaps responding to reviews in a more professional less offended manner too (on google reviews, I haven't checked here) but that's just an opinion.

I have amended my previous 5 star rating as I'm only assembling the supers and brood boxes now - they are low quality with loads of knots and also one wall of the brood box is warped :(
I was taken in by the price which was actually very good.

A very easy to follow site. Prices the best around. I haven't had any problems with this company. Always straightforward and timely.

Looking for a last minute queen before winter and ordered here. Bees arrived happy and healthy and are now thriving. Will use again if the need arrises

I've waited over 4 weeks for my order.....they have taken payment. Inbox flooded with sales junk. Beginning to wonder if this is a scam?

I have been purchasing hives, tools and queen bees for years from this company. The prices are competitive, no delivery issues and a wide selection of products.

We have used Bee equipment many times and always had friendly excellent service. We would not hesitate to use Bee equipment for all our Beekeeping supplies. Highly recommended.

Kept us well informed with delivery times and extra information regarding introduction of July and August Queens into new hives, Both Queens doing well.

Very poor delivery speed. Seem more focused on marketing than supplying. Chased my order twice over the last two weeks and told so busy. I've received 8 marketing emails whilst waiting for my order. Very frustrating.

My two stars is not for product as I have received it yet. If I had known it would take so long I wouldn’t have ordered it.

Not sure if I am being unfair but these days and other bee companies it’s next day service
