We booked a 5 day cycling tour with bedandbikenorthernireland and had a most enjoyable experience.
Well organised, personalised service and great accommodation,
Route took us through some scenic areas and Hugo was always on hand to ensure all went smoothly.
We were booked into some great restaurants and enjoyed many very tasty meals.

We had a simply wonderful experience with Bed and Bike Northern Ireland.

Hugo could not have done any more to make our biking experience and adventure in Northern Ireland any more enjoyable.

Our brief to Hugo was a little bit bespoke …… 2 days cycling to Moira and then onto Dungannon- 3 days doing our own thing, then another two days of cycling from Belfast.

Along the way Hugo organised things seamlessly, collecting and moving our luggage and checking and sorting out arrangements, always making recommendations and suggestions.

I can absolutely recommend Hugo’s company, Bed and Bike Northern Ireland. Request or ask him anything and it will be sorted out in the most easy manner. Not only did we benefit from his knowledge and organisational skills but we had the benefit of his local knowledge and appreciation of Ireland’s history.

Russell and I will definitely be coming back to Northern Ireland and without any hesitation whatsoever, we will be asking Hugo to organise another great cycling adventure around this beautiful country.

Amazing responsiveness! I had arranged my own cycling trip to Northern Island, bringing my bike with me from London, but two days before I travelled my bike was still awaiting a part. I contacted Bedandbikenorthernireland and within an hour they had sourced a bike for me. Fortunately, my own bike was repaired in the nick of time, so I didn’t need a hired bike but I was hugely impressed. It’s not easy getting a bike to Northen Island, so would definitely use for another trip.

Hugo/Bed & Bike Northern Ireland planned a beautiful route with comfortable lodging, outstanding dinners and of course Hugo was an amazing guide & host.

In spite of some dodgy weather, my husband and I (both in our 70's) had a very enjoyable 5 days cycling around the beautiful Strangford Louch. Hugo ensured we took the best routes to suit our individual needs and it was comforting to know we could call on him at any time if we got into any difficulties. Happily we didn't need to.

We have a fabulous week cycling around Strangford Lough. The countryside and scenery was stunning, the weather amazing and the help from Hugo outstanding. In 25 years of cycling with our group this holiday was in the top 3!!

From the start after finding the Bed and Bike Northern Ireland website we had great communication with Hugo. He answered all our enquiries quickly and helpfully, and throughout the five day trip he maintained attentive contact. The e-bikes were excellent, hotels well chosen and the meals good. We were lucky to have exceptional good weather with sunshine and no rain! We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the NI countryside first time and were especially impressed by the quiet minor roads Hugo’s planned route took us on. The Comber Greenway between Comber and Belfast was an unexpected pleasant surprise. We would unhesitatingly recommend anyone to book with Hugo’s Bed and Bike Northern Ireland trip. M&W

My wife and I have done several bike trips with larger international organisations. We found BBNI when searching the web for something on Ireland’s east side for the week prior to a trip we had already planned in NI. Most other tours seemed to be on the west coast! Hugo was a very gracious, flexible and diligent concierge. Our itinerary was a perfect self-guided, 2-person, 5-day, low-key trip. Relaxing, educational, tasty, comfortable, worry-free, and way more affordable than the bigger organisations. Thoroughly recommended.

Hugo was very easy to work with and efficient. He met us promptly at our hotel in Belfast then gave us a ride to C.S.Lewis Park where we got our bikes (so no riding in busy Belfast). The bikes in good working condition and we had no mechanical problems. We began on a greenway to Comber. Our first day of four was 37 miles to Down Patrick which was a little much considering we had just arrived the day before. The route was easy to find and very pretty. All the B&Bs we stayed in were lovely and very unique from each other. The pub food at Denvir’s was excellent. Hugo met us each morning to review the route for us and collect luggage before heading out. Our weather , thankfully, was good. Only slight bit of rain one day with sun and some wind on others. Coastal ride fantastic. Very unique way to see N. Ireland and I would highly recommend.

Many thanks to Hugo for that great cycling experience! Rights from the beginning, communication was smooth and trustful. In meeting him, we got bikes in very good condition, were led out of Belfast (that made it quite relaxed ... ;-) ) and enjoyed 2 1/2 days around Strangford Lough. We did a multi day trip along the NI coast from Derry to Belfast and couldn't have done it without Hugo's support and service. It was thanks to him all went as smooth as it could: Picking us up in the Mourne Mountains, shuttling us to Derry, handing over the rental bikes + bags (all in good condition) , luggage transfer to our B&Bs, providing directions and valuable tipps for every corner of our journey in a punctual and most reliable way.
Must add that Hugo is very easy to get along with and it was always pleasant meeting up with him during the trip. Being our first time in NI we felt in best hands with Hugo, also and especially thanks to his impeccible service it was an amazing experience. You can tell he loves what he does!

Superb bike rental for the weekend to tour round Strangford Lough. Hugo was excellent - from collecting us at the start, offering valuable insight on the route and great pubs to visit, and collecting the bikes when we finished in Belfast! Excellent service and a great guy! Would definitely use again 👍

The service provided by Hugo is end-to-end exactly what you’ll be looking for. From being met at the ferry, luggage transfers, top tips and local experience from someone who has actually ridden most of the roads, hotel/b&b and restaurant bookings. Found Hugo to be thoroughly genuine, pleasant, easy to get on with and punctual. Knowing we’re going to be looked after by a professional service, we’ll be back to cycle through S. Ireland I am sure.

Just completed a 10 day tour of NI organised by Hugo. In short, brilliant and comes highly recommended. We brought our own bikes but Hugo met us every morning for a briefing giving us a detailed summary of the area with top tips and then transferred our luggage to the next stop. He even rearranged hotel bookings because of an unplanned ferry strike at Portaferry and collected us to transport us and the bikes round to Strangford - really above and beyond. On another evening he collected us from the hotel to take us to one of his favourite restaurants because it was a bit far to take a taxi! Hugo is a great tour guide; flexible, knowledgeable and good fun. We would also highly recommend the trip around Strangford Lough which boasts stunning countryside and a warm welcome wherever we stayed. We are off to S Ireland on our own tour now and wish there was a Hugo there too! Thanks so much for a wonderful trip. Tim and Caroline

This weekend I hired a bike from Hugo to enable me to continue my training whilst visiting Belfast from London. The bike was in excellent condition and Hugo's door-to-door drop off and collection service was much appreciated. Highly recommend.

Hugo is great.
We did the 5 day self guided tour from Belfast. The accommodations were great: clean, welcoming, friendly, and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. The bikes were good quality. The scenery was great and some excellent stops. Hugo met us each morning to tell us about our upcoming ride and any points of interest. You do have to do some wayfinding but that is part of the fun. The only issue is that some of the signs are missing or overgrown. This is not in Hugo's control.
I would definitely recommend the adventure.

We highly recommend this bike tour. Hotels were great and food fabulous! The bikes were great and our luggage moved every morning after our meeting with Hugo giving us information for that day.
Hugo gave us suggestions of points of interest each day and also booked hotels for us on our arrival in Belfast!
We normally have bike routes on gps that was the only thing that we missed on this tour - following the map.
Hugo was very accommodating and we hope to go on one of his tours again in the future .

We just had a weekend organised by Hugo cycling around County Down. Amazing guy; knows the roads like the back of his hand and so we never got lost. Plus he knows the best places to stop off for lunch and where to stay/eat and drink in the evenings.

Highly recommend.
