Total scam
Total scam. How are these people still operating? Like everyone else, I scanned a QR code for something unrelated and ended up with £1 being taken from my credit card. Got it refunded and also reported it to my credit card company and Action Fraud.
Scam
Scam! My Dad had the same issue that everyone else is having the first £1 was on the 7th and then the £39.99 happened on the 11th no idea how they got his details but we're sorting it out

THESE ARE SCAMMERS !! REPORT TO YOUR BANK IMMEDIATELY !!!
This is a scam
This is a scam! Just spent 30 mins plus on phone with my bank sorting out £39.99 charge. I had downloaded the app. It didn't work with the Smart TV. I didn't agree to any further purchase. In fact felt suspicious that I was asked for card details and I should have declined card details. Within 24 hours I deleted the app from my phone.
This is a scam
This is a scam. They took £1 to "verify" my identity for a prepaid SIM and have now taken £39.99. I have told the card company and they are investigating a possible fraud. In the meantime the card is cancelled and I have all the hassle that involves
This site is a scam
This site is a scam that takes payments from your bank without providing any kind of goods or service. BE WARNED, DON'T TOUCH IT.
Can someone please give me a contact…
Can someone please give me a contact number for BBooks space I keep going through to a different company?
This is a scam
This is a scam. This company took two payments from my credit card without my agreement. When I contacted them they told me I had agreed for a trial of 5 days at £1 and then monthly payments of £39.99. They said I was sent an email regarding this and hadnt responded, but I have no emails in any folder either spam or trash. I have sent several emails asking for proof of agreement but they respond by saying they will not take any further payments. Very good of them, when I didnt agree to them taking any payments in the first place. 😡
Total scammers
Charged me £1 then next day £39.99 from credit card. Will be disputing transaction with fraud investigation at my bank
This is a scam.
This is a scam.
Same as everyone else, these cowboys piggy back an online transaction and take £1.
I have spoken to my bank who will stop any further payments, but only from my account. I have asked them to take it further to help remove these parasites and avoid everyone hassle, but they don't seem bothered.
I have no doubt that they will use other identities to perpetuate this fraud, so just be very careful whenever you set up new payment instructions on any new product. Make sure you are paying the right company.
As many others have said, shame there isn't a zero star option.
Looks Like Fraud
I too have recenlty been charged £39.99 by this company following an earlier £1 charge. The £1 charge happened the day I visited a climbing centre and I'm pretty sure it started with my scanning a QR code there to get an electronic entry tag. The QR code took me to the wrong website, which the staff at the climbing centre didn't recognise. The £1 was charged to my bank account the same day. I've raised it with my bank and they are treating it as fraud, which means cancelling my debit card and issuing a new one.
Scam
Like everyone else that has posted, beware when signing up to websites!! This unscrupulous company piggy back on other legitimate companies and somehow get hold of your details!!!!
The bank will not help as I was told it is not fraud as the transaction went through my device… I am now opening a dispute case as it seems the only way of getting any money back!!!
This most definitely is a scam!!!!
I wish I could give a 0 star
I wish I could give a 0 star, they don't deserve 1 star.
I was downloading my child's nursery app and it popped up. I assumed that it was part of the activation process until I had £39.99 come out of my account.
They told me that I have agreed to it, therefore I have to pay it.
It was only when I said that I will be going to my bank and report it as fraud that they gave me the money back. Then made out that they were doing me a favour.
It's disgusting that they are allowed to continue doing this.
I have no idea how they sleep at night...oh wait, yes I do..... On a pile of money that they've conned out of people.
Shameful.
Stay away at all costs, disgusting company.
SCAM AVOID AT ALL COSTS
SCAM Avoid at all costs. A pop up hijacks your bank details. The first you know is when they request £39.99 a month. They've had £1.00 out of me. Bank froze my card but they've managed to get another £1.00 this month from a frozen card!! SCAMMERS
bbooks.space - scam service
Tried to use the service to transfer data from old phone to new phone for a £1 charge. Little did I know I would be signing up to £39.99 monthly subscription. Now have a dispute in place with my bank to try and recover the money. Avoid.
SCAM Scumbags
Like other user below, just noticed £39.99 pending on my account. I was looking on a car parts website and thought I was signing up to use that but was duped. I went back to the bebooks website and clicked cancel after I saw £1 debit. The promised email did not arrive.
SCAM SCAM SCAM
Can someone please tell me how to contact bbooks.space as they are scamming my bank account trying to take 39.99 twice and then 2.00 I have googled them but says site can't be reached 😢 can someone advise me please Many thanks
Wish there was zero star, scam ! Dishonest
Wish there was zero star! Scam!
Unknowingly signed up to this company whilst activating a gift card on line, pop up came up I assumed part of activation process. No emails or any info sent to me. I was unaware until a pending payment of £39.99 on my bank account. Bank now dealing with this company. Have emailed company and was told as I agreed to their terms and conditions and didn’t cancel within the 5 days of activation the payment stands! BIG SCAM! How could I cancel, I didn’t know about it! Why don’t this company e mail you when you've ‘signed up’!!!!
Update, have now been refunded £39.99 from company (they stated, as a gesture of goodwill!!!! Only after saying my bank was involved in this ) be persistent. Such a scam!
