We used BBH Legal Services for our remortgage, transfer of equity and new wills. What a pleasure it was to deal them. I am used to solicitors who are
too busy to return calls and answer emails and by contrast BBH, even though they are
always busy, seem able to plan and manage their work and communicate clearly such that
their clients always know what’s going on and any queries are dealt with promptly and
effectively. We had tight deadlines to meet which clashed with the Christmas and New
Year break, but everything fell into place perfectly. I would highly recommend both the
Conveyancing Team and the Wills and Probate Team.

I dislike the fact that I had to keep sending emails to get progress reports.

Generally speaking we had a relatively smooth passage whilst going through the process. It was not without a few frustrations to be honest, hence the 4 stars , we got their in the end 👍

Lesley & Lewis pulled all the plugs out to enable us to complete before Christmas. They went over and beyond and I got a new home for Christmas! Thank you so very much.

As a first-time buyer, I did a fair bit of shopping around to find a solicitor that offered good value for money. I was told about BBH through my union at work and informed that I would receive a discount, which sounded perfect.

I contacted them for a quote, reviewed it, and was very happy with the price. However, a few of my friends commented that it sounded too good to be true.

The process began with a phone call from a gentleman at BBH who took my details and some of my fiancée’s details. I was told that a confirmation email would be sent summarising our conversation so that I could accept the quote.

I later received a concerned phone call from my estate agent asking why there had been no confirmation of my chosen solicitor. My fiancée checked her email and found an email she had been CC’d into which was also addressed to me. However, I never received it because BBH had misspelled my email address in two different places and addressed me by my middle name in the email heading.

I then phoned BBH and spoke to a very helpful lady who apologised and corrected the details. During this call, I discovered that the gentleman I originally spoke to had not taken my fiancée’s details properly, apart from her email address.

By this point, it was too late and we had to choose another solicitor very quickly, as we were close to losing the house. I am still having to reassure the seller’s solicitors that we remain interested in the property.

I am unsure whether the person I initially spoke to was inexperienced or whether something else went wrong, but I did not appreciate the experience I had with BBH and would not want anyone else to find themselves in the same situation.

Everything about my most recent experience with BBH Legal Services was exemplary.

Rebecca Harrison and the rest of the team dealt with my remortgage efficiently, promptly and professionally.

I wouldn’t hesitate to give them my full recommendation.

Helen Tasker was helpful throughout the process. Always took our phone calls and responded to emails swiftly.

Kept us updated, especially when other people in the chain were messing around and changing dates last minute. Always remained positive was being solution focussed where she could.

She would email others in the chain and the estate agent and push for you and have your interest at heart.

They were times when Conveyancing Assistant would ask for things that I'd already provided or contact me for something I couldnt provide i.e. should have contacted Help 2 Buy, sometimes behind the curve.

But overall the service was great and will be using BBH Legal again when purchase our new property.

Once BBH agreed to carry out their role of executor’s and a case file created the process was very smooth. The person dealing with this provided regular updates and the matter was resolved very quickly. To my case handler 5 stars. Would have been a 5 star rating for BBH but for the initial delay processing my late wife’s life insurance claim.

Highly recommend.
Communication was excellent, advice was clear and concise.
Searches were done and paper work completed in a matter of a couple weeks.
Amendments were needed to my Mortgage offers due to rate changes and this was done swiftly with no fuss and didn't cause any delay to whole process
Most importantly the cost I was quoted didn't change at all, I paid exactly what I was quoted which was the cheapest I had found.
