My local fabric shop, and I couldn't be luckier to have Bawn on my doorstep. Driving forward an ethos of sustainability and ethical fashion. Selecting only the highest quality fabrics with a focus on their ecological impact. Bevan and those who sub for her are knowledgeable, patient, fun and passionate about what they do. Aside from gorgeous fabrics, you can get some beautiful wool, tools and patterns, as well as meet a friendly community at one of their workshops.

Bawn is one of the greatest local shops. I love their ethos, the options available, and particularly the customer service. Bevan, and all the staff that help out, care so much about what they do and how they can help us all be better sewers. With their support I have gotten back into sewing again and have a number of me-made clothes. I only wish I had more time (and space) to make more.

Excellent range of dressmaking fabric, notions and patterns along with excellent chat and a a calm warm vibe. Independent makers curated and deliciously covetable things. Should probably downgrade due to the threat to my bank balance but that’s a me problem not a Bawn problem. Honestly, just go. They’re ace.
