Bassic Training – bass guitar lessons and learning resources for beginners Bassic Training helps beginner and returning bass players learn properly, without the guesswork. Our resources teach one step at a time, through books, online lessons, webinars and a supportive learning community. We use simple, proven methods that work so the skill sticks. One example is The Fretboard Building 7 Step Blueprint, which takes you through the whole fretboard in a clear order, so you're not left to pick it up "eventually". It's run by Jeremy LaBrooy, a Melbourne bassist and teacher who has been teaching bass since 1992. A Victorian College of the Arts music graduate, Jeremy has played bass for shows including Les Misérables, Mamma Mia!, The Rocky Horror Show, Grease and Hairspray. He has taught in Melbourne private schools and worked as a Year 12 bass examiner for the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). Most beginners get stuck on the same things: finding notes past the first few frets, reading music, keeping time and practising well. Jeremy had the same trouble with the upper fretboard early on, and he learned it the slow way. Bassic Training exists so you don't have to. Our students range from teenagers to people in their 70s picking up the bass for the first time. There's no hype and no shortcuts that don't work, just good teaching you can use at home. If you've learned with us or used one of our resources, we'd really appreciate an honest review.Leggi di più
