I ordered a shirt for the holiday. After several requests via email for a shipping date, zero response, yet my credit card was billed right away for almost $200. I tried to cancel and requested a refund, that never happened..finally I told them to ship the shirt as no refund was issued. I was told the order would take 15-28 days. This was not a special order,but a size they offer. No mention of a timeframe,the web site indicated the items are in stock. Today is Jan 24th,no further updates for shipping or tracking information. .as promised by them. I am filing a fraud charge with my bank..wish I had read the reviews before placing the order..lesson learned. Shame on you!

My barong turned out perfect. Nice material good price, excellent service. The key is to do great measurements for the order. It came on time and the after service was great too. I have worn it to 2 weddings so far.

Extremely Disappointed – Wrong Item & Zero Customer Service
I waited 11 days for my order only to receive a cheap, low-quality barong that looks nothing like the one advertised. The item they sent is completely different from what I originally purchased.
Tried calling their contact number—no answer at all. Their website claims they send delivery updates via email, but I didn’t receive any communication throughout the entire process.
This has been a total waste of time and money. I do NOT recommend Barong World. Save yourself the frustration and buy from a more reliable seller.
BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMAPNY
I bought a Barong to this company to be use supposedly for a wedding but never came on time even though I have to pay for rush shipping. Just like what other people are saying in their reviews, this company is the worst. Do not be deceive by the reviews in their website which are all 5 stars, check other sites and you will find out how difficult to deal with them when it comes to sending exchange. Its been a week but as of this date I have not receive the Barong that I exchanged even though I paid rush shipping of $59 plus re stocking fee. Very bad experience with communication as well.

I placed my order on October 25th and requested delivery no later than November 5th because I needed it for my wedding. For 16 days, the order stayed stuck on “processing,” and I received no updates whatsoever. I emailed them on November 5th and again on November 10th. Only after my second message did the status suddenly change to “ready for shipping.”
They explained the delay by mentioning the typhoons, but that does not change the fact that there were zero proactive updates for over two weeks. And the timing makes it clear: if I hadn’t written again, my order would probably still be “in process.” That is not acceptable.
After checking other reviews, I see that I’m not the only one experiencing repeated delays and unhelpful customer service. This seems to happen often.
They told me they will refund me, so I will see if they actually follow through.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend relying on them if you need your item within a specific timeframe.

Actual reply from customer service: "If you cancel your order, you will not get a refund". I'd give them zero star if I could.
Use caution, they are stuck in their own World
Use caution when ordering a Barong for an upcoming event. I ordered a Yellow Barong with 3 months lead time, rare updates other than a default generic Shop App tracking. The Barong arrived a week after the wedding it was meant for and the Barong looked more orange than yellow. The Customer Service is subpar and will not count for any inconvenience. Also paid for expedited shipping that, well was not needed since the Barong was late, oh and don't forget the import fee's. Barong World is stuck in some weird under belly.

I ordered a barong and a camisa from this website. It stated that shipping would take 3–7 days. I even paid $7.99 for USPS First Class shipping to ensure it would arrive within that timeframe. On Saturday, August 2, I called their hotline because the tracking status still showed “preparing to be shipped.” The customer service agent informed me that the order would only be shipped on Monday, August 4, because the items were out of stock.
Nobody informed me that my order was out of stock or that there would be a delay. If I hadn’t called, I wouldn’t have known. I paid $110, including shipping, only to find out that it won’t even ship on time, and now I have to wait another 4–7 days. What a joke this company is! Don’t order from them—ever.

Originally they sent me the wrong sized Barong out, not ideal. However Alex was extremely helpful in getting me out a replacement Barong, and did so in time for an event I had coming up, and urgently needed the Barong for. I was a little concerned due to the mixed reviews on here and the initial mix up, but honestly they did me right so they deserve their 5 stars
Disappointing Experience with Sizing and Customer Service
I recently ordered a Medium Organza Classic Barong Tagalog based on the sizing chart provided online. However, upon receiving the item, it was noticeably smaller than expected and did not match the measurements listed.
I reached out to the company to request an exchange for a Large size, only to be told I would need to pay a $15 restocking fee, cover the return shipping costs, and also pay an additional $7.99 for the replacement to be shipped. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering the sizing issue was due to inaccurate information on their website.
To make matters worse, the customer service has been unhelpful and unaccommodating throughout the process. I strongly recommend ordering through Amazon or another platform that offers better customer support and a more customer-friendly return policy.

I ordered the right size for me pero, smaller yung dumating. Yung top tumutusok sa armpit. Not comfortable. The ribbon on the skirt is not attached at kailangan pang problemahin kung paano ilalagay. Yung ribbon din is off. Yung top, it is supposed to be tucked in, as advertised, to give way for the ribbon, but because of the piping, sobrang off if tucked in.
Yung top button ng barong naman, so tight.
The seller of course is happy kasi nakabenta... Pero kaming buyers, may magagawa ba kami? Kahit paulanin namin ng bad reviews, anong mapapala namin?
Nakakadismaya... Compromise na lang kahit pricey...

DO NOT ORDER FROM BARONG WORLD
I ordered my barong om April 14. And just received it on May 23. When i ordered my barong i was told that it would be 25 days to receive since i had a custom one made. Everytime i would ask about my order i kept getting excuses that it was still being processed and they would send me an email once it has been shipped. After the date that my order was supposed to come i called again and was told that the there was a problem getting the fabric for my barong but it would be there the following week. Again i called for an update and was told it was still be processed. Finally after waiting for more than a month and constantly calling them they said my barong was done but i wouldn't be able to receive it till the end of may because the courier company they use which is DHL doesn't give them an option to ship express overnight. Which was completely wrong because i am a manager at DHL and i know that we offer overnight shipping from the Philippines to canada. Which i told them. After letting them know that I work for DHL and we ship express overnight they got back to me within ten minutes and said the dhl website which they use to create the waybills all of a sudden let them ship overnight. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! They will keep giving you excuses about your order. Total scam! I have already email the manager that handles the Philippines hub and explained to them what this company is doing and DHL will be looking at there account.
Really poor communications on shipping
Really poor communications on shipping. Many barongs are naturally for planned events. As a result, timely delivery and communications is important. However, Barong World simply doesn't communicate on shipping... one has to chase them down for information. I will not purchase from them again. Also, note the good reviews here appear to be left by some Barong World employees if you look them up.

Ordered 4 barongs 2 months before my event. 4 weeks out I asked for an update, they said it was delayed. 2 weeks out I was asking for daily updates and they said the 2 boy barongs were still being produced.
No barongs arrived and I had to go to a local supplier instead. 3 weeks later, still no refund after BW explicitly committed to providing one. I had to cancel via my credit card ($300+).
Scam company and terrible customer service that will string you along. Don't let them ruin your event.
