I easily booked a rental online and was able to pick it up exactly when I needed it. Drop off was very accommodating as well, as they accepted an after hours drop off at no extra charge.
Staff were very friendly and willing to help out as well.

Hi Donna,
We do have a standard holding pre authorisation of $500 that we get your bank to hold for the duration of your rental that is returned to you 72 hours after the return of the vehicle.
We do make sure this is listed on any confirmations we send out and have also made sure our third parties know this has to be advised when making a booking.
Apologies as it sounds like you have not been aware of this before your arrival, I will pass feedback along to our internal team to look for any room to improve here.

Windscreen was filthy
Windscreen was filthy, car only had three quarter full of fuel ( returned with 100% full)
Floor mates flimsy, slippery and dangerous
Car also smelt dirty and was disappointing considering the cost and expectation. I suppose budget is budget but filthy screens and slippery dangerous floor mats are not what I expect

We take your comments regarding the filthy windscreen, the odour, and the floor mats very seriously. The mats should always be securely fitted, and a clean vehicle is a basic standard we expect to deliver regardless of price. We have passed these details directly to our detailing and depot management teams to ensure our quality checks are strictly enforced moving forward.
Regarding the fuel, we have reviewed your rental file and confirmed that the vehicle was indeed under-filled when you collected it as evidenced by the photo you have provided. Because you acted in good faith and returned the vehicle completely full, we have processed a refund to reimburse you for the cost of that missing fuel, however we would like to clarify that the fuel missing was 1/8 of the tank. Please allow 2–5 business days for these funds to appear back in your account.
Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention, as it allows us to correct them and improve our service.

Paperwork filled out online prior to trip made it quick getting car. Realised car was too small. Only took a few minutes to get a bigger one. Staff service and price excellent.

Wonderful staff at Bargain Car Rentals in Harrington St, Hobart.
The staff at Bargain Car Rentals were friendly, approachable, informative, prompt, punctual.
There was an error after I made 3 separate bookings - They accidently got canceled and I had no trouble getting them re-booked.
The price on the day was a little higher than I remembered for the first booking (no mattter).
The vehicle was a rattly LDV. I still have 2 more booking c0vering 12 days hire.

The car was great,
However, it has now been a week since I returned the vehicle to Hobart Airport, and I still haven't recieved my Security Deposit of $1000 returned yet.

The return time for a holding deposit with us is 72 hours from the return of the vehicle.
With these you do not see a withdraw and deposit as we void the pre authorisation that was holding the money with your bank.
