-update, after numerous back and forths they have now sent me a working devise, however it is second hand.
I dont write reviews but in this instance it is necessary.
This company is the absolute most horrific i have ever dealt with.
I was sent a faulty radio, i sent videos and they confirm it is faulty (it can not be turned off). They said if i want a replacement i must pay £10.
Its not actually about the money but the principle.
If i damaged a clients (anything) i would fix. if i broke something in a shop, i would pay. If you send me a broken devise, you should send me a new one !!! If you want this one back to replace, the company should pay !! Why are you making me cover costs for your faulty products?!?!
i have been arguing now for weeks with no outcome still.
I wish i never bought from this company

Just ordered my new QYT KT-9800D Portable Radio & it arrived with speedy delivery. Excellent service at no extra price. Easy to program with free Chirp Software. I can see this being a big seller.

There so solid and easy to use. I am still playing around with the aerials but I am well satisfied with the product and will continue to add to my stock. But you need a friendlier website to find stuff.
Ordered an item on 4th sept. emailed Baofeng UK on 16th sept to say it hadn't arrived. They said dont worry its on its way. By 28th sept it still hadnt been delivered.
Baofeng uk say it was delivered but will not provide proof. It still hasnt been delivered and i now have to make a claim. Fraudsters so be warned.
After reading the reply from Baofeng i have contacted Royal Mail again. Royal Mail have confirmed that they have not delivered this item to me. I don't know if this is the fault of Baofeng or Royal Mail but i have been advised my contract is with Baofeng and the item i purchased has not been delivered to me. Royal mail wont discuss or investigate further and Baofeng have washed their hands and keep insisting the item was delivered smoothly. Show me the proof Baofeng that it was delivered to my address.
I do not live in Pangbourne wherever that is.

Radio arrived as expected, was hesitant based on other reviews but no issues.
Ordered various radios from them, including a UV-9R Plus, which broke within a few months of recieving it. Because it's within 6 months I'm entitled (by law!) to a replacement or repair at their cost, which they are refusing to do.
Each time I mention the law, they just send the same sentence back: "We confirm the radio is under the warranty, so we will provide free checking and repair for the radio, but sorry to tell you that the postage would not be covered." - it's not a question of warranty, it's a question of their legal obligation, which they are completely ignoring.
So, better hope you get what you paid for, because if it doesn't work, you'll be out of pocket.
Edit: Hahaha, their response just confirms they won't follow the law! From Which's page on returning faulty goods:
"If the fault developed within first six months of you owning the product and you’re looking for a repair or replacement, it’s down to the retailer to check the fault in order to demonstrate the product wasn’t faulty when you received it.
"Because of this, the retailer will usually want to get it checked by a manufacturer. The retailer has a legal obligation to cover these costs."
They definitely have to cover the return cost, and are refusing to do so.

I made over 2000eur order. Fast shipping, fast replay to messages and im happy!
I bought a pack of 3 uv9r walki talkis and one of them came with the accessory port screw snapped inside so couldn't put the cover over to keep.it water proof or put a earpiece in ive contacted the company and they keep trying to divert the question frim me returning the product to me paying a extra £10 for a new radio even thought its a mess up on there end and they keep ignoring me.

I paid with iDeal the money left my account. It did not register on the company's website. So now it looks like I just donated money to this company. Emailed company they claim that they have not received any payment. They do not want to escalate this matter and contact iDeal to figure out what went wrong. If you have money to donate this company is happy to take it. I will now have to report this company everywhere I can. I keep on calling it a company, but it is probably a front.

Im just getting into Ham radio ive been dealing with Baofeng directly as a company in whole .There customer service in my experience has been top notch very helpful they helped me get the radio i wanted to start out and i will definitely deal with them again
Die Firma hat kein IBAN Konto. Alles wird über PayPal abgewickelt. Eine Telefonhotline gibt es dort auch nicht. Die versendete Ware wird von außerhalb der EU geliefert und muss den Zoll passieren. Am 16.7.2023 habe ich ein Baofeng BF-H6 bestellt. Am 21.7 habe ich ein defektes BF-H6 erhalten, der Zoll hat da keine Stichprobe genommen. Nach Hochladen
des Videobeweises, der auch akzeptiert wurde, bat ich um einen Retourenaufkleber um das defekte BF-H6 zurück zu schicken und Versendung eines Ersatzgerätes. Am 24.7 wurde mir klar gemacht, dass nach einer weiteren Überweisung von 8 Euro,
ich das defekte BF-H6 nicht zurückschicken muss und ein Ersatzgerät bekommen werde. Gut, dachte ich, dann kann ich ja das defekte BF-H6 entsorgen, was ich auch gemacht hatte. Als nach 11 Werktagen immer noch bei DHL nur eine elektronische Ankündigung des Ersatzgerätes vorlag (1 Segment), habe ich im Internet recherchiert.
Bei der Bundesnetzagentur fand ich unter abgeschlossene markteinschränkende Maßnahmen Folgendes: Dort unterliegen eine ganze Reihe von Baofeng Geräten beim Zoll einem Einfuhrverbot (Keine CE Prüfung, zu viel Oberwellenausstrahlung). Nach Hochladen der PDF Dokumente (Zoll-Einfuhrverbote) konnte ich Baofengradio überzeugen, dass das Ersatz BF-H6 vom Zoll abgefangen wurde und an das Warehouse von Baofeng mit einem roten Zollaufkleber zurückgeschickt wurde, und somit kein Ersatzgerät erhalten konnte.
Darauf hin habe um eine Rückerstattung der Kosten von 45.19 Euro (37.19 Euro defektes Funkgerät + 8 Euro Versand Ersatzgerät) gebeten.
Jetzt kommt der Hammer: Baofengradio will plötzlich nach 19 Tagen das defekte BF-H6 zurück gesendet haben, sonst gibt es keine Rückerstattung.
Das geht nun aber nicht mehr, da nach der Behalte-Erlaubnis vom 24.7 ich das defekte BF-H6 entsorgt hatte. Bis heute habe ich kein Geld trotz mehrfacher Aufforderung oder ein Ersatzgerät erhalten. Ich fühle mich mit meinen 63 Jahren reingelegt und bin zutiefst von Baofengradio enttäuscht. Ich werde dort nie wieder was bestellen. Dieser unfassbare Vorgang ist durch nichts zu entschuldigen! Dafür gibt's 0 Sterne (Order#15256).

I ordered a radio, an aerial and a programming lead. The total was over £50 so I was entitled to free delivery. This was the 20th July. Royal Mail tracking just said it had been dispatched, but had not arrived at the RDC. This was the same message until 31st July when it changed to 'Out for delivery'. After checking everything was present, I set up the programming cable. Tried to download the radio - The radio failed to respond. I did this several times with the same problem. After many emails to Baofeng, I was sent a link for the updated program (CHIRP). I could not get the results of the link to paste into my computer. I did eventually manage to download the radio, but after altering the frequencies to those that I required, the radio failed to respond when I tried to upload them to the radio. After many emails, I asked for a refund and the address to return the equipment. Just more emails asking me to try this and that. Absolute waste of time. I have been sitting here in front of the computer trying to program it manually, but it will not program. As far as I am concerned, it is CCS - don't ask what it means, I think you will know. Going to chat with a solicitor and have the radio checked out by a professional.

First class to deal with and of course good product I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone.
Ordered a radio which of course wasn’t coming from their “UK” warehouse. Given a Royal Mail tracking number which still states now that they are waiting for the item. Emailed customer service who refused to provide the international tracking number and just asked me to wait another few days. On further pressing they stated that it’s on its way the country of destination. I’m sure it will arrive and be fine but I do not like that they try and keep it so secret on where your item currently is.
