Tudo começou quando me deparei com a Aztrades.com, uma plataforma de negociação online que alegava oferecer oportunidades lucrativas de investimento no mercado de câmbio. O site era elegante e profissional, com depoimentos entusiasmados de clientes supostamente satisfeitos. Ansioso para ganhar um dinheiro extra, decidi arriscar e me cadastrar.
No entanto, assim que depositei o dinheiro suado na minha conta da Aztrades, as coisas pioraram. Minhas negociações iniciais pareciam estar gerando altos retornos, mas quando tentei sacar meus lucros, me deparei com um obstáculo. AZ Trades an offshore broker that is operated by AZ Markets LTD, an International Business Company registered in St Vincent and the Grenadines. As we have pointed out in our reviews of financial companies offering brokerage services that are registered in this Carribean country, traders should stay away from them.

It took us no more than a few minutes to spot inconsistencies on the website of the broker. While the name used in the website is ‘AZ Trades’, in the meta title and tab name, ‘AZ Traders’ is used.

This raises a very troubling question, especially when AZ Trades wants traders to invest their hard-earned money with them: on what else was the broker negligent?

Dracofx.com - Draco Fx was an online broker operated by Draco Business Solutions, which was also incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines. However, the website was closed following all the negative reviews it got! Traders with accounts on the website were subsequently redirected to AZ Trades. Most probably the latter will follow suit!

Commissions and Spreads
Commissions are charged for 4 of the 7 account types. However, the exact amount or percentage charged is not specified anywhere by the broker. No mention of any fee were made anywhere on the website, we only realised the broker charge a payout fee when we were testing their withdrawal procedures.

Spread

AZ Trades offers relatively high spread as compared to other online brokers. Currency pairs have a spread from 45 points for EUR/USD to 8590 points for GBP/TRY. For cryptocurrencies, commodities, stocks and indices the broker only mentions that the spread is floating without giving any exact values.

Deposit and Withdrawal Options
Traders can only deposit and withdraw money via credit and debit cards and wire transfer. Considering the major risks of trading with this broker, the less options traders have to give them their hard-earned money, the better!

While the broker has a whole page dedicated to AML (Anti Money Laundering) in which they outline numerous measures taken to prevent fraudulent monetary transactions, the truth is that AZ Trades does not have any sort of compliance process.

The withdrawal process is complicated and neither our account manager nor the customer service was too keen to help us. They always came up with new excuses to delay the process. They even tried to bully us into investing more money with them, failing which, our account will be suspended and we will lose the money we already invested.

Trading Platform
AZ Trades offer 3 types of trading platforms; the popular MT4, a mobile trader which is compatible with Android and IOS, as well as a proprietary web trader, which they claim has over 100 leading edge chart types, overlays, indicators, and drawing tools.

Everyone with a basic knowledge of online trading and a minimum of experience in the industry knows about the MT4 trading platform. We thus decided to spend most of our time on their proprietary platform.

The layout is fairly similar to most trading platforms out there, with all the usual charting options, indicators, overlays and drawing tools. The different tradable products are listed in a left tab, a right tab displays the different trading options and a bottom tab lists the open trades, pending orders and trade history. Traders can switch the main chart to open an Information section which lists all the information about the asset they are interested in trading.

Our verdict; proprietary yes, innovative or different no!

Customer Service
The customer service and account manager of AZ Trades can be contacted via phone, email, by requesting a callback, or by TeamViewer and AnyDesk.

They were fairly responsive and helpful via the telephone, email and callback when we had ‘issues’ with deposit and navigating the trading platform. However, when it came to requesting help with the withdrawal process, the exact opposite was true. They kept coming up with different excuses to delay the withdrawal process, and eventually even tried to bully us into investing more money, pretending that our account would be suspended if we did not.

Moreover, while they boldly advertise that their customer support is accessible 24/7 in the ‘Why Us’ section of the ‘About Us’ page, in the ‘Contact Us’ section of the exact same page, they contradict themselves. The customer support is in fact only available from 08:00 to 18:00 on days when exchanges are open!

Considering the dubious nature of the broker, we were unwilling to try the TeamViewer and AnyDesk options which would grant them access to our working station.

Social Media and Online Review
Not surprisingly, AZ Trades does not have any online Social Media presence!

Web Review
Most online reviews of AZ Trades are negative. Most are from traders detailing the different ways they were conned by the broker. Having gone through the same experience, we can understand their frustration. While we knew the risks and kind of expected to be deceived, these traders invested with the broker hoping to make a profit.

Conclusion
While it can take a few months to analyse a broker in depth, to understand their motives and to come to a conclusion; in this case, it only took us a few weeks. Right off the bat, with all the inconsistencies and the negligence they showed on their website, it was clear that we were not to expect much from this broker. AZ Trades is without a doubt a scam like its now-defunct associate DracoFx. And most probably, this broker is going in the same direction.

Our verdict: AZ Trades is not even to be considered as an option. There are many other online brokers out there, do not waste your time and hard earned money with this broker; stay away!
