A company shows its customer service standards when something goes wrong, not when everything goes right.

I returned a Try-at-Home dress using Avery Austin’s prepaid FedEx return label. FedEx accepted the package, but it later stalled in transit. Throughout the process, the explanation I received from Avery Austin repeatedly changed.

First, I was told my subsequent Try-at-Home order could not be fulfilled because the size I ordered had been damaged. Then I was told the issue was related to my outstanding return. Finally, the cancellation email stated that there was “not enough stock” to fulfill the order.

The explanation for the return issue also shifted over time. Initially, I was told they had no information beyond the fact that FedEx had accepted the package. Later, I was told the problem was my fault because the original shipping label was also inside the box, despite the correct prepaid return label being attached to the outside and used by FedEx to accept and process the shipment.

Rather than offering a consistent explanation or working toward a solution, Avery Austin placed my paid order on hold and ultimately shifted responsibility for a shipping issue that occurred after the carrier had taken possession of the package.

I cancelled my order and will not be doing business with Avery Austin in the future.

I highly recommend staying away from Avery Austin. I am not one to usually write reviews, but my experience with them has been a nightmare. The dress they sent me is significantly worse quality than the sample I tried on. It is see through and scratchy.

This business is scammy and deceptive, and I would stay away. They are refusing to give me a return or refund and insisting that they can alter it. Altering the dress is not going to change the fact that the outermost fabric is almost completely sheer.

Save yourself the trouble and purchase your dress somewhere else!!! They also delete bad reviews, that’s why you won’t see any.

Even though I didn’t end up purchasing my dress from Avery Austin (I found “the one” in person shortly after I placed my order for my 3 sample dresses), I still wanted to share how great my experience was! Everything arrived beautifully packaged, and I loved the thoughtful touches like the cute little bag with dress clips and the included measuring tape. Returning the sample dresses was super easy with the provided label, and the gowns themselves were absolutely stunning and flawless in quality. If I hadn’t already found my dress, I would’ve 100% bought one of their gorgeous gowns!

I ordered a dress the Julia on sept 20 size 14 ivory and was given an estimated ship date of Nov 20 2024 . I saw that my original order was correct . However when i went back to the website now it shows that i ordered a size 30 with a ship date of sept 27.... i immediately tried to contact avery austin through email and phone call( by the way it is an answering machine that i had to leave numerous messages ) ....The first person to make contact thru email assured me the order1 was updated and the correct size would be sent with an estimated date of nov 29th, So 2 days later my order had not been updated so i started calling at 9am. Finally at about 3pm i received a call back only to tell me that my order had not been updated as promised and i was told that the price on the website was for a sale item and i have to pay more so im a bride who is paying normal bills in addition to paying for a wedding now i have no wedding dress . This was the worse experience thus far . I am literally in tears as i write this review . I don't know what to do or wear to get a wedding dress by nove 30th

I had a try at home wedding dress and the quality and fit exceeded my expectations, especially being a sample dress. I SAID YES TO THE DRESS (The Penelope dress)
