My husband bought a ‘sterling silver’ ring for me from Auclair Jewellery. Within 3 weeks of the ring arriving and being worn it started to show visible signs of being worn down and tarnished. The silver was going dull already, so I emailed the company on 28th June stating that I was having issues and included pictures. I received a reply saying they were very sorry and would help resolve the issue. They then ignored me for 2 weeks when I followed up, they replied asking me to clean the ring. I had obviously already done that but did it again anyway and replied with more pictures saying the issue was still persisting. They then asked me to clean it again, this time telling me the ring had encountered a chemical making the surface level pit. The ring had not encountered a chemical but I did what they asked and gave it a ‘baking soda and aluminium foil bath’. I did this twice in a couple of weeks and the ring was still dull and tarnished. Compared to my high street brand silver ring it looks awful. I have since emailed a further two times on the 10th and 25th August with more pictures and have been completely ignored both times. Might I add, this whole time the ring has been under ‘warranty’ which clearly means nothing. I would recommend people think twice before buying from Auclair, unless you are okay with a poor quality ring that takes weeks and weeks to be made, and then being ignored when you raise an issue.

I got engaged to my Fiancé last year with my dream ring! It was so perfect that we requested another custom-made design for our wedding bands. To our surprise, it arrived sweetly in the early morning of New Year! The quality is amazing, and you can see the love poured into making it.

avoid at all cost , to start with I placed an expensive order with this place , everything was normal and told 6 to 8 weeks as made to order , then time starts to get close and not heard a thing since placing order so email for an update and get told there was a delay with hallmark but will be dispatched the following week, eventually I get an email with expected delivery date so I start making plans and booking tickets ect , delivery day comes and I get a notification saying it's been signed and handed to recipient, I straight away ring royalmail to find out what's going on as I'm at work , long story short the driver signed for it him self and parcel is unfound but for three weeks of chasing royal mail for what's going on this company has done nothing but fob me off and left the whole ordeal for me to deal with , even spew out some rubbish that their terms of conditions say once handed to courier they are no longer responsible which is complete rubbish under the consumers act , even now after royal mail have taken responsibility to the missing order and waiting for claim this company has done nothing and to this day im still chasing for my refund and have had to get trading standards and my bank involved ,theyhave dragged this out so long that I have had to cancel all my arrangements untill this is resolved

yes you offered a replacement ring of a lower value sub par ring which I was in my right to refuse because that is not what I paid for ! and as for royal mail track if you bothered to investigate it from the start like I had too you would of known the image taken was just a close up image of the sticker on the box and that after they hand interviewed the driver he had signed for the parcel him self and left it on a neighbors doorstep out in the open so they accepted for responsibility for the ring being miss handled and going missing but your still messing me around and now just had the cheek to email me still refusing to refund me my money and and refused to do anything because I have had to put a dispute with my bank against you !!

The most fantastic service - staff went above and beyond answering all questions and getting my order sent as soon as possible. Nothing was too much. They truly set the standard!

A beautiful ring but highly impracticable. I’ve had to get it fixed twice in a year and now considering getting it reset. Make sure your stone has a halo! Annoyingly broke the week of wedding and had to pay £80 for a repair, jewellers who fixed it complained about the quality of band.

Firstly I would like to give credit where it is due - the rings I have received are stunning. Now the customer service I have received from this company is outragous and has let down their rating. I ordered a ring for my daughters 30th birthday, it exceeded the time expected to arrive. When chased Auclair about this they advised the courier had lost the parcel. I dont believe this as I hadnt received an email that my order was with the courier - Auclair had lost my order. Due to the error they offered a free ring, very grateful for this as didnt expect anything for free. My daughter wears yellow gold so emailed back to ask if it would be in this material and told it would be. Ring arrives and unfortunetly it is silver - when questioned Auclair about this they simply replied they didnt see the issue as the ring was free despite the email received from customer service that I would receive this in 10k gold and my original order upgraded to 14k gold. They are not taking any responsibility for losing the original order, going back on their promise of the goodwill gesture ring being in the material stated and now have stated they will no longer be corresponding to any communication. My daughter had originally sent ideas from this website to her partner for an engagement ring and has since told him to not use this company due to the service we have received. Very disappointed as put a dampener on a special birthday.

Edit - In response to Auclairs reply the 2 star review is because of the customer service received. Since this review they have also asked what they can do to recitfy the situation and have this review removed.
