Fantastic Customer Service
I found this company and their products online and was really keen to purchase but after reading all the bad reviews on customer service I was very hesitant. So I just tried getting in contact to test the waters to see how long it took them to reply etc. Boy was I amazed! Not only did Ana help out straight away, she also personally opted to keep track of my order to make sure I received it before Christmas (and it arrived within the week). I had also forgotten to put in my welcome discount code when I was ordering and she kindly reimbursed me the difference which I was not expecting. Then she followed up when she could see my order had been delivered. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Missing items - resolved quickly
Received my order and it was missing one part. I emailed the company on a Friday and they responded within minutes requesting photos. I replied with these and a replacement was sent within the hour. I was assisted by Ana who was very pleasant and helpful. My replacement item arrived by Monday morning via express post at no extra cost to me. I found their service very prompt and resolved the issue with no hassles. Ana then emailed to follow up to ensure I had received my product the following day.
Great idea, BUT
Great idea, but tried to scratch off a family edition activity and it is very hard to scratch off without also removing the words. We had to try 3 different things to try get something we could get off and read. Gave up...and created out own adventure.
Late, dismissive, deceptive, unapologetic
My experience with The Adventure Challenge was frustrating, misleading, and utterly dismissive. I placed my order four weeks before Christmas, expecting it to arrive on time. Instead, it was shipped four weeks after Christmas—only after extensive follow-up on my part. By the time it arrived, it was no longer useful for its intended purpose and I requested a refund.
Rather than honoring this, they ignored my refund request and sent a replacement instead, despite my clear communication. At one point, they even offered to send a copy “on us,” implying it would be free, only to revoke this later. They also stated that they would process a refund once the replacement arrived, but then backtracked on this as well.
Throughout this ordeal, their responses were robotic, dismissive, and completely failed to acknowledge my concerns. Instead of addressing the clear inconvenience and policy inconsistencies, they repeatedly hid behind templated responses and refused to take responsibility.
This is more than just poor service—it's deceptive and misleading business practice.
Poor Communication with out of stock product.
I order the advent calendar and the family adventure challenge on 10th November as Christmas gifts for work colleagues. After not receiving any postage confirmation after 10 days I emailed the company who responded saying the order was on hold because the family adventure was out of stock. Communication was poor, I had to continually chase up my order and in the end didn't receive it until 22nd January. Had I been notified at the time of order that an item was out of stock, I could have made alternative arrangements instead of being not being able to give the gifts on the intended date. It feels a bit awkward to give the advent calendar now in January when it is a Christmas theme.
Better customer service would have been to ship the advent calendar immediately and communicate with me that the family adventure was out of stock, rather than leaving me hanging.

Wrong dispatching + poor customer service response times killed the joy of product
I had placed an order in late November to be here for Christmas. The parcel came with one item missing and another damaged. I immediately contacted the customer service email, no response for about 1 week. I then went online and contacted them via their chat. No one available at the time (during midweek business hours) so set up for someone to contact me back. Almost 1 week later someone contacted me. Needless to say, i didnt recieve the replacement in time. When the replacement was sent, I first received a parcel that contained only 1 item, contacted customer service again. Wait again. Then a second parcel came with the two replacement items. Told customer service an extra had been sent and was emailed an AUS post return label, so now I have to organise to go to a post office to mail it back. Inconvenient. Please have an audit into your dispatch team + processes along with your customer service process.

unfortunately my package had some challenges with the courier and didn't make it in time for christmas but that is not the fault of the adventure challenge. they were clear and quick to respond to my queries and eventually when the courier failed to deliverym the shipped my order to a new address
