Super helpful and professional service

Everything ran smoothly would use again

I broke down in the Lake District on Monday 18th March a lone Female 6 and half hours away from home and anyone I knew.
The payment was sent in full which was a hell of a lot of money and an hour before me and the car was going to be picked and taken back to Kent I was told the driver didn't have any more hours on his clock and they now couldn't take me until Friday 22nd I was stranded in a lane just off the motor way it was dark by this point around 6pm in the evening.
I had to find somewhere to stay that night and make my way by various trains back to Kent and my car was going to be kept in storage they told me, they also said they where out of pocket because they where having to pay for this so I wouldnt get any money back considering I had payed them to pick me and the car up Monday night to take a very scared me by this point back to Kent.
I got told it would be delivered Thursday 21st at 9am and baring Mind I'm having to find a garage to take me when they keep changing the date and time.
The driver rang me to say he had my car on his property so they wasnt paying for it to go into storage at all for this was lie number 1.
I wouldn't have paid for the service if I had known they couldn't take me and the car to go back to Kent I would have found someone else, so I have paid in full and they haven't delivered a service I have paid for.
Then I get a call to say the tow truck had been in a accident and the back light was broken so now my car wouldn't be coming back till Friday ( again trying to re arrange with the garage in Kent) Assist U called me with a different story and say it's coming on another tow truck, so if there was another tow truck why couldn't it still be bought here on Thursday.
I spoke with 2 different people a manager and a supervisor.
When I had originally broken down it was a very scary and upsetting time and I can't believe I'm still waiting for my car that I have paid soooo much money for because me and the car was meant to be back Monday.
They won't give me any money back even though they haven't kept up there end of the bargain and still booked me in and took all my money even though they would have known there driver wouldn't be able to do the job due to not having any more hours left on his clock.
Wouldn't recommend absolutely no care for my situation just interested in the money and there is nothing I can do but wait and it's currently Thursday.

Service was ok. Helped me to jump start my car and all went well. However, service is too expensive! I paid £156 just to get my car jumpstarted!!! Not happy about that!

Great response time and super efficient, if i had, had the time i would have looked around more as they charged alot and the company that came out advised it wad only a £65 fee for the job not the £480 we where charged you live and learn

Absolutely saved my a**! The woman I spoke to was efficient, kind and went out of her way to help in what was an incredibly stressful situation! The pickup driver was professional and friendly. Cannot recommend them highly enough. The price was higher than I expected but that's my own fault for not checking my RAC coverage and for choosing a specialist garage at a distance.

I think Tyre fault is the issue which mostly leave vehicles on the road, it would be best to add that to your services.

The woman on the phone was very polite and made it easy for me to understand and organise. The pick up and transportation of my vehichle was very efficient and on time.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Recovery driver got to me earlier than expected which was great and was even able to suggest what the problem might be. The lovely woman I spoke to on the phone went out of her way to help me and once I learnt something about my car was even able to reduce the price. Would highly recommend Assist U if your in a pickle.

The staff was nice and friendly, they called me back and helped even though I had challenges with network until I finished the payment.The towing guy came early than I expected . He was friendly and welcoming . The car reached the garage exactly the time they had anticipated.Even though i was stressed, i felt relieved talking to them. I had a wonderful experience with them. And will recommend my friends and family.

Waited hours and hours - waste of time - ignored on the phone - excuse after excuse.

Very polite and efficient Recovery arrived in about 15mins Car was started excellent service

The only grumble was the four hour wait for recovery when the estimated wait time was supposed to be within an hour and a half. The telephone team were helpful and kept me updated. The driver, Mike, was first rate and made every effort to deliver my car to the VW garage in Northampton (from Cheltenham). He succeeded with 15 minutes to spare. Friendly, efficient, and safe. A genuinely nice man.

Following difficulties with faulty steering and 2 hours away from home I called assist u.
My call was answered by Jamie he supported me through the whole process despite my phone having limited charge and kept going off. He persisted in calling me back until Breakdown cover was in place.
It was a 2 hour wait, ( originally told 60-90 minutes) on calling back after 90 minutes Jackie emailed the company sourced with picking me up and the chap called me within 5 minutes to say he was on his way and delayed by traffic.
Couldn’t fault the service from Jamie, Charlotte or Jackie ( thank you)
Company sourced with pick up we’re great too. Chap ( not very chatty) but reassuring and got me home in record time.
Not that I wish the experience on anyone but definitely worth giving them a call if without break down cover.
Be aware it’s not a cheap service but then I was 2 hours away from home.

Excellent service, speedy and super efficient. The mechanic fixes the problem immediately and was very helpful and informative.

I was more than happy with the service I received from Assist U. Dave who answered my call was really good and James who assisted me was really professional and dealt with my cars issue very well and left me confident to get on my way.

I used Assist U yesterday after breaking down in an inconvenient place on a very fast road. I made a phone call toAssist U who were extremely helpful . They kept in touch with me constantly to ensure I was ok, and to let me know how long the recovery man would be. Excellent service
