I’ve worked with Ethos on multiple projects and the experience has been smooth throughout. The team is responsive, professional, and communication is always clear. What stood out most was that there were actual people guiding and supporting the process, which made everything feel much more genuine and comfortable. Payments were prompt, feedback was quick, and the projects themselves were interesting to work on. Overall, a great experience working with the team.

Ethos has been a fast-paced freelance experience with exposure to presentation and business-related projects. The workflow is highly output-driven, and communication mainly happens through Slack with a distributed team setup.

One thing I appreciated is the opportunity to start contributing quickly without long hiring delays. The environment feels startup-oriented, where adaptability and speed matter a lot. Team members are generally responsive, and the project flow appears active with multiple contributors working simultaneously.

At the same time, freelancers should proactively clarify payment cycles, project expectations, onboarding processes, and scope details early on, since the structure is more flexible than a traditional company setup.

Overall, it seems like a good opportunity for self-driven freelancers who are comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment.

I was approached by Ethos for some project work that was appealing. I was impressed that I spoke with an actual person who explained the work - rare these days ... I got immediate feedback on the project, and payment was prompt.

I am not sure if this company is acting ethically, I had completed AI assessments and was told I am a good fit for the role but they are keeping me as a back-up, then I get asked to do more AI assessments for other roles. It looks they are using people to do AI assessments to train up their own tool, I don't think there is any jobs behind it. The pay rates and hours look too good to be true, I do not believe they are real!

Multiple follow-up emails went unanswered. The job posting is still actively advertised on LinkedIn despite no one getting responses.
Seeing the pattern in other reviews here - this feels like they're padding their talent database numbers for investors rather than actually matching people to paid work. High advertised rates that you'll never see because you'll never get past "Review" status.
Don't waste your time. There are legitimate gig platforms out there - this isn't one of them.

At first I was curious (and a bit doubtful?) about AI consultations. But Ethos makes it very smooth and natural, driving the interview to draw the best out of it.

Going on 3 weeks without feedback despite being told via email “will go over the calls in the next few days”. Definitely feels like a scam.

Did a call with them to help train their AI. After that, I never heard back. They advertise very high hourly rates, but it feels like they just use your call for data and then leave your application pending indefinitely. Don’t waste your time.

The experience with Ethos has been intense and by far the best in consulting for AI companies. In particular, what stands out is their attention to details and the amazing system of feedback for each prompt.
It is always very easy to get an answer or some tips on how to.improve your prompts.

I was skeptical about AI as I have used it but was not satisfied and in my line of work as a doctor and a researcher I needed to understand value but mostly limits. Ethos involved me in a structured project on AI on medical topics, which I really appreciated as it made me learn things I was not familiar with, prompting, rubrics, way to questions and probe. The people at Ethos are amazing, incredibly smart , competent, patient and supportive in helping a non Z Gen get the grasp of something which is changing the way we collect , retrieve and trust generative AI.
