I wanted to express my gratitude to our housing agent. Rebecca has been amazing at communicating with us and providing information. We are still waiting to get approval from the reference team but so far everything has been great. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly and we will get the house😁. Rebecca made us feel really comfortable throughout the journey.

Prompt and Helpful Replies
Mr Lewin always responds quickly to any requests or concerns I raise as a landlord. In this particular he reminded me the ECP was about to expire and did I want to get someone myself to do the check or use an Ascend approved provider. Recently as well he was able to provide up to date information on average rents for similar properties to mine in the area. He is always polite and represents Ascend well.

The house has remained cold .
The house has remained cold since we moved in as the back door to the garden and the front door to the house hasn't been fixed as we have a child with a heart condition we end up taking him to the hospital regularly during winter because of sickness an ill health due to not being warm from cold to a cold home .
We have rising damp in the living room and kitchen which had not been properly looked at .i have
Filled in some gaps with foam but as I'm not a builder I do not know what I'm doing as there's alot more to secure the house.
We however have been helped with some repairs but as above the main repairs either get ignored or need reporting over and over again and still four yrs here nothing has been done .
However Liam Eadsforth an team have been very helpful passing on fixflo and trying to get help.

Ascend have looked after my rental property for several years and I rate them very highly. In particular Mark Lewin who is always on hand, answers emails promptly and has recently gone above and beyond when I needed his help. Even though I only have the one property and my account is probably just a drop in the ocean compared to others, he is always helpful, friendly and courteous.

Aleaya Afzaal is wonderful and efficient. I had been chasing money I was owed and it caused stress to me. Aleaya seems to be a new member of staff because I had not had dealings with her before. Aleaya is fantastic and so helpful. She sorted my refund right out and I am very grateful to her. Aleaya is an asset to Ascend. Thank you!
Additionally, I have very fond memories of my cute little flat I had with Ascend and I’ll forever remember it. Thank you Ascend.

No contractor has been in touch for…
No contractor has been in touch for months, we have black mould in the bathrooms and nothing will be done to aid me even though I am physically unable to tough housework due to my health. The Ascend team themselves have attempted to help in some ways but nothing has been done since we moved in.

Excellent support with move in
Aleaya was super helpful regarding our moving in issues! She was on hand to answer my calls and was quick to arrange contractors to fix odd bits, keeping me in the loop at all times! She provided us with all the contact details we needed to directly contact property management and caretakers ourselves.
The team are really responsive and have made the whole move-in process straight forward and effortless. I couldn't fault Ascend so far and have no concerns getting support should we need it in the future.

To all Young/ new renters: DO NOT IGNORE THIS REVIEW.
Avoid this letting agency like the plague, as tempting and attractive the reduced rent may seem, it certainly isn’t worth the mental distress. From the complaints team to the account managers, namely, LOUISE GORTON, are absolutely useless. They will exploit you and withhold your deposit from you at the end of the tenancy. You will make a number of complaints regarding faults in the property only for said faults to come out of your deposit. This company feeds off young and inexperienced renters, do not become victim to this and rent elsewhere!!!!!
Renters are bribed with a 1 month rent free raffle to leave a 5 star review on company page, be very wary!!!

Absolutely terrible estate agent
Absolutely terrible estate agent - had nothing but problems from day 1 of moving into a rental accommodation. They clearly do not communicate internally very well with each other and the checkout process was horrendous, Louise Gorton the property manager is useless. Also had to wait 3 months to receive my deposit back from TDS as lack of updates and responses from the ascend team - will never use the guys again
