Super Statistiken

Cool stuff

Cool stuff. Shed some light on some shoddy playlists I was on. I get to check my stats, and find new curators. Tnere's quite a bit on the site I haven't explored yet. The founder/owner is awesome and is in the front lines with the artists using the site. Highly reccomended.

Incredibly useful tools for both…

Incredibly useful tools for both curators and artists, probably the best on the market.

In my case as a curator, I have specifically used the Playlist Analyzer, Bot Checker, and Keywords (SEO) tools. I find them very comprehensive, providing essential insights to understand listener behavior, verify bot usage in playlists, and help better position the keywords for your titles.

Lastly, I must mention that their customer service is highly efficient and friendly. I contacted them once to resolve a question I had, and beyond just answering it, they guided me on how to get the most out of the tools, all with a very helpful and kind attitude.

I totally recommend them if you want to take your music business to the next level.

Great value, great features

I've been a free user for a few months and it was simple and useful! I decided to upgrade to the paid level and I am quite satisfied with the value I get. I appreciate the service and features. Outside of the platform-specific sites and my distributor, this is my 3rd most visited site when it comes to managing my songs and playlists.

⚠️ Misleading and Unreliable Results & Poor Support Response

I recently checked my playlist “Latest Afrobeats Hits 2025” on app.artist.tools and was shocked to see it labeled as “likely botted.” This is completely inaccurate.

I created this playlist about eight weeks ago and have been running paid ads (around $50/day) across Meta platforms to promote it. In addition, I’ve shared it organically through university networks and peer-to-peer shares. I closely monitor the playlist’s weekly growth and engagement, so seeing this “botted” label makes no sense.

I reached out to the website owner, Aaron Whittington, for clarification and shared screenshots of my ad account and details of my process. He claimed it was being looked into, but I haven’t gotten any further response. The lack of communication is disappointing, especially considering how damaging such a label can be for potential collaborators, artists, or labels could easily dismiss my playlist based on this false assessment.

If this can happen to a legitimately promoted playlist like mine, I seriously question the accuracy and reliability of the data on this platform. Until the team addresses these issues and improves transparency, I’d advise others to take their results with caution. Aaron is a playlist curator as well, so who’s to say his “likely botted” labeling of other curators’ playlists isn’t a strategy to kill the competition?

Updated Review – Issue Resolved Promptly:
I originally left a negative review after my playlist “Latest Afrobeats Hits 2025” was incorrectly labeled as “likely botted.” I was frustrated by the inaccuracy and the lack of communication at the time.

However, shortly after my review went live Artist.Tools founder (Aaron) reached out, investigated, and quickly corrected the labeling. This clarified the situation and ensured the playlist’s status reflected accurate, legitimate promotion.

I appreciate their responsiveness and willingness to resolve the issue, it shows they do care about user feedback and data accuracy. While my initial experience was rocky, the follow-up was professional and prompt.

Overall: The platform provides useful analytics for playlist curators, though I’d still like to see clearer communication channels for quicker resolutions in the future. But I’m happy with how they handled this in the end.

Just for context, it looks like “Latest Afrobeats Hits 2025” was bot-attacked externally (meaning someone else botted the playlist).

That's why it got flagged, and in my defence, I consider this accurate.

If all the fake "attack" followers get removed, and we can confirm listener activity wasn't affected, we usually overwrite the "Likely Botted" rating as it's generally a one-off and considered low risk.

Which is exactly what we did in this case!

Free tool is good enough

The free version is genuinely useful — you can see an artist’s estimated earnings range and instantly check if they’re in any botted playlists. But the paid curator pitching isn’t worth it: many emails bounce, and a lot of curators just ask for payola ($100+ for placement). Good free tool, poor value for paid pitching.

Hey Yuri!

Thanks for the kind words about artist.tools!

I totally get the playlist pitching frustration. The artists finding success with our contact info typically treat it as relationship-building rather than cold pitching:

Stuff like
- Engage on their socials first
- Offer value upfront (share their playlists, support their content)
- Follow up & engage consistently over time

Regarding the paid placement responses – that's definitely common.

While it goes against Spotify's policy and you need to watch for bad actors, many successful artists do use it because it works. Personally I'd steer clear, but it's worth acknowledging this is part of the reality out there.

Curators get hundreds of submissions weekly, so the personal touch makes all the difference for organic placements. It's more work upfront, but the relationship-first approach gets much better results long-term.

Thanks for the feedback – helps us understand what artists are experiencing!

Super useful and legit

These folks have built a real, searchable database of legit playlists for submissions. The low cost for submissions gets you real reviews and considerations with real playlisters, and real listeners when the tracks are accepted.

One of the best playlist scouting tools…

One of the best playlist scouting tools I've come across. I've been doing playlisting for my clients since 2020 and this has taken so much headache out of the playlist scouting process, especially with the rise of franchised botted playlists on Spotify! Also had great experiences with customer support, one of the most down-to-earth and helpful staff I've come across in general. Would highly recommend!
