Thank you to Gee, she is an exceptional teacher. Eshaal has been at art K for two terms now, and learnt so much and made some beautiful art. She looks forward to every session with Gee who is an inspiration to the children. Gee is always approachable , friendly , kind and so welcoming. Her passion for art is very evident in the way she teaches the children. Eshaal is looking forward to the next term. Gee is a credit to the team, we are very lucky to have her as our teacher. 😊

Your daughter brings such a bright energy to class every week, and her enthusiasm and the happiness she gets from creating shine through in each and every project she makes. I'm so proud of how her clay unicorn bowl turned out. It was lovely to be able to weave in her interests in a way that made her so excited about the process.
Knowing the classes make a difference to the children I teach means so much, and reviews like yours remind me why I do what I do! I'm so glad to have you both as part of the art-K Saltaire community and can't wait to see what the autumn term brings for her🎨

Super creative and nurturing space
My 8 year old daughter attended the half term workshops for the first time in May. Gee was super welcoming and friendly, the studio is nurturing and creative with an impressive range of artistic activities that my daughter loved. 💖 After a taster session she wanted to go the next day, for the whole day! We will definitely be booking for the summer holidays. Such a great alternative to the usual holiday club mayhem 😅 to enable more introverted, arty kids to express themselves and make friends. Thank you 💗

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was an absolute joy to see your daughter in her element in the studio. Her observational skills and brush control are fantastic, and her Hockney-inspired sausage dog and sunset canvases were gorgeous!
Seeing you book on again the very next day was the best feedback I could ask for and a real testament to how much she enjoyed our day together :) Bring on the summer workshops! I can't wait to see her again! 🎨

Nervous adult beginner!
I began going to Art -K Shipley round about Easter - very nervous after a lifetime of believing that ‘I can’t do art’. From the word go it has been a really positive experience. The lovely tutor G listened to my fears and my interest and gently helped me start exploring the scary thing of actually putting pencil and paint to paper! She creates a lovely atmosphere that makes this a highlight of my week! I’m happy to be gaining confidence and learning some skills and having FUN!

Fantastic May Half Term art club!
Our two girls absolutely loved Gee’s May half-term art club at art-K! The range and quality of artwork they produced over the sessions was incredible, and they came home each day excited to show us what they had created.
Gee was fantastic with the children – patient, kind, encouraging, and clearly passionate about helping them develop their creativity and confidence. She created such a welcoming and supportive environment that our girls looked forward to every session.
We were genuinely amazed by what they achieved in just a few days and can’t recommend the club highly enough. We’re already eagerly waiting for the summer camp dates to be released!

The girls threw themselves into each and every project with so much enthusiasm and creativity, and I loved watching them applying skills learnt at the start of the week independently and with such confidence by the end of the week. I'm so proud of what they achieved, they were absolute stars 🌟

Kind, helpful and inspiring!
Very friendly and accommodating. My two girls aged 8 and 10 really enjoyed their day of holiday art camp and came home with some really lovely artwork. The girls described the lady running the camp, G, as "kind, helpful and inspiring"! Would highly recommend.

They were an absolute joy to have at the studio and I hope they're already putting their wet on wet and acrylic blending techniques to good use. I love Thursday mornings
I love Thursday mornings! The art-k studio is a lovely bright space and Gee is so welcoming. She creates a friendly relaxed atmosphere, encouraging us to develop our own style while at the same time guiding us to build skills and techniques. No pressure just time to be creative at our own pace. I would highly recommend the adult classes. Thank you Gee!

Weekly teenage art lesson
My daughter has been going to a weekly art class for a few months now. She loves it and the teacher is very kind and patient. She has learnt a lot in a short space of time. I would highly recommend the classes- they are good value for money.

A relaxing way to discover your creativity …
I signed up for 4 weeks of the adult Tuesday evening sessions. It was a really fun and relaxed experience. Everyone was learning together and there did not feel any pressure to produce a masterpiece. For me, it was about exploring different art techniques and finding out about my own creativity. I loved chatting to the small group and seeing what everyone else was doing.
Janine was there to provide gentle guidance if people wanted it. I am currently travelling but I hope to return for domestic sessions on my return. I would highly recommend the adult classes and my friend and I had some fun evenings . Thank you Janine . This is a special addition to the Saltaire high street . Ange Catterick

Great holiday workshop
My daughter had a fab time at a recent holiday workshop and was really proud of what she had managed to create in the session! It was great that the children could choose the direction of their artwork whilst still working to a structured and achievable activity. The guidance from Janine was brill, and she is a super-talented and friendly teacher! Thanks very much, we will return :)

A fantastic experience.
Lilly absolutely loved the art workshop. She has been proudly holding her picture ever since she came home. Janine encouraged Lilly to experiment and made suggestions whilst giving Lilly the opportunity to make creative choices and produce a picture she is rightly proud of. Many thanks.
