Unique birthday party !
We recently celebrated my daughters 11th birthday at Artk Oxford, and it was a fantastic experience! The kids had a wonderful time painting their own tote bags, and the atmosphere was both creative and fun. The staff were friendly, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly. Highly recommended for a unique and memorable party!

Budding artist
My 12 year old has been at art-k for 3 years. She is absolutely in her element there and has found her calling in life: to become an artist. The classes are tailored to her individual ability which keeps her interested, boosts her confidence and her desire to keep going back. She loves the team…sometimes acting as a cool older sibling. She wants to pursue the GCSE on offer too…not something she would says about any other subject!

Ume and Ivy were wonderful hosts to our girls' party. They accommodated all the little changes we requested and made sure all the children had a good time.

Birthday Party at Art K Oxford (age 9)
Sophie loved her birthday party at Art K Oxford. The organisers ensured the atmosphere was relaxed and gave an appropriate level of instruction for the watercolour and multi-media drawing, whilst allowing for flexibility for free drawing. A music playlist, decorations and time for cake was given. We would recommend.

My daughter loved it and would wish to go again
The time 10.00-15.00 is very restricted for camp days and makes it difficult for parents so I haven’t signed her up again.
Also the venue could go with a bit deep cleaning

We appreciate your feedback on the studio. As a busy creative space, some paint marks are part of the artistic buzz, but we do follow a regular cleaning schedule (and deeper cleans weekly and monthly!) to keep the environment fresh and welcoming.
Our 10:00–15:00 camp hours are designed to give children a focused and inspiring experience, and we’re glad your daughter made the most of it.

Friendly environment where kids are supported to produce truly beautiful art works!
My kids absolutely love Art-K's holiday workshops. The teachers are very friendly and support them in creating something really beautiful - the sort of art work that family members actually want to hang on the wall! It's great for developing more confidence, and skills to engage in creative activities. The only downside is the price - the camps became so expensive that we are now looking for more affordable alternatives.

A wonderful craft-themed birthday party
Art-K Oxford did a wonderful birthday party for my ten-year-old daughter. The space is really bright and welcoming, and the two co-ordinators did a great job of moving the kids through their craft project while maintaining a fun, relaxed atmosphere. I was particularly impressed by the way they kept an eye on the kids who might have been feeling a bit left out and made sure they were included. Definitely recommend for a low-stress, high-fun birthday party.

Really excellent, highly recommended
My son (6 years old) loves his lessons at art-K. His teacher is fantastic and very supportive. We have seen a real improvement in both his art skills and his confidence since he started lessons. I would not hesitate to recommend art-K.

Ms Lou is very enthusiastic to teach children. All staff are nice and helpful. My son is very happy to have drawing lesson. He always enjoy it and waiting next lesson.

A disappointing experience
Website has insufficient detail on what will be offered to participants and includes no information about supervisors' qualifications. Sloppy meeting and greeting procedure and absolutely no proper handover of children at the end. 6 to 16 too wide an age range to deal with in one class. Two hours insufficient for real creativity. Mixing of children present for the week and those attending for just one session unlikely to be manageable. End products just satisfactory for 6 year old; totally inadequate for 8 year old who produced work of that standard two years ago. Very disappointing and extremely expensive.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. As we have a wide age range, we have a wide choice of projects for students to pick from. All parents are welcome into the studio at pickup to view what everyone has done. We're always supporting students' choices and help students make the most of their decision; the jellyfish that your children created we thought were very accomplished. Initially they struggled with the outline (which is to do with proportions and perspective) so we worked hard with them to improve it. They also were learning how to use the brush; we could see they learnt and improved their painting skill in the class from where they started. No matter what stage children are at, we are always positive about the specific steps they learn because building children's confidence is a key part of our Ofsted registration.
We are Ofsted registered which means child safeguarding is our number 1 priority. We know and recorded for instance that it was not the parent but the children's grandparent that dropped them off and the same individual picked them up. Whilst we asked all guardians to come in and discuss what their children had created, they did not want to and simply picked up the children. We follow every discount supported by the government; by registering with Ofsted, we can accept childcare vouchers which reduces the price by 20% and for parents on UC, up to 85% off.
