I found this package expensive, but absolutely worth it—I passed the AKT comfortably on my first attempt. This was my sole source of revision and learning because I had been out of clinical practice for most of the previous two years for personal reasons.

The team was incredibly supportive and flexible, especially when I wasn’t able to sit the exam on not one, but two occasions.

The General View videos, Clinical Crammer, and Crash 360 sessions were excellent. The Stats course was nothing short of miraculous—it finally managed to teach me statistics, something A-level maths and two degrees had never achieved. The admin section was very useful and covered areas I didn’t even know existed, though some of the content was out of date.

I didn’t really use the flashcards, so I can’t comment on those. I did try the respiratory audio file, but it was significantly out of date, so I didn’t continue with the rest. I fed this back to the team, and they confirmed updates are in progress.

Their support was consistently outstanding—they replied to questions quickly and gave genuinely helpful answers.

The practice questions were generally very good, with clear explanations for the answers. However, the scoring system didn’t function properly, so it was guesswork to know how well I was doing. The practice exams were also useful for timed preparation, though many questions were repeated from the question bank, which reduced their value. On the plus side, I liked being able to add extra time to the timer. A small frustration was that the on-screen calculator wouldn’t close once opened, so I ended up using my own.

Overall, while some areas need updating, this is a comprehensive, supportive, and high-quality package. It gave me the structure, confidence, and knowledge I needed to pass the AKT on my first attempt.

The classes were really helpful for my plab 2 preparation. The 3 Arora’s bubbles really helped me. You get access to flash cards, notes and videos that you can playback and study with. Totally recommend

I attended Aurora academy in Birmingham about 5 months before my PLAB 2 exam date in July, 2025. The course was very well organised into manageable sections that we covered everyday and by the end of the 10 day course, we had covered most of the high yield topics and some miscellaneous topics. The tutors were experienced, knowledgeable and made the exam content engaging which helped with learning and retaining information.
I particularly liked how systematic the approach was regarding procedures teaching, data gathering and management.
Overall, I learnt some useful exam skills and techniques for my exam, however I feel that the mocks could be longer, to include a few more stations which means better real time practice for PLAB candidates.
The team at Aurora academy, especially Dr Jade, their collective efforts and feedback helped me achieve success in PLAB 2. After having failed previously with the practical and mental difficulties it brings, I am grateful that I could find the right guidance and encouragement.

The classes taught me to be real, genuine and address patient's concerns fully.

I had done a lot of research about the academies for my PLAB 2 preparation as I had only one shot at taking the exam and I wanted to go to the best one. Attending Arora Academy played a pivotal role in my PLAB 2 success. Dr. Arora is an exceptional teacher who helps you build an effective framework for history-taking—one that aligns with your own style rather than relying on a robotic, script-like approach. I scored well on my data-gathering in most stations thanks to his approach!
The other tutors at the academy are also incredibly knowledgeable and great at teaching.

What stood out the most for me was the extensive hands-on practice with manikins and procedures. I was initially quite skeptical about how much practice I would actually get, but the academy far exceeded my expectations. Thanks to that, my confidence in clinical skills and procedures improved tremendously.

For an exam like PLAB2, where candidates can be tested on a wide range of content, in a number of different ways, preparation can be challenging. Arora Medical Education Ltd taught me to make a structured approach at the stations, helping me build the confidence needed to handle even the most unfamiliar scenarios that could be tested during the exam.

The Arora PLAB 2 academy is honestly all you need to ace the exam. It’s a one stop resource for everything. Dr. Aman and Dr. Pooja have curated the course wonderfully and all the tutors are amazing. The time and effort everyone puts in to prepare you and equip you with skills to handle anything that comes up in the exam is unmatched.

I had attempted the PLAB 2 exam nearly four months after passing PLAB 1, and unfortunately had not been successful. I realised after that even though I had the knowledge from my experience and from the PLAB 1 exam preparation, I had a fundamental lack of understanding of how to approach the exam (and it’s various station types), and what examiners were looking for.

I had not attended any academy/course prior, but decided to try one this time. I found the ARORA Academy by absolute chance when researching academies that offer online/UK in-person courses for PLAB 2, and initially signed up for the package that allowed access to their comprehensive flashcards and audiobook. However, it was after attending the free online webinar that I thought it would be even more valuable to do the in-person live course, as I was hoping for an opportunity to do regular practice and get honest feedback.

I had initially not planned on doing the mocks as I would only be arriving in Birmingham the day before the course started, and leaving for Manchester the day after completing the course, as my exam was a day later. However, Dr Arora contacted me prior to the course and made a plan around this to make sure I got the mocks in with his team, online and in-person. I am truly glad he did, as they were essential in boosting my overall confidence going into the course and then subsequently going into the exam.

Attending the in-person live academy was truly invaluable as not only did it solidify the approaches taught from the online videos/audiobook, but I got to practice with so many different people who were using the same approaches I was, and we were looking out for ways to improve each other because of it.
They also had so many mannequins and equipment that were in great condition and allowed for great practice opportunities that were further facilitated on a full Saturday (to rotate through hypothetical station scenarios), and half a Sunday (for additional time to practice practical procedures)

I unfortunately fell ill and lost my voice during the last days of the course and could not attend the last few days in person, but they accommodated a changeover to online attendance which was very kind. Despite not being my optimal physical health going into the exam, I can honestly say I still felt so much more relaxed and confident than the first time. This is because I knew I had a robust approach that could be tailored to any station I went into, and because Dr Arora and all of his team doing the daily sessions and mocks had reinforced an important idea throughout. Which was to not go against your natural interpersonal skills and intuition you have already developed as a doctor and to be adaptable.

Definitely not the biggest or most well-known academy. However, everyone who has been with the academy (with the right expectations) that I have either met or seen comments online from, has only had good things to say about the academy on the whole (their online content, mocks, and live course)! Through the in-person course I met so many people who had either not been successful on first/prior attempts, or went to another course prior and found it lacking or based on memorising scripts, or needed to pass on first attempt due to personal constraints. They all, like myself, had wanted an authentic, structured, up-to-date, yet non-intimidating way to approach the exam. What I only realised afterwards was that it not only did that, but also serves as preparation to function as an incoming junior doctor within the UK and NHS.
