Marrissa is very friendly. She listened to my pest problems and treated them accordingly. She said the company was out of some inside ant treatment, but she gave me a recommendation for a commercial brand.

The provider was prompt and kept me updated of arrival time. He immediately checked the traps in the attic and sprayed the exterior of the house and yard as appropriate.
This is the 3rd review I’ve submitted. Ridiculous! It’s why you have 4 instead of 5 stars. Y’all don’t check your own work IRT services. SMH

Communication is key
I appreciate getting a notification the day before my service, that way I can move away clutter and make sure the tech can get where they need to go. I double appreciate getting a text from my tech on the day of service asking if there are any specific requests or areas that I want treated. There has been only 1 service
There has been only 1 service, “the initial service provided” by Aptive! However, I have been charged for 4 services!
their Customer Service Manager “ please have management listen to my telephone call yesterday” would not credit me for the charges when Aptive did not perform the service! The Customer Service Manager would only credit me for 1 charge and offered me a $50.00
credit. This is absolutely insane. It appears Aptive wants me to pay for services that I’m not receiving! What makes this whole thing worse for me is that I can’t cancel the agreement , which I would like to do due to the poor and nonexistent service. But as you know, If I do, I will get charged $199.00!

They had one job
We continue to have ants. It's been a year. After each treatment they say it may take a couple of weeks for the ant to stop invading the house. But that hasn't happened. I hired them to do one job and they failed.
Their sales techniques are tricky. They came door to door with a nice worker saying they're already working with your neighbors. They make you sign a long term contract with a penalty to leave early. After I just signed up they used my name to convince one of my neighbors, i.e. Alan uses us and you should too.
They send text messages that they're coming and a couple of pictures after they're done. This is nice but I'm paying to get rid of the ants which they haven't done.

Basic service for not so basic price
I've been an aptive customer for over 5 years. Prices keep going up and quality is down. $140 for a basic service is not worth it. Technicians are nice but product doesn't work very well and having someone come out to re-service my home is a hassle. Everything is now an additional cost.

I have been using Aptive for a few…
I have been using Aptive for a few years now and like that the technician texts me before arriving and asks if I need any special areas treated. He is always on time and completes the work promptly and they always send pictures of the areas they completed afterwards. If I have any issues in between treatments, I can just call and request a service, and they will come out for no additional charge, and the office staff has always worked with me on an appropriate treatment plan that stays within my budget. They are a great company, and I will continue to use them for our pest control needs.

We signed up on the promise of gopher…
We signed up on the promise of gopher management. The first day they came they said oops, forgot the gopher traps, we'll just do spiders today. I said no way, come back when you can do gophers. They came back and ignored gophers (we've had a HUGE increase in incidents). They sprayed for spiders on our front porch where our strawberry bush was producing. I ate one before my wife warned me not to. We cancelled the contract. Really, failure to perform.

The actual service is wonderful, the scheduling process is a 1 star. If it was not for the great, knowledgeable technicians I would have already cancelled my service.

Poor Communication and Ineffective Service
I would not recommend Aptive based on my experience. I originally called them for an ant problem and the first visit went fine — the technician sprayed inside and outside and set some baits. However, every visit after that has made the situation worse.
The second treatment involved only spraying the outside, which actually drove the ants into my house and created a much larger infestation. Since then, I’ve had three technicians out in just one week, and each time the infestation has grown instead of improved.
What makes this worse is the lack of communication. When I called to complain, I was promised they would put notes in the system and send a team to treat it like a first visit, focusing on locating the colony and using bait. Instead, the technician who showed up had no idea why he was there, said there were no notes, and admitted he only had spray — no bait, no real plan.
Spraying alone clearly doesn’t solve an ant problem, and the repeated visits without proper treatment have only wasted my time and money. I expected a professional, knowledgeable approach, but what I got was poor communication and ineffective service.
If you’re considering using Aptive, I would strongly recommend looking at other pest control companies that know how to handle ant infestations properly.
