We rented the 51 Cathcart Road maisonette. The flat is beautiful and conveniently located, very clean and comfortable.
The communication with Nick was great until we got here. Then...crickets. Sent an email with a couple of issues (the outlets in the downstairs bedroom were not functional, we were promised linen service change etc) and never heard back. Imagine if the weather was hot or the person in the downstairs bedroom needed electric for a CPAP machine or the like. When he didn't get back to me I sent a note to Plum Guide directly. Said they would contact him and get the items sorted. Nothing.
So disappointing as otherwise this place is great. At this point we haven't heard anything from either party and I doubt if we will. Won't be using this service again.

Great staff. They were always ready to help. The place was fine. Everything turned out as expected.

I have always had a great experience with a Place Like Home. The staff has always been verey responsive and helpful, particularly after the booking. The accommodations have been excellent.

5 Sunningdale Gardens was a delightful apartment, very clean and the front garden is an oasis. Communication with Nick and aplacelikehome staff was clear and easy. Would book again.

The booking process works well, as does the service from A Place Like Home. Welcome to the apartment was welcoming and recommendations for a suitable venue for a small function was very helpful. I found out about this company through a word of mouth some years ago and I've kept coming back to them when in need of a nice place where to stay in central London.
The team is super professional, efficient and always trying to meet your requests or suggest the most suitable options.
Highly recommended and definitely will use their services again!

The apartment is very well placed in a beautiful neighborhood and a nice view to the Thames. Is comfortable, not luxury, but cozy. The service and attitude of Nick and his team are also remarkable I hope to rent it again.

Everything about this flat is great. But the mid-Mayfair location, tucked back in Market Mews is really fantastic. Cheers to A Place Like Home for their brilliant hosting and choosing the exact right name for their service.

The apartment was nice but not cleaned very well. The intercom handset was filthy and the bathrooms were never cleaned very well. I stayed 3 weeks and after the last visit the kitchen shelves were still left dusty. The carpet needs changing as it is covered in stains. Even the cushions on the sofa had stains. Location is great, there is lots of light and the 2 fans were very helpful with the heatwave.

Flexibility re booking

We stayed at Cathcart place in Chelsea. The booking process was very good - nick was always very responsive ( except once he forgot to send reviews of the property). Otherwise very easy to communicate before and during our stay.
The property is in a great location - is as described by APLH, except for the number of stairs to the property. It is on the 3rd floor. The living room and master bedroom are v spacious with lots of natural lighting. One bedroom with twin beds is also decent size. The third bedroom which required navigating box kind of stairs ( all mentioned by APLH) is small and as are the 2 bathrooms.
A couple of issues with housekeeping - the greeter came few minutes before we reached despite having been informed that our flight was on schedule etc.

The outdoor deck areas were not usable as they hadn’t been kept well - many broken slats and not cleaned either. But we were in the middle of heatwave - so outdoor wasn’t attractive from weather perspective. But needs to be repaired and cleaned well.
The kitchen had everything one needed including a washer. It was meant to be a washer /dryer but the dryer didn’t work. I think I would have given it 5 except for the minor niggles .. the flat can do with some minor upgrades.
Rest of the information was as given by Nick ( except regarding garbage collection day).

Highly recommend A Place Like Home. The flat was exactly as described and as pictured in the photos. Great flat with excellent transportation options. Nick and his team provided excellent communication and service during our month-long stay in Chelsea. We will definitely use A Place Like Home again.

8 Godwin's Court in London was a wonderful stay. Fliss met us on arrival and kindly answered all our texts during our stay. The place was well-situated, had air-conditioning, and was lovely. We thought of it as our own. I would very much like to stay there again.

(Caveat - had the grandparents come, it would have been difficult on the stairs)

We have been booking our London accommodation through A Place Like Home for over 20 years & have never been disappointed. Excellent customer service (both pre- and during), friendly & informative greeters who are always on time, and no surprises in the accommodation due to a detailed website. It was a pleasure to work with A Place like Home! Nick was very responsive to our inquiries and Katya met us at the flat, thoroughly showing us around. The location was perfect for exploring London, the theaters, and connecting to transportation. We would use this company again and have recommended them to friends.

The pre occupancy attention was superb. The greeter did not know the building had a lift, but was very helpful, and we were allowed to check-out at 12.30 pm instead of the usual hour.

Another great visit arranged by Nick and his team! Loved the Mayfair market mews property, will be looking for something next summer again :-)
