Genuine and real
Genuine and real. You don't have to fill in online forms for 20 minutes to find out you don't qualify for the study. You'll know sticky. Very professional in getting everything in place and organised.

I used them before they are very good
I used them before they are very good. But once they sent me the link of the venue , address post code was correct but the link took me to the wrong address. I had to walk 30 mins to get there

My experience is around my one hour…
My experience is around my one hour online interview with one interviewer. It had been arranged to suit both of us and I was given details about how to join
Spot on time we began and I was almost immediately at ease due to interviewer’s demeanour and style of questioning. The hour went so quickly and was so comfortable and natural, just like acquaintances having a chat, I could have chatted on with no problem
I found it a very pleasant experience and absolutely enjoyed it and recommend it.

Fun studies, great communication
I've now completed two market research studies with Angelfish (over the course of two years), and I'd absolutely recommend them. The communication is excellent, the studies and discussions themselves are interesting, and the rewards are easy to redeem. The staff I interacted with are all friendly.

First Interview Experience
This was my first interview. Extremely impressed with process right from the start to the end of the interview and the follow up emails received. Would be more than happy to have more interviews with this company and will definitely be keeping an eye out on their website. Would highly recommend.

Great communication and professional interview…
Very good communication initially with reminders a day before and an hour before.
The interview was professional and I felt I was genuinely listened to . Checking questions made sure my opinions were accurately recorded.

I have NEVER been selected, but.......
I have NEVER been selected to participate despite various personal invitations.
They ask for details and then you have to answer a very long questionnaire about the selected subject but never get selected and so not paid.
I have a feeling they get they info they need from the questionnaire and therefore don't have to pay people to participate.

We’re sorry to hear this has been your experience.
Every research project we run has very specific criteria set by the client, which can vary significantly from study to study. While we may invite people who could be a potential match, final selection depends on a precise combination of factors – many of which are outside of our control.
We’d also like to address your concern directly: we do not use screener questionnaire responses as a substitute for paid research. Screeners are used solely to confirm eligibility. The insights our clients commission come from the actual research sessions (interviews, focus groups, communities), and participants are always paid for taking part in those sessions. Using screener data alone would not meet client or industry standards, and it’s not how we operate.
Thousands of participants successfully take part in paid research with us every year, which is reflected in our wider body of reviews. That said, we do recognise that not being selected can feel disappointing, and we genuinely appreciate the time people spend applying.

All correspondence was clear and received beforehand...I even got chance to send my feedback directly to them....
Payment was promptly paid via PayPal within 10 days of the survey closing.....
I was advised at each stage too....

Great to work with
I found Angelfish really easy to work with and nothing was too much trouble for them. They arranged my interview after doing some evaluation and the gift card arrived very promptly. Would happily take part again if there was a call for an old geezer's opinion!

Awful compared to other similar platforms
Unlike other similar platforms you cannot log-in and enter your demographics. Thus, when a project appears on the 'Current Projects' page you are required to enter your demographic info for every project application. Tedious, slow and annoying.
The second big issue is the ridiculously low 'hit rate'. I've been selected for 1 project in the last 15 months. I believe I have applied for about 35. It is essentially a complete waste of your time. And yes my demographics are right for a lot of the projects I have applied for on this platform. For comparison the hit rates on similar platforms are way higher (about 15% on Respondent and User Interviews and over 30% on UserTesting).

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We would really appreciate hearing a bit more about your experience with re-entering demographic information. I have double-checked this on our side, and the demographic page should auto-fill with your saved details. It does still appear for each study so that participants can update anything that may have changed, such as a change of location etc. In addition, some screeners re-ask for age because the required age brackets can vary from study to study.
Regarding your point about the hit rate, we currently have over 40,000 community members, many of whom are keen to take part in research. Some studies only require as few as 5 participants, while others may need 100 or more. We also work within specific client quotas, so even if someone meets the criteria, demand often means that only a small proportion of applicants are successful.
I can see that you last took part in a study in April of last year, and we hope that this was a positive experience. I am sorry that your other applications have felt like a waste of time. If you would prefer to have your details removed from our database, we would of course be happy to arrange that.

Yet again!!!
Yet again, I was one of the very few "privileged" to take part in the "Angelfish Opinions" IKEA project. It was an 'in-house' visit for this project in early February 2026!
Having been part of their projects in the past, I was excited to be part of this new venture. I was not disappointed, and the various interactions with their project team were very engaging. We had some interesting discussions pertaining specifically to their project, and I must say it was all very constructive and meaningful! Thank you once again, Angelfish, for the opportunity to be part of your many ongoing projects, and I look forward to making further contributions, should I be required to do so!
