I had been considering laser eye surgery for a couple of years. Following consultations with two high street clinics, David Anderson was personally recommended to me so after some research online I booked an initial consultation. David and his team immediately put me at ease. The treatment I was suitable for was Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA). This was different to the high street chains offered treatment and alongside scans of my eyes and medical history, David explained why this was the best option for me, which made total sense compared to the high street option. I was advised that this option is the more painful treatment and that the first few days would be very painful, which was true. On the day of the procedure the nursing and theatre staff were brilliant, keeping me relaxed and David spoke to me throughout explaining what was happening and when it would happen so nothing was unexpected. After a few days the pain had subsided and I could see improvement in my vision. It’s been 5 weeks since my procedure and my vision is slowly improving week by week. In the first couple of days I was questioning why I had voluntarily agreed to this but now I have no regrets and wish I had done it sooner. Without hesitation I would recommend David Anderson.

Best service and care. I had bilateral cataract operation done. The care and support I got from Mr Anderson, his team and his secretary (Olivia) was the best. No questions was too small. Thanks to lots of relevant information prior to the operation- both written and from the consultant face to face- I was able to approach the procedure without worry or anxiety. The procedure was carried out quickly and expertly with several follow ups to re-assure me.
My only issue was that, due to my having a
general anaesthetic, a pre-assessment was needed before the operation. I was only given one day's notice and one appointment time to have the pre-assessment . This was very inconvenient,
All things considered though I would recommend the team and the venue highly.

If you need cataract or lens replacement surgery,get it done here. Mr Anderson is like a magician ! The surgery is painless and the results amazing.I now have 20/20 vision. The consultation is thorough and in a very relaxed environment .On the day of surgery the staff were very calming and informative.

I cannot recommend Anderson Eye Care highly enough! At my first appointment with Mr. Anderson he picked up that I may have Retinoschisis in my left eye and after further tests it indeed was, nobody had ever picked that up before.
I had cataracts removed and lens replacement done, my right eye first and the left one a week later. The whole process was completely painless and Mr Anderson talked me through what he was doing throughout, leaving me totally relaxed and assurance I was in good hands.
I am extremely pleased with the results and would encourage people not to hesitate it really is a game changer. No glasses needed now:)

For some people laser treatment isn't an option if you wish to no longer wear glasses or contact lenses, I was one of those people. Having gone to see Mr Anderson and after several tests found I was ineligible for laser treatment, nor was I keen on being awake while having a laser in my eye, Mr Anderson told me about ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) Surgery. This was all done under general anesthetic, I was put to sleep and next thing I knew when waking up was having full vision. Recovery was rapid, I was able to see straight away from the point I was able to open my eyes which was about an hour after Surgery, then after 2 days of rest I was back to work with no problems and ever since my eyes have been brilliant, only the odd occasional itchiness although can associate that with the hot weather of late and some halos from reflections off light. Those though I have been told will take time to reduce and go away but they don't affect my day to day activities. All in all I can certainly say that there is alternatives to laser treatment which work wonders, especially if you're terrified of getting laser because you don't like anything going into your eye and with Mr Anderson he makes sure to give the best treatment. Following the operation I was able to contact him whenever if I had any issues, there was even a time he was away to somewhere like Jersey and called me back within 20 minutes of me calling with a simple question. Could not recommended the treatment and Mr Anderson more highly than any other treatment I've ever had in my life, this was literally life changing.

Mr David Anderson and his staff are so friendly and helpful, plus all the nurses and staff at the Nuffield Wessex hospital. I could not wish for better treatment.

I was referred to Anderson Eye Care due to my Kerataconus condition and had an intracorneal ring fitted in my worst eye. Mr Anderson explained everything very clearly and the staff and procedure on the day went extremely well. Very clear instructions and close follow up. I especially liked the link back to my referring optician that continues my day to day care for the connection between the two parties. I was a very late diagnosis case, due to previous mis-diagnosis from other opticians. Earlier detection and treatment with cross-linking (an earlier option) would have improved my eyesight decades ago and stopped any deterioration. However, even now, I still had options with the ICR which has improved my current vision proven by the change in my prescription I now have.

Six weeks post Zeiss trifocal lens replacement surgery and I am extremely pleased with the result. I would go so far as to say that it has been a positive life changing experience.
I had two healthy eye lenses at the age of 54 yrs, however my presbyopia was becoming more and more annoying and basically I found wearing reading glasses for any close up activity a hindrance. After much research and contemplation I chose Dr Anderson to perform my surgery and eye care.
I cannot recommend this clinic enough, the service was 100% professional and informative. Being somewhat squeamish about eyes (as most normal people are!!) I could not have felt more confident with regard to Dr Andersons level of competence, I would totally recommend the whole team involved in my care.

Very good friendly attentive treatment throughout the experience

Eye surgery can be a daunting prospect, but the level of information, expertise and track-record available from David Anderson and his team quickly puts you in a position to make confident, comfortable decisions. Clinic environment backs this up; professional, relaxing, very pleasant and convenient. Having a hearing loss too (I wear hearing aids in both ears), my sight is particularly precious to me, and very important in every day life. My hearing aids make a big difference to my life but being able to see people's faces clearly in conversation provides the extra context and information needed for clear and easy communication. I could not see medium/long distances well at all unless wearing glasses (a nightmare with hearing aids!!) or contact lenses. After decades of trouble free contact lens wearing, the onset of menopause and older age has unfortunately meant lenses became far less comfortable. I did not like wearing glasses to exercise in, and the idea of being free of contact lenses or specs for distance use, became increasingly appealing. Because my main aim was to achieve really good, strong distance vision, I am more than happy to put reading glasses on (like most of the rest of the population my age!) for close work, which I have been doing for many years anyway if I had my contact lenses on. However, I know that Mr Anderson could have achieved a different blend of vision for me (I had Lasik Presbyond) if I had wanted to have slightly different long vision but no need to wear reading glasses. I am astounded at the possibilities of the technology, and the care and experience that David and his team show when taking an enquirer/patient through the whole process. I have just had my 4-week check (Flying Colours) and am so delighted, as my new and brilliant long vision means I can consider all sorts of new activities with an ease and confidence I have not felt before. It is also wonderful not to have the daily faff of contact lenses, which served me well for many years but more recently became a burden. The surgery and recovery ran exactly as David had explained, and I felt supported at all times. Discomfort was so minimal (with appropriate eye drops to help manage the immediate hours/days), and the recovery took far less time than I had thought it might. I am 110% pleased.

Dr Anderson and the lovely guy that does the eye testing (sorry forgot his name) and Receptionists were all fantastic. If anyone is hesitating to get eyes lasered , don't, just go for it. You are in great hands with Dr Anderson . He explains everything as he goes and it is a painless procedure. Fantastic service I am so grateful and being able to read small print without glasses is an amazing feeling.

My whole experience went well. Dr Anderson explained everything so well. No surprises. I am now very happy with my vision.

From the first consultation I was fully informed about my options and supported with my decision to have multifocal lens replacements in both eyes.
The operation was done under local anesthetic with no pain or discomfort at all. The theatre team were excellent, very friendly and reassuring.
Within three days the vision in both eyes was crystal clear, no longer any need for glasses when reading or driving.
I would highly recommend anyone considering this procedure to visit Mr Anderson and his team, it has been an amazing transformation for me and the results have exceeded my expectations.

I was referred to David Anderson by my optician for an enhancement to one eye just over a year ago. The objective was to bring the slightly myopic eye back to 20/20 while leaving my other eye slightly myopic thereby removing the need for reading glasses. The whole experience from my initial consultation to the procedure itself and the medical follow ups was faultless. David and his staff were fantastic. I knew I was in good hands from the start. The surgery itself went exactly as had been explained to me and my recovery too. I got exactly the result I expected and a year on am delighted as I approach 60 years old to be able to enjoy perfect vision, close up and from afar without the need need for reading glasses. After consultation with Mr Anderson I decided to have eyes treated for cataracts, carried out over a two week period (one eye per week). The process was straightforward every step of the procedure was explained as we went along, the whole process was completed within an hour.
I have to say I suffered no pain during or afterwards, required drops for three weeks to facilitate implementation.
A review with Mr Anderson was included to check result.
Being a contact lens wearer for some 50 years, now no longer required, driving at night no longer a problem. Eyesight now better than with lenses, for me a very worthwhile investment at 73yrs.

Eyes are precious things... David Anderson is exactly the kind of person I'm happy to entrust their care to. He is a consummate professional but totally approachable. and when my wife and I both had laser eye surgery we felt confident and relaxed in his care.

I was very nervous about having a pterygium removed from my eye however the procedure was painless and because I was given block and sedation anaesthetic I was really unaware during my time in theatre of anything going on. The staff at the Nuffield were all great and Mr Anderson himself very approachable a lovely guy. Would not hesitate to recommend.
