We booked a beautiful villa in Massa Lubrensa 12 months before travel as it was for our summer holiday 2023.
The day after taking the final payment, we had an email telling us our booking has been cancelled. No reason given. No apology, no compensation, just cancelled our summer holiday for a family of 4 with 6 weeks to go!
We are left with flights we can't use as all properties in the area are now massively overpriced.
We believe the villa owner has decided they can potentially get 4 times what we have paid for it by selling it last minute and that is the reason we have been cancelled. Totally disgraceful. Booked through VRBO in good faith. VRBO should get rid of Amore Rentals off their books as it is damaging to their reputation. We will certainly be wary of booking with VRBO again as will friends and family we have told about this issue. No apology, assistance or compensation from VRBO either. Stay away from Amore Rentals and VRBO.

This company Amore Rentals.com doesn’t care about their customers and are unprofessional. None of their representatives came to the apartment to address the issues we raised in our stay. They don’t answer their telephone calls but sending many WhatsApp promising actions that never materialised, though on the 4th day after We sent our complaint email to Expedia,then they contacted the owner who sent his girlfriend and her sister to the apt and confirmed the sitting room biggest AC was not working and the washing machine was full of mould infestation …and a technician was sent by the owner who couldn’t repair both as they need spare parts to be ordered ..
We had our full 7 days stay with no air conditioning in the sitting room where the kitchen was located too…in a very hot and humid weather…we couldn’t use the cooker because of the extra heat it generates..
The washing machine was as mentioned previously was full of mould ..TV has no English speaking channel at all…
We finished our 7 days staying in the apt with all these issues and Amore Rentals didn’t even have the courtesy to send their a representative to meet us face to face and address our complaints..
The next door neighbour has a constant barking dog which is left in the apt on its own until 2 am…very noisy and kept us awake..
The balcony where the air conditioner pipes were leaking water making the balcony floor on the fourth floor slippery and unsafe.
Finally on 28/7 and 29/7 early morning before leaving ,the water pressure was so weak ,we couldn’t have a shower before we travel back home….but before that was ok..
We didn’t report the last two issues as by this stage we were so frustrated with Amore Rentals and the actual apartment too…we just wanted to leave..
I question whether this apt in its present condition and the company management should be associated and advertised by Expedia ..
Expedia was supportive and very helpful through out the process but unfortunately Amore Rentals on the ground with a local office in Sorrento were not..
We are experienced travellers but have never come across such uncaring and unprofessional company as Amore Rentals..
AVOID USING THIS COMPANY..

the villas the places are all beautfiul but the company and service is below zero, we booked with the in april 2022 and they had the nerve to cancel our resevation on the very last moment, we booked for 2 families a villa near Sorrento, we booked with them 2 months in advance to avoid any problems and they confirmed took our money, but decided to cancel the day before we were to fly to italy, absolute discrace !! imaging trying to book something on the last day believe it will only bring you nightmares this company doesnt care about anything but money !! AMORE RENTALS IS A SCAM COMPANY they will take your money, they offered us 120 pounds as a voucher i mean the villa was 1200 pounds how is that voucher any good, Airbnb should really kick this company out its hurting its reputation. i wasnt able to give a review on Airbnb god knows why so here it is. Hope i can safe someone with this review.

Comfortable and great apartment about 15/20 blocks from Sorrento city center. Great balcony with views. No lift, only stairs, second floor. Parking space was extremely narrow and difficult to park, and only for small cars, but it's already stated in the listing. I would stay again! Thanks!
