The team are very helpful and happy when dealing with orders or issues with my doctors, as they can take 2/3 weeks to sign a prescription, the staff are on top of this do that my order is not delayed
I would highly recommend to anyone

There were a few issues when changing computer systems and when my local surgery were delaying prescriptions but have always found staff, Sharn Collins in particular, responsive to my needs.

I have been using AMCARE for just over 4 years now. So glad I changed from my old supplier.the girls and guys are always so friendly when you call to place your order.they always make time to have a bit of a chat. My orders have never been wrong. Even when they had the change with the system last year it might have taken a bit longer to get through but when you did they were as helpful as usual . I always get a telephone call from them to tell me they have my prescription and that it is being processed to be sent. They have helped me so much sending stoma nurses out to try different bags for me. . I hope all the staff have a wonderful Christmas

Amcare have continued to provide me with my ostomy supplies for well over a year now and they go out of their way to ensure I get what I need in good time and if there’s an issue I’m informed of it (well I’m lucky enough to have a dedicated person look after my account Sharn Collins) puts my mind at ease and if I need a different product they are there to get it for me! Keeps my anxiety and worries in check!! :)

Quick and easy service and response times to placing orders. Have used Amcare for 6 years now and whilst they had a period of a few issues when changing their system that seems to have been resolved and service is excellent with my products being delivered more promptly than ever

I have been using Amcare for a number of years now without any issues or problems. I get monthly calls to see if I need an order and also emails/calls if Amcare are having issues with the gp. So from a personal experience Amcare have always been there for me and I am more than Happy with there service.

I've been with Amcare for 12 years and never had any problems. It's hard to believe some of the reviews on here are for the same company as my experience is the exact opposite. Ive had nothing but friendly, caring and efficient service which is so important when you live with a stoma and need to rely on a delivery company.

Fantastic customer service. I have been with Amcare for over 30 years so that in itself tells you how much I value them. Right from the early days in 1992 when everything was new and scary they were happy to talk me through both my physical and mental issues, suggest products, give me access to a stoma nurse to help solve my sore skin problem and be a friendly listening ear. Over the years they have helped me countless times with prescriptions, emergency deliveries to my home, emergency deliveries to a different place when I was on holiday and helped me get to a place where I have exactly the right products for me. The Amcare team are always friendly, polite and helpful - even when they got the brunt of multiple customer complaints due to the computer system being changed they remained calm and professional. They are my 4th emergency service and I am very grateful to them.

Don't believe a word they say! - have been waiting for over 2 months for them to send me an email with new supplier (as they are discontinuing by bags) - promised me I would have to do nothing as they would send all details to new company, phoned and chased today as still not received info email only to be told that "no, that's not what they do". I have been given incorrect information and now basically I have to sort it all out myself! - appalling Amcare, shame on you!

Just Another rubbish home delivery service. Promise the earth but fall short on delivery. GP sent prescription 3 weeks ago and still waiting. In end had to un -nominate them thro NHS app and have the prescription sent to a local pharmacy.
I now get my prescription items sent to local pharmacy as its less stressful and you can keep control of your supplies.

My experiences with Amcare have been fantastic! The customer care team truly do care.
On a couple of occasions I'd run low on my supplies, posing a problem for me. The first time wasn't as urgent, and they were able to send out a small pack immediately to get me by.
The second time, which prompted this review, was exceptional. I was low, very urgently low, on my supply.
They were able to send out a pack that evening with a member of staff to drop off at my home, guaranteeing I wouldn't run out!
I can't thank Aaron & Sue enough for helping, and more importantly, caring so much that you go out of your way in your own time to help.

I have been with Amcare 6 years. Recently I have dealt with insensitive staff and unreliable, but this week was told I was only allowed 2 bags of dry wipes per month. Spoke with Stoma nurse.
Ive been recommended to Coloplast Charter. If you go on the Facebook Stoma forums, most people use Charter. Fellow Stoma users, change if you can. X

This is the first time I have read the reviews..thought it was just me who was having major issues with this company!
I have had my Stoma now for 12 years..I have used Amcare all of this time. I live in Scotland and I always spike to the lovely team in Stirling. Since the Pandemic began I have been unable to contact Stirling, so assume this has all been redirected to England.
Well where do I start!! Every month is the same, having to continually call to see where my prescription is. They say leave yourself 2 weeks supply, which I have always done. If I ran short, the ladies in Stirling would post out enough to last until I got my prescription..
Now this month..has been the worst yet! I called on 10th January to order I didn't receive my order after 2 weeks. I called to check with my GP and they informed me the last prescription was requested in the beginning of December! I was somewhat confused as the lady from Amcare said she was emailing it while I was on the phone. I then called Amcare and they advised they gad not requested it as yet! We are now upto 27th of January!
I advised I was now pannicking as I am running short of products and could not function without them!
They assured Mr they would contact my GP by email and call.
We are now on 6th Feb..and as yet despite my GP having sent the prescription, I have still not received anything from Amcare! I called them after calling my surgery this morning..and I had a somewhat distressed call to them asking where my prescription is and could they please send out an emergency pack of everything today! The call handler said he couldn't do this until he spoke with his manager incase the prescription hadn't arrived. Well..I am usually a very polite person..but today I absolutely was not!..I asked the call handler if he or his managers actually knew how important it is to our everyday lives to have these products? In fact we couldn't function..I couldn't go to work, go even out my house and would have to sit with a carrier bag taped to my Stoma! I advised him because they have not attempted to get my prescription I am now using Kitchen roll and dog poo bags. I asked if he thought this was dignified..? The caller asked me how many bags I had left! I really couldn't speak anymore because of temper! I advised they get me my products sent asap! I'm asking for vital products so I can function and they can't send them asap! What am I going to do ? Sell them? They will obviously get my prescription.
So another day and no supplies.
This will be the last time they get my custom.
The stress is too much.
Do Not Go with this poor excuse for a supplier!

Absolutely shocking service no empathy what so ever for the customer. The last 6 months have been a nightmare for me wrong orders being sent being left with no supplies. My last order was placed on the 7th Dec still not received full order Jan 13th always blaming the GP not getting prescriptions, yet don’t feel it’s important to contact customer about delays ! I had a brilliant service when it was BCA how has it gone so wrong I’m looking for a new supplier and suggest you do too.

I got my first stoma in 2012 and because there was a connection with the hospital I was put in touch with BCA in the North East Since the I have moved around the country quite a lot and never had any problems with supplies. I have even been helped out iwith emergency supplies. Then in the summer of 2021 everything changed. Gone is the instant friendly answer with a North East accent. Now a wait of some 30 minutes. No opportunity to ask for any extras; was told I was only allowed 1 pack of black bags per order. Today an order arrived. One box of pouches not 3 as prescribed by my GP and no wipes or bags. I have been approached by another company to supply me on 2 occasions and said "No" thinking about the lovely ladies in South Shields and their jobs. Please sort your system out before you have no business left.

Ordered monthly consignment from Amcare on 17/12/2021. It is now 30/12/2021 and nothing has been delivered. Tried 3 different phone numbers but each without success. 2 lines were dead and one unobtainable.
I have been with Amcare since my operation in 2001.
Up to a few months ago I had nothing but praise for this company but this is now negated because of their extremely poor service.
Now I cannot risk placing my orders with Amcare anymore and I will be looking for an alternative supplier. Extremely disappointed.
