Item turns up on time but with no outer packaging to protect it from the transit from journey and already opened. Box in a bit of a state really!

Didn’t state it was used on the website! Open everything up and install the machine and it doesn’t work, the pump doesn’t seem to let out any air. Really disappointed, was definitely a mistake to order this through this website just to save a bit of money- wish i had listened to the reviews.

Anyway I’ve contacted them and have yet to hear back to get a refund.

What a dreadful company to deal with! Ordered a Karcher pressure washer - these guys issue a shipping tracking reference to make it look like they have shipped - a week later still not shipped and every contact by email and online totally ignored. I concluded that they probably had no stock - reading other reviews I reckon it is a hit or miss whether you receive your order -if you are reading this and are deciding whether or not to order, my advice would be to save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. If you do decide to go ahead, pay with PayPal who give the protection you need and who I relied upon to issue a refund when I escalated the case with them - thank goodness.

Just have received my coffee machine "De'Longhi EC685.W Dedica Style Pump Espresso, Metal, 1350 W, 1 Litre, White". I am so happy. Price was £142, including delivery by UPS. The same product on amazon uk is £210 and on PC Currys they dont even have white model.

Everything worked perfectly.

Such an unprofessional company with no respect to the customer.

Ordered a few items on 1/5/2020 and paid for them at the same day. After waiting for 12 days for the items to be shipped I got a message from your company that you need extra money. And when I declined this request, you found another excuse: That the product is at the End Of Life. When at the same time the product is still available normally for ordering at your website.

Is this how you treat all your customers?

Bought a hot tub from them for the same price as the uk but just couldn’t get one here without paying double on eBay as I wanted a particular type. Communication was excellent via Facebook messenger as I did worry a little as I’d spent so much money.
Item arrived a few days later than expected but I did forget it was bank holiday.
No complaints from me about the company!

Poor communication and customer service. My goods arrived seven weeks after placing an order. During this time I tried communicating with the company by email, phone and through their website, but I got no feedback. I'm happy I got my goods eventually, but there was too much grief involved adn I don't think I will use this company in the future.

I was apprehensive with purchasing from Alternate because of the bad reviews on here, however i took the chance using paypal for some protection and purchased an Asus ROG terminal. I was fully aware they were based in Germany but don't see this an issue as I regularly order items from abroad.

I cannot fault the service i received from Alternate, regular email updates on the status of my order were provided and within 48 hours I've received my item. I've had UK companies taking more than a week during this pandemic.

I would definitely consider using Alternate again, I'm more than happy with the service i've received.

I ordered some G.Skill DDR4 RAM from Alternate's UK site in December. The actual ordering and shipping process was no problem, but when the RAM arrived it was clearly used and not even in its original retail packaging. They'd simply put it in a plain black box (with no sort of protection to stop the RAM rattling around during transit) and sealed it with brown parcel tape. Worse, there were several marks on the RAM sticks themselves, indicating that they'd been previously used. They also had a manufacturing date of December 2017, and I've never previously bought brand new RAM and it to have had a two year old date of manufacture on it.

Needless to say, there was no mention of any of this on their site and the product was advertised as brand new. When I contacted them about a return, they agreed, but refused to pay for return shipping. That's return shipping to Germany, incidentally, despite their "UK" website. I ended up having to claim with Paypal's return shipping service for the £15.94 it cost. They then only refunded me for the item itself and not the original shipping cost, meaning I've now had to open a dispute with Paypal to recover that extra £9.90. Fortunately, I thought to take photos of the item and the state it was in before I sent it back.

My advice would be to steer well clear. Don't be tempted to save a few quid by buying from them if the item is available from an actual UK site. They ship from Germany and require items to be returned to Germany, and their customer service is slow and unhelpful. That's before you even get into them shipping used, repackaged items as new, which is a disgraceful practice. One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

Well, while the item came in fine company policies sucks.. Bought an RTX 2070 super from them should came in with a game code for Wolfstein and Control. Asked to why there's no code and replied that it is only applicable for Germany but surely they are Germans, item came from Germany and emails are German. Only thinkg making me keep this item is its hard to find these specific model available in local Uk stores.

I have just purchased a Makit DUX60Z from them, The reason being they are about £50 cheaper than anyone else! Even though the tool was coming from Germany this does not worry me as I have often found that you can receive goods from there just as quick or quicker than from UK based suppliers. I ordered it on Monday and received it from Germany on Thursday of the same week via UPS I am very pleased with not only the service I received but the item itself. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

An excellent service. Answered my queries promptly before purchase. The price was extremely good value. Delivery was free and the item arrived by courier on time - in fact on the first day of the stated delivery 'window'. It did not include (as it should have done) a UK adapter but when this was pointed out I was promptly compensated. The language on the order and invoice documentation was a bit quirky but only because it was a translation of the german T&C etc.
I do not understand all the negative reviews - I suspect a lot are because people did not realise that items are shipped from Germany.

I saw the reviews and wasn't really expecting anything to arrive, but I ordered some RAM and it's currently in my new PC working great (tried the user benchmark software and it said my sticks were in the top 92% of similar sticks). The box had some extra bits on it, could have been on display or something, but for the price I'm not gonna complain about the box.

I can't vouch for receiving bigger items with more parts, but the company is actually legit, worth trying if you're getting a small item that's considerably cheaper here than elsewhere.

Stated to include UK plug in notes, also the advert stated that a UK conversion plug was included which is by law mandatory for a retailer to include, unfortunately i thought i would take a gamble on this company after reading such poor reviews, going to e-mail them and attempt to work this out but very much doubt it after reading trust pilot.

Just a warning to all, this is not a good company and I would imagine it will not be alive for much longer after showing such willingness to break the law

I have ordered my items on 03.07.2018 and today is 01.08.2018.
A month!! A month they are sending me emails with delay notifications: "The date-of-delivery given by the manufacturer / pre-supplier is ..."

I have received 6 emails with promises of delivery in the next few days, and instead of delivery I'm getting another promise.
Even asked me to cancel one item from my order which was causing the delay, so they can deliver all the rest. See emails below:

"We will receive a new supply of nearly all items on 13.07.2018.
The only item which will arrive later is the article 1SO3IS0X Steinbach Quickt. Streif pH-W/frei Chlor. It should arrive on 27.07.2018
If you do not like to wait longer, I recommend to delete that item."
me:
"Please delete the item "SO3IS0X Steinbach Quickt. Streif pH-W/frei Chlor" from my order."
they:
"Dear customer,
I have deleted that missing reference.
We will refund the difference to your Paypal account."

So... today is the 1st of August... and still not dispatched.
And now they are not replying to my emails, just sending new ones with new delivery dates...

The order contains a swimming pool filter and water treatment chemicals which I needed 3 weeks ago. Now, because of them, I need to waste 4000 litres of water as it has became green without being filtered and treated.

PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE...

After seeing the reviews of this company on Trustpilot, I was unsure whether or not to order from them, but I'm glad I did!

I ordered two sticks of PC DDR4 3200 (CL14) memory, they sent the correct product, and were the cheapest on the net, beating Amazon by £30 (reduced to £20 after delivery charges). I ordered on Saturday, and received today (Wednesday), with full UPS tracking on the next so I could see my orders progress.

Also, its clear from the website this is a German Co. Its not hidden. Click "contact us" on their website & it clearly shows a German address. But that's not an issue for me, as I'm not a Brexit fanatic and EU consumer protection laws protect just the same whether I buy from a British or Germany company (or French or Spanish or whatever). In fact, Alternate even beat a British company sending another PC part ordered at exactly the same (from S. Yorkshire to London), doing Germany to London at least a day before the British computer company (expected tomorrow), who aren't using UPS and don't have proper tracking.

Would I buy from Alternate again, heck yes!

Placed a order at Alternate. They send me The wrong package while I needed mine for a birthday. I call them and they say I can send it back, and when I send the sendingconformation they will send my package to me. I do all the extra work, now they want to wait to check my return package because maybe it is empty... they make a huge mistake and i have to do all the extra work, 0 customer service from Alternate. I can recommend to never order at this company, especially when you need it fast. I am already waiting for a week now.

thought i was ordering from a uk company,they are german. ordered a makita leaf blower thats not yet arrived,comes 17/5/18 advertised at 600w,assuming its going to be 240v. so this is the problem,didnt know it was coming from germany untill they shipped it 3 days ago. would never buy a power tool from abroard. so i e-mailed them to ask is this a 240v ??. the e-mail i got back from them states , it comes with eu plug fitting(usless in the uk) and its 500w not 600 as advertised,so they told me they can send a plug to me and i will have to change it , but here's the kicker !, they dont even know it its 110v or 240v, and i should check when it comes(not happy at all). so its going to be 110v. all ready e-mailed them saying i want my £ back,so lets see how they respond. got a bad felling i have been conned, they advertise as alternate.uk and they are from germany. and they havent got a clue as to what voltage the machine is. save yourself the greif and buy from a british company. it might say iam from america,the company i work for is american,but i live and work in the northwest of england (warrington actually). DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OF THIS COMPANY,YOU WILL REGRET IT .1/6/18 the machine was not deliverd and they have kept the money, this company are basically lying theives.

All business in the UK have period where you return a product that isn’t suitable. But alternate will give a couple of days or none. So if the product you bought isn’t working it not their problem. We very good supermarket that have all the products and customer service we need. Why do business with company?
