I’m sharing this review to protect other families from the nightmare my mother, my sister, and I endured. Do not book with Al Raheem Travel Company. They are dishonest, manipulative, and exploitative, and when called out, they will try to silence you.

We trusted them with one of the most important spiritual journeys of our lives, Umrah. This Ummrah was my college graduation and my sister’s high school graduation gift. This money for the trip was saved over the course of 3 years. They advertised a fully guided group experience with accommodations, transportation, and 24/7 support. We received none of that.

When we arrived in Medina, there was no group, no guide, and no hotel booked. We landed late at night with no contact from the company and no place to go. My mom, my sister, and I, three women alone in a foreign country, were forced to walk the streets until midnight, going hotel to hotel, only to find everything fully booked. The stress and panic we felt is something I’ll never forget. We genuinely thought we were going to have to sleep in the streets. Eventually, we found a room, but it cost $400 a night in cash, and we had to pay ourselves. They never reimbursed us, even after saying they would.

Other issues stacked up: they booked flights with 9-hour layovers, forcing us to pay $150 per person for a lounge to rest in. On the way home, they sent us to the airport eight hours early just to avoid paying for the fourth night of a hotel, a night we had already paid for. We also had to pay $900 out of pocket to rebook a flight we missed due to their mismanagement.

But what made this even worse was what happened after we posted our honest reviews.

They began spam calling my mom repeatedly, demanding she delete the reviews before they would “consider” sending any money. They offered to reimburse only if we took them down. They even said they would send half the money first, but never did. We have proof and screenshots of these conversations. My mom was told over and over again to delete the reviews, and when she finally stood her ground and said we would be seeking legal action, they blocked her and cut all communication. No apology. No resolution. Just silence.

Let me be clear: this goes beyond bad service. This is theft, deception, and an attempt to coerce and silence us in violation of our First Amendment rights. They tried to use our own money, which we were owed, to force us into silence. That is not only un-Islamic and immoral, but illegal.

This trip was meant to be a sacred and meaningful experience. Instead, it became a traumatic and exhausting ordeal that drained us mentally, physically, and financially.

Al Raheem Travel Company cannot be trusted. They will leave you stranded, take your money, and then try to bully you into silence. We will be pursuing legal action, and we will not stop until they are held accountable.

Do NOT Trust Al Rahim Travel for Umrah or Hajj

I’m writing this review to warn others not to fall into the same trap we did with Al Rahim Travel Company. My mom, my sister, and I went for Umrah in December, and it turned out to be the worst travel experience of our lives.

What was meant to be a peaceful and spiritual journey became a complete nightmare. Like many others, we were misled by their low prices and polished ads, only to find ourselves paying double by the end of the trip. Despite paying for our hotel in full before departure, there was no reservation when we arrived. After hours of stress and confusion, a hotel was finally arranged—but only after we paid out of pocket again. We were promised a refund, but over six months later, we are still waiting, still calling, still being ignored.

We had seen a few negative reviews before booking, but Al Rahim Travel had explanations, claiming the issues were small and already resolved. That couldn’t be further from the truth. In our case, nothing was resolved, and we’ve received no support, no refund, and no accountability.

The emotional and physical toll this trip took on our family was immense. My older sister got sick there and my mother became sick on the way back, from the stress, and we all returned home drained, disappointed, and heartbroken. Especially, after long hours of connection between the flights  and sending us hours early to the airport in an effort to cut costs at our expense.

This experience was a disgrace, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Do NOT trust Al Rahim Travel with your Hajj or Umrah. These journeys are sacred and should be handled with care, respect, and professionalism. Al Rahim Travel failed on every level. No one deserves to go through what we experienced

My friend had a poor experience and was disappointed with their service.

Worst agency ever! Was my first umra trip and they They tricked me in believing they booked me 5 star hotels they lied the hotels were nasty and dirty and when I told them this they said "what 5 star in USA is different then 5 star overseas" I lost a lot of money I had to rebook my own hotels and leave the nasty ones they booked me! They also said they would reimburse me my money I have screen shots of our messages if anyone wants to see it! They never gave me any money! I also have pictures of the hotel they booked me and screenshots of the hotel they told me they were going to book me! They lied about everything DO NOT BOOK WITH THEN THEY ARE A SCAM AND ARE NOT AFRAID OF ALLAH SWT !

We have completed our Umrah Journey through Alraheem Travel Agency, It was such fantastic tour and Alraheem Travel agency helped us find the right Hotel close to Haram both Madina and Mecca. Ibrahim Bhia is a such a nice and great person who always there for answering questions or any issue. he was there from word to go till last day. Jazakallah Khair Ibrahim Bhia make our umrah Journey Memorable and Great. I would definitly recomend Al Rahim Travel agency for everyone to travel with. Very trustfull and Honest people. It was an Amazing tour with Al Raheem Travels. I went with my Family of 9 persons they provided us everything that they committed. Hotels were Clocktower in Makkah and Anwar Al Madinah In Madinah. Thank you for your 24/7 support and services it was a great experience and my Family is really happy. Transportation was awesome and really nice drivers. Special Thanks to Brother Huzaifa, He was the persons who took care of my trip.

Their Saudi Team and meet and greet was very generous. Really they are very professional and always supported us at every point we faced a 10 minutes delay in getting hotel check in but their Saudi Team arrived in a couple of minutes and resolved the issue.

Insha-ALLAH we will book again with this company and nice company to travel with.

Worst experience ever. They ruined our whole trip.They will take the full amount of money before you go but will not give you enough service. Once you pay that’s it you will get stuck. They are not scared of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. They cheated with us.Our umrah trip became our worst nightmare.
We leave our complaints to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. Allah will take care them.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Alraheem Travels, and we feel compelled to share our ordeal so that others, especially first-time Umrah travelers, can avoid this nightmare.
1. Broken Promises on Hotels: We booked and paid for luxury 5-star hotels four months in advance, as promised by Alraheem Travels. However, just five days before our trip, they informed us that the promised hotels were no longer available. With such short notice, we had no choice but to stick with them, as it was impossible to make alternative arrangements.
2. Payment Issues: Initially, they assured us that we could pay via credit card, but later demanded payment through Zelle. This was incredibly unprofessional and inconvenient.
3. Lack of Preparation: As first-time Umrah pilgrims, we were promised webinars and preparation sessions to guide us through the journey. These never happened, leaving us completely unprepared for what to expect during such an important trip.
4. Hidden Charges and Overpricing: They charged us an extra $350 on top of the $500 we had already paid for transport and logistics, claiming this was for visas. We later found out that the visa fee for US visa holders is only $80. This blatant overcharging felt like a scam.
5. Disorganization and Poor Planning: Their team was incredibly unorganized. They didn’t know key details such as when we would perform Umrah or when we were traveling from Madinah to Makkah. On the day we were supposed to travel to Makkah, they informed us they couldn’t provide transport, despite having provided us a schedule beforehand. We had to reach out to their parent travel partner in Saudi Arabia, Muhabiya Travels, to get clarity.

Overall, this was a horrible experience. Alraheem Travels caused us unnecessary stress and ruined what was supposed to be a spiritual and meaningful journey. This review is an honest account of our experience in the hopes that others, especially first-timers, avoid being scammed by them.

Almost ruined me and my father’s umrah experience. Promised 5 star hotel in Medina but instead had us in the worst possible hotel imaginable, there was mold in bathrooms, cobwebs all over the place, each time we left the room with a cough because of how dirty it was. He put us in a room with another person in the group who payed for the room HIMSELF! . The “Tour guide” he gave us barely spoke English and didn’t explain much of what he was driving past. The Umrah tour guide also was struggling to communicate with the group to help guide us through Umrah. Getting us the 5 star hotel in Mecca doesn’t wash away the mess surrounding the trip. I understand we booked last minute but for so much things to go wrong that made no sense us. My cousin booked with them next, the guy who runs this sent my cousin a screenshot of me saying “I like this hotel” from our WhatsApp convo. It was when he asked me about second hotel in Mecca to make it seem like I was fine with everything. Scam Artist

If i can give a minus star i would do it!! Completely fraud and scam! Booked with them @ibraheem. Nothing as the confirmed hotels. The hotel changed from Dar Al iman to “Saja” which is a long walk to haram, i paid for double room and i found out i am in quadruple room, promised breakfast but there is non. We just had an umrah with alraheem travels.they are a scam for the following reasons: 1: changes in the flights that were blamed by alraheem travel on the airlines ,the changes were originated from the travel agency and we were not informed of the changes till halfway in the trip . They put us in 10hours layover in ny with 2 kids 2: we were bussed 3 times from jaddah to madina (4hours) then from madina to Mecca (6hrs), then from Mecca to madina (4hrs) no body makes umrah will make this except one time . . 3.Every time we have transportation,we have to call for hours try to figure out when and where is our transportation. 4:in madina hotel ,there was no breakfast included we end up paying 500 SR we contacted them to solve the problem they did not after promising us and it was written in the contract . One more thing we payed for 8 nights we end up stay for only 6 night we loose our entire time in roads and airports and layovers. They turn our journey to our umrah to nightmare from the biggining to the end travel is a scam my advice please think twice and don’t travel with them I don’t want anybody else to have that bad experience. Ikhlaq is trying to be nice and he will agree on everything you want at the biggining but he will do what will be beneficial to his company and putting more money in their pockets what kink of job he has he is lying on people going to umrah which means going to allah and complain to him about his lies .

I made the decision to travel to Umrah with my family and children using this business called "Alraheemtravels". They treat you like no one else does when you contact them, demand payment, and then vanish until a few days into your trip to give you an explanation. Upon arrival, we discovered that our hotel reservation in Madinah had been missed. Instead of three days, they reserved four. After spending a lengthy day on the phone to resolve it, they kept the return to themselves. Guess what? They asked me to purchase ihram dresses from the marketplace, which cost me $50 per person, despite their commitment to give them. I spoke with the transportation business to request that their drivers be clean and odor-free since, although the transportation was nice, the driver smelled awful. When my children and I arrived at the Makkah Hotel, the worst happened. Instead of a quad room for four people, they reserved a room for two. They forced me to check in and purchase expensive extra beds, then vanished without giving me a refund.

I came across the Al-rahim travel umrah package online and I couldn’t believe the price they were offering. I then contacted and later settled the Umrah package for the first time on the phone. I was guided and was in touch with Al-Rahim Travel until I boarded the flight at every airport or transport vehicle until I reached my room at the hotel. This contact made my trip very comfortable and stress free. As far as the standard of hotels near Masjid Nabawi and Haram Sharif as well as the breakfast was concerned, it was excellent and of high standard. Then we were given a pilgrimage tour by Al Rahim Travel to Madinah and Makkah, that too was amazing and relaxing. It was the best Umrah tour of my life. Yes, some people did not clean the rooms or the bus did not arrive on time, etc. I think it is completely excessive to put such small things on the Rahim travel. I give 100% credit to Raheem Travel for such a comfortable tour. I hope that he will keep this standard for the future as well.

Our experience with Al Raheem Travel Agency was nothing short of a nightmare.Al Raheem travels promised us 5 star hotels, and when we got there, it was 2 stars.
They are scammers. After getting payments they keep charging your card until you block or lock the cards. They can't even reply after getting payments and provide you worst services.
Be aware of them, they are a scammer a specially their employee "Ikhlaq".

There is no option of a zero star to give to this scam agent. They charged my family for a five star and failed to meet their promises. They don’t bother in replying to your concerns once they have taken a high amount from you. They should be ashamed and banned instead of being regretful they threat you to publicly shame them and they will remove your comments so they can make more fools.
A big NO to this agency.

They are doing same with everyone so they have a standard reply for everyone.
