I was concerned that a manager at a previous job may be willing to share negative information with outsiders. After checking reviews on several different reference checking services, I chose Allison and Taylor. The reference report was completed and sent to me within three business days.

The report's comments section specifically mentioned the names of people Allison and Taylor spoke with at my prior job. This section also mentioned the types of information that were being extracted from HR. I now feel confident that this particular reference won't be an issue going forward.

If you have any concerns regarding past employers, I would highly recommend this service. They do what they say will do -- and with a sense of urgency.

I highly recommend Allison & Taylor to attain an employment reference. I was impressed with the professionalism, the notes taken along with the questions asked by the impersonator. The caller attained the information needed to prove the references given by my manager were false and misleading. The caller validated through her questions that the manager, a workplace bully and responsible for creating a hostile environment, proved I was her target and she was truly harassing me. I encourage you to use Allison & Taylor for your reference needs. A written report was promptly emailed to me and my attorney loved it!

My experience with Allison & Taylor could not have been better. When I initially left a voicemail, Jeff Shane (the company President) called me back personally, and Liz, who did my 1st reference check, was equally helpful. After my 1st reference check went well, I ordered a 2nd, and it really is the best money I ever spent. Just knowing the details about what my former boss & other ex-colleagues would say about me meant the difference between listing them on my reference-sheet, versus omitting their names and sending up a big red flag. I rarely write reviews (good or bad), but since Allison & Taylor actually helped me, I have no problem doing so. I only wish the other online services I have to deal with were equally helpful and efficient.

Satisfactory experience overall. I had no issues. They did everything they possibly could to reach my reference. When they couldn't, they reached out to me and to the HR department. I had a job whereby my work and performance was strong but a company take over left me with a brutal ending to my time and position there. This left me with the question as to whether or not I was getting a fair and honest reference.
This process was easy to sign up for, complete and I found the cost to be reasonable. I was satisfied with the report completion time and liked that I got a copy of the questions and answers for my records.

I still do not have an answer as to what is happening with my current employment situation, but thanks to Allison & Taylor, I have at least 2 things that I can cross off my list (a former employer, and proof of a clear background). I still have a lot of leg-work to do to solve this issue, but I would like to thank Allison & Taylor for taking those initial first steps with me.

Personally, I would recommend that everyone use the services of checking former employers whether there is an issue or not, simply to let ALL employers know that they are not any kind of authority and that we are all on EQUAL footing. This would put an end to workplace bullying/violence/bad-mouthing because, without employees, they have nothing. They must be reminded of this.

I am very much satisfied with your service and will use again when needed and definitely recommend if anyone I know needs such help.

I also wanted to find out if your service include how to check if an employee wanted to know what kind of feedback i being given about the employee by the employer - not a specific person. For example, if the potential employer, might try to reach out to the past employer even before asking the employee for for a specific reference. I was looking for such an option in your menu but did not find one.

My rep at Allison & Taylor (Liz Henry) really went above and beyond to help me with my case. She spent a good amount of time on the phone with me explaining the ins and outs of references from the employer's perspective, what's normal and what's not, and what the results of my reference check meant for my job search, as well as answering my many questions. I had been assuming that someone would just recite the results of the reference check to me, but instead, I felt like she was truly on my team and was going out of her way to give me what I needed to succeed in my job search. In my case, the reference turned out to not be a problem, and I learned a lot about the reference process as a whole. Absolutely worth the money, will definitely use this company again if I ever have questions about a reference.
