Ella from the Aylesbury office is a knowledgable, competent and reliable Property Manager. I would recommend her to any potential landlord.

They have managed my property for over 10 years. I recently decided to sell and again they took care of everything for me and made the transaction and process as smooth as possible.

I would highly recommend them to friends and family and will always use them again in the future.

After Alexander and Co had helped us to find my Mum an assisted living space to move into, it was time to sell her property. I decided to go with A & Co and it was 100% the right decision. The property went on the market just after Christmas - we received a firm offer 7 days later. Throughout the process I found EVERYONE in the office to be courteous, professional and thoughtful. I’d like to thank everyone on this platform for making what could have been a taxing time an extremely smooth process

One of the worst estate agents out there. Sold me a property clearly sold as 'Freehold'. Only once I was around £2.5k in with fee's, solicitor costs, searches and surveys did i then get told it was actually a share of freehold properly. and came with extra costs. Way past the date to pull out and was to invested in (turns out they held this vital info back deliberately)..... When you talk to them they just try and wriggle out - to this day didnt get a formal apology. Wouldn't buy a house through them again - ALL BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!

My 21 year old son wanted to purchase his first home - a penthouse! From beginning to end he was treated with respect and was taken seriously. Their dedicated sales progressor - Lyndon was the go-between our solicitors and mortgage people and we got there in the end. This purchase came with a lot of stress due to the fire certificate and Matt spoke me down on many occasion and kept me calm with his reassurance. We have now completed and he is still available & willing to assist with after sales questions. Thank you!

Alexanders advertised the house I purchased as having a 'Newly refitted kitchen' Ha Ha - it looked good with the newly covered doors but inside was bare walls and bowing shelves. The oven barely worked and stunk. Does Alexanders not comply with the Unfair Trading regulations of 2008!

Had a problem with boiler, let Amber Blower know and engineer was here next day to fix it.She was able to help arrange for someone to come out on a Saturday.Great experience, fantastic service. Thank you.

I don’t understand how companies like that still working

So we used this agency as they got some tenants and gave this big speech they are the biggest blah blah. If you use them you will suffer the worst nightmare.

1. they got us two kids for tenants and their income was based on projected incomes.
2. The kids after a very short while fell under the ability to pay and vacated the premises without a deed of surrender or notifying the landlord.
3. Anytime there was an issue. The agency would find someone and double the price of the work. We were able to find people in 5mins who did everything for less than half of any quotes given by them.
4. Their invoices would always have charges that were unexplained. When we asked about them, they would say we'll get back to you and never would, and they were not small charges they were always between 300-500£.
5. They let the tenants out of the house with a deed of surrender and a fee was to be paid to do so. They never collected the fee and allowed them to leave. So they were now not paying rent for months they were liable for and the agency did nothing, seemed intentional.(lawyer is likely needed)
6. The bills were also not paid as the agency didnt bother to check on exit this was done.

All together they currently owe 7k possibly more. This was transpired in a very short period of time.
They also have an illegal clause in their agreement confirmed by other agencies, that should you try to leave them. They will charge you 1 months rent plus vat. I spoke to a lawyer and its definitely illegal.

A lawyer will likely need to be involved to deal with all of this but i felt nobody else should have to endure this. DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY. They are pure evil and lie after lie after lie.

A few years back we had various issues with a properties we were renting in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire and both local Alexander & Co Estate agents were next to useless. Failing to inform us of several prior problems on one property to failing to protect us from the landlord when repairs were bodged or simply not done. Shockingly poor.

All the agents at Alexander and Co is just ignored me as a buyer and never updated on the property that I'm trying to buy.I have been in this situation for almost 4 months and nothing new every time I call I get the same reply(we will call you back) and that never happens. I regret dealing with this agency cos it is just a waste of time. I don't even recommend it to any potential buyer.

Ella Thornton has been an absolute pleasure to deal with.

She has been thoroughly professional, and has assisted us through the process of having to vacate the property at short notice.

Overall Alexander & Co have been a great agent for the 7.5 years we have rented through them.

Thoroughly recommend if you want to rent a property.

Had a horrible experience with this company as a tenant . I will not buy my own house with this company in the future . Not professional at all , only money hungry.

I have really good experience with that agency. Specially with costumer service. Mary help me and my girflend a lot. Everythink was clear and understand for us. We didnt have to wait long time for moving to our new house. Thank you for your help Mary.

I’ve had the unfortunate need to communicate with Alexander’s over several properties over the years and in each instance my enquiries have been dealt with the most unprofessional and snobbish attitude by their office staff. In fact, if I could rate them zero stars, I would. I find Eleanor, in particular, with her pretentious attitude forgets that her job is to sell houses and I don’t think it’s their place to question my affordability or if I have the ability to make sole decisions on behalf of myself and my partner Just because myself and my partner choose not to flash our wealth around, it doesn’t mean we cannot afford to buy any house they list, in cash. Which incidentally we can. I don’t think it’s right when every staff member I have encountered has such an unprofessional attitude, that it leaves one with a sense of dread when you see a house listed that is of interest that is unfortunately accompanied by their logo. I doubt my review, or the others I have read with a similar tone will have much effect on this company but I live in hope!

We viewed a property for sale and was met by Linda. Her customer service was fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. She made the viewing a delight. 10/10

I have been renting out my Aylesbury Property through Alexander & Co's Aylesbury office for many years, and I continue to be completely happy and impressed with their service. In particular, my new Letting Manager, Amber, is truly top class: always totally professional, completely reliable, ready to put herself out to support me, and a most pleasant individual as well. A great addition to a great team, and I look forward to working with her and with the Aylesbury office for many years to come.

Myself and my husband viewed a property today through Alexander & Co, Aylesbury. Upon viewing the property, we met with a lady called Linda who was incredible !! She was so professional, with such a warm caring personality. Made us feel at such ease. We also dealt with Matt the sales manager who was amazing, giving us time and answering any questions we had in such a polite professional manner. Fantastic agency, highly recommend !!

Went to hand back keys and show them some photos of holes we had been asked to fill following taking curtains down and was told in no uncertain terms that they were not interested in what we had done and didn’t want to look. Following the inspection they raised the issue, amongst other things that the windows were not cleaned. Said we were more than happy to go back in when she raised her voice and told us we were never going to set foot in the property again and that they had the deposit and would do what they wanted. I then queried the fact they said that a fridge freezer was not inspected as they couldn’t find it. As there was never one in the property I asked what they meant. At this point she raised her voice again and told me she was done with the conversation so I said ok we will leave when she started to shout at us as we left. My response was you can’t tell me you are done with a conversation and then expect me to not leave. There was a child shouting and running around the office while I was trying to have this conversation. I believe he was with one of the other staff who made no attempt to get him to be a bit quieter while they had a customer. Very unprofessional. Just want your money and report to the property owners that you are aggressive to them. I would never recommend that anyone rent from them or use them as a letting agent.
