Good Morning Ewan,
We believe it is important to provide context to this situation, as your review is nothing short of a complete fabrication!
We were informed on multiple occasions that you contacted the candidate without notifying us and arranged a second in-person interview without our knowledge, despite our requests for an update and feedback. This made it difficult for us to manage the process effectively from the start.
At Alecto, we have a strict and clear process for good reason. Once engaged, we manage the interview process every step of the way, from communicating with candidates and clients to booking interviews and managing candidate expectations. We deliver offers of employment when instructed and handle notice periods prior to starting.
While we can conduct Right to Work, DBS checks, references, and proof of qualifications upon request, it is ultimately your responsibility as per our terms. Your breakdown in communication and allowing the candidate to work for you without informing us made it impossible for us to conduct the appropriate checks and establish his unsuitability due to a criminal record. This is therefore irrelevant and something we cannot be liable for. Despite our best attempts to communicate this process to you, you arranged interviews and allowed the candidate to work without our knowledge. At no point did you provide updates.
We have a text from you to the candidate offering him work and leads, although he would need to provide his own vehicle and expenses.
I also have WhatsApp messages and photographs supporting the above.
Based on the above, Alecto Recruitment is due a fee for the introduction of the candidate, we supplied a candidate, you engaged them. We wanted resolve this amicably and we had a discussion reach a sensible solution, which we did and agreed a very reduced fee for this introduction. Unfortunately following this, we are now met with threats from you which is not a reasonable way to behave.
Please refrain from publishing reviews with incomplete information.
This situation could have been avoided had you communicated with us and not proceeded to employ the candidate without informing us.
Additionally, the message you sent to the candidate stating, "please keep the recruitment company out of this as I don't like paying their fees," suggests you are aggrieved because you have been caught out, more than anything else…..
