Nothing short of exceptional customer service.
We have just received an order of scotchs of which a bruichladdich was amongst them. Prior to shipping the order, Jason and team emailed explaining that the bruichladdich did not come in its traditional, iconic packaging and asked whether we would like a refund, continue with the order, or swap it out. We were quite happy to continue with the order.
As a kindness, Jason and team included a variety of free whisky samples to offset an inconvenience that was in no way their doing... but here's the thing, they didn't just throw in some random samples, it was clear they looked at our order and whisky taste and included selected samples that complimented our order.. to us, this is simply old school, personalised customer service and appreciation. So rare these days.

Very easy to use website, quick responses, VERY well wrapped 3 bottles of scotch that is a little hard to find, quick & efficient confirmation & with Free Post the delivery was still efficient.
Cant' ask for better service than that. 10/10!

They allow purchase by PayPal but don't have an account so never accepted the payment instead cancelled the order.

We are sorry this was your experience.
When AlcVol was newly launched on Shopify, an account was automatically created within the platform without our knowledge, which caused an issue with this PayPal transaction. As we did not have access to that account, we were unable to process the refund from our side in the normal way and communicated this to you, with our apologies, while trying to resolve it.
We have now removed that PayPal account and added our existing business account so this issue will not occur again.
We understand your frustration and regret the inconvenience caused. We have since reviewed our payment setup to help prevent this happening again.
